Chapter - 8 ( Betrayal Unveiled )

As I lay on the hospital bed, I felt like I was drowning in pain. Every breath felt like a struggle, and every heartbeat felt like a hammer striking against my chest. The memories of Renad and Hussein's cruelty and Jacob's betrayal played in my mind like a never-ending nightmare, and I couldn't escape the suffocating darkness.

Tears flowed down my face, staining the sterile white sheets. I wanted to scream, to lash out at the unfairness of it all. But no sound came out of my mouth, and my body felt numb and empty.

In the midst of my despair, I heard a faint whisper, and I looked around, confused. Then, I heard it again, and I realized it was my mother's voice. She had passed away many years ago, but her words were crystal clear in my mind.

"Ameera, my dear child, you are not alone. I am here with you, always."

Her words hit me like a tidal wave, and I felt the tears streaming down my face. I had missed her so much, and the pain of her absence had only grown with time.
