After hearing everything, Horace grew even more confused. "She's just a CEO of a small company?"

A small fry like that wouldn't even catch Fergus' attention. Why would Kane, of all people, personally get involved?

At the break of dawn the next morning, Damian left the house and headed straight for the mountain ten miles away. After arriving at the summit, he didn't begin his exercise. Instead, he searched around.

"Oh? That woman isn't here today? Did she die of poisoning?"

He shook his head when he saw that May was nowhere to be found. Then, he sat down cross-legged and began to meditate. Even after the sun had fully risen, there was still no sign of May. He had no choice but to head back down the mountain and return to the Spencer residence.
