Fiona POV

“Oh, so this is the new team from the new women's department? What can I say? It's going to be a waste of money since the team leader herself is out of shape, so how is she going to be able to meet the demands of the target audience?”

For a moment I stood there, staring at the man in front of me who was deliberately mocking me. “And who would you be?” I asked bluntly.

“Paul Skinner, head of the men's department, at your service,” he said, puffing out his chest proudly and extending his hand to me.

Ah, so this was my business rival? He was leading the men's department and I was in the women's department, so clearly we would be business rivals. And from his greedy look, I could tell we wouldn't get along well.

I didn't even bother to shake his hand in greeting. “I'm Fiona Blackwood, the head of this department. And I think you should know that it's unethical to interrupt meetings you're not supposed to be in,” I said bluntly, not bowing my head to this man.

Third POVThe world turned into a blur in the blink of an eye. Fiona saw the white headlights coming straight at her, blinding, the black car accelerating as if it had a single objective: to end her. The sound of the engine roaring seemed like thunder. In the thousandth of a second, instinct took over. She turned the wheel with all her strength, the tires screamed on the asphalt, her car skidded, hit the curb with violence, the airbag exploded in her face, but stayed upright. The black car flew past her side, completely lost control and crashed head-on into a concrete pole with a crash that made the ground shake and the windows of nearby buildings vibrate. The silence that came after was worse than any noise. The black car’s engine was still spewing black smoke. Shattered glass everywhere. The pole was bent, wires throwing blue sparks in the dark. The smell of burnt rubber and gasoline invaded everything.Fiona was shaking so much she could barely hold the wheel. The heart was b

Rachel POVThe room was shrouded in shadows, lit only by the faint moonlight slipping through the half-open window like a silver thread cutting through the dark. My chest rose and fell in spasms, still trying to catch up with the storm that had just torn through me.My body was pressed against his, warm, sweaty, sated—but my mind was a battlefield, screaming at me, cursing me for giving in again. I didn’t want to think. Didn’t want to face the truth burning inside me like embers that never died: I had just made love to Jeremy again. Even knowing he belonged to someone else.Even knowing he was engaged. We lay there, the silence swallowing us whole. The only sound was our ragged breathing, echoing in the emptiness of the room like a reminder of what I’d done. I should’ve said something—confronted him, kicked him out, ripped him from me like I could erase what had just happened. But the weight of his body against mine, the familiarity of that heat, kept me paralyzed, a prisoner of my ow

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    Bonus: My Downfall

Rachel POVI should’ve sent him to hell. Should’ve spat in his face, screamed until my voice gave out, and thrown him back out the window like the trash he was. But my hand betrayed my brain, moving on its own, unlocking the window in an impulse I couldn’t control. I stepped back, my heart pounding in my chest, as Jeremy gripped the frame and slid inside, landing on my bedroom floor with a hoarse sigh, as if he’d climbed a mountain to reach me.“What the hell are you doing here?” My voice came out sharp, torn by a mix of anger and a pain that felt like it was burning me alive. He stood slowly, wiping sweaty hands on his dark pants, his green eyes glinting in the dim light with a desperation that mirrored the chaos inside me. “I needed to talk to you, Rachel.”I let out a dry laugh, but it broke halfway, a pathetic sound that betrayed how shattered I was. “Talk? You want to talk now? After using me like a toy and tossing me aside like I was nothing?”Jeremy shook his head hard, his mes

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    Bonus: You stole from me what we could have been

Rachel POVI locked my bedroom door with such force that the click echoed like a gunshot through the silent mansion. My chest felt like a bomb about to explode, each heartbeat brimming with hatred, pain, and a betrayal that burned hotter than anything I’d ever felt.“Goddamn it, I hate him! I hate him so much!” My teeth were clenched as I screamed.I hurled my purse against the wall, and it hit the floor with a dull thud, but even that didn’t ease the storm raging inside me. My eyes stung, but I refused to cry—not for him, not for that bastard Jeremy. How could he? How did he have the nerve to tell me he loved me, to promise me a future, to take me to bed and make me feel like I was the only woman in the world, all while he had a fiancée?Celine Fischer. That snobbish blonde with her fake smile and venomous remarks, clinging to him like she owned him. And him… he smiled at her. He let her kiss him right in front of me, with my parents watching like it was some damn fairy tale. My stom

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    Bonus: Devastated promises

Rachel POVThe next day, Jeremy and I woke up together, and we were handling the situation much better than the night before. We were fully aware of what we had done. It was wrong that we were getting romantically involved like this, but it wasn’t as if we were strong enough to avoid it, and there was a certain acceptance in that realization. It was wrong, but at least it meant something to us. And I couldn’t hide how happy I was—the fact that I woke up next to him after the incredible night of love we’d had was simply rejuvenating. I felt so joyful that I was even humming in the bathroom, putting on makeup in front of the mirror. Then my love appeared and hugged me from behind, nuzzling and kissing my neck. “You’re in a good mood today. Mind telling me why?” he asked, his voice heavy against my ear.I smiled, feeling shivers as the backs of his fingers slid down my bare arm—it was so good it made me tremble all over, and not only that, it was nice that today he wasn’t avoiding me lik

  • The CEO's Unwanted Wife    Bonus: Temptation's last breath

Rachel POV“The silence says it all, Rachel. Do you know why? Because that’s the only truth, and it doesn’t matter if there’s a blood tie or not, I’m your uncle, you’re my niece, and we’re both going to hell.”Jeremy’s words echoed inside me like a chorus of self-flagellation and overwhelming guilt. So that was it—he was nothing more than a f*ck*ng temptation, and neither he nor I had been strong enough to overcome this evil.Yes, what we had just done was utterly repulsive, unnatural, unthinkable, and immoral. It was completely forbidden. And for a moment, I began to doubt whether I truly loved Jeremy or if it was the lure of sin screaming louder inside me all this time.I mean, I could have had any boy in my life. I could have thrown myself into guys like Brad and fallen for them like everyone else did, but here I was, consumed by this inconceivable fixation on my own uncle, the man who was supposed to be like a second father to me. And I had dragged him into it—I had seduced him s
