CHAPTER 14: REFLECTIONS

In the darkened interrogation room, a knock came at the door, and an officer came in to hand John a new folder. It was the forensics report on Irana Long. John took his time to read through it and study the photos of a battered-looking Irana. Then, he gently spread the photos in front of Jolene Knowles.

“You’ve confessed to killing Diana Walker and Suzanne Lee. It won’t make your sentence lighter by not confessing to this last crime.”
