Chapter 6

                                LU CHEN.

In the Lu Mansion

Lu Chen was  in his room, glancing his laptop when a knock was heard on the door.

Come in , the door opened and his secretary entered the room. 

Young Master, his secretary Xi Min greeted as he entered. What is it was the reply he got from the young man sitting on his bed with a laptop.

Young master, Mr Mu brought in his Niece to stay with him and from the look of things he will also be tutoring her. 

What is her name, Lu Chen asked .   Li Xinyi the secretary answered.

Oh she is from the Li  family , the young master said nodding his head as if he discovered an answer to really hard question. You may  go and prepare the car now, I will be getting ready soon. Lu Chen said dismissing his secretary.

As soon as his secretary left, he went to the bathroom to take his bath. An hour later Lu Chen came downstairs all ready to go.

He went to the dining room  but as soon as entered the cook hasn't finish preparing the meal. Lu Chen was so annoyed that he scolded the cook so severely that she cried but he wasn't at least bothered because he was really paying her for the service she rendered.

After scolding the cook he left angrily, when he came outside his secretary was already standing outside with the car. As soon as he saw his young master he opened the car door and waited for him to enter.

As Lu Chen entered he closed the car door and entered the car taking the drivers seat.

Lu Chen always liked his secretary to drive him around instead of the chauffeur hired by his family.

As soon as Xi Min entered the car and  sat at the drivers seat " young master should I drive straight to Mr Mu's house or will you be heading to some where first? he asked .

Take me there directly, Lu Chen said closing his eyes.  The secretary nooded his head and started the car.

After an hour and some minutes they arrived at their destination. 

When Lu Chen alighted from the car and was about to enter the house he stopped because he remembered something. He turned to his secretary and said," I want to read about that girl's background. As soon as he said that the secretary typed something on his iPad and the gave the phone to his young master.

Lu Chen collected the phone and read through what he was given carefully as if reading a business proposal.

As soon as he finished reading, he handed back the phone and went inside the house.    On entering the living room he scanned it with his eyes trying to find Li Xinyi . just when he was about to sit down he heard a voice from the dinning area.

Uncle it's time for breakfast, come down fast or else you will come to meet an empty table.

I'm coming her uncle said, I'm just getting dressed I will be there in a jiffy dear her uncle replied.

As she turned to go back to kitchen to tidy things up, she saw the face of the person with whom she had come to love.

Hi good morning, you must be the famous Lu Chen my uncle always brags about she said extending her hand for a handshake.

Good morning to you too, he said shaking her hands I'm the Lu Chen you heard about from your uncle. I hope that all the things you heard about me are praiseworthy. He further added.

His secretary was shocked at his masters talkative ness today. His master that only says one word at a time is saying more than five words today.

All that I heard is indeed praiseworthy, Li Xinyi said smiling radiatiantly at him. 

They continue shaking their hands until they heard  Mu Chen voice which brought them back from their dreamland.

Alright, Alright enough of the greetings. Xinyi let's have our breakfast so as we will start early he said heading to the dining area.

Will you mind joining us for breakfast Xinyi asked Lu Chen. I wouldn't mind of course he said shamelessly heading to dining section as well.

His secretary was amazed because his young master is  very selective and picky when it comes to food, not only food but all other things as well.

After they had all settled down in the dinning table and the food was served. They started eating quietly until Lu Chen broke the silence.

Uncle who prepared this wonderful meal, I think I would have to borrow the chef for a month in return for mine he said Mu Chen looked at Xinyi and then smiled, well it is a pity that you can't borrow my chef now because this food was prepared by my beautiful Niece he said raising his shoulder high as if he had won a big lottery.

Uncle, you mean xinyi prepared this meal he asked wanting to be sure of what he heard.

Yes of course, what do you expect from the daughter of Michelen chef. Her mother is the most sought after chef in China.

Lu Chen didn't say a word after that, he bent down and continue eating his food quietly savouring the taste of the food.

After they were done eating,  Lu Chen offered to help wash dishes but Xinyi refused but when he persisted he was allowed to help.

In the kitchen, Xinyi was unnecessarily quiet as if scared of Lu Chen. 

Are you scared of me he asked? Who wouldn't be scared when standing beside the young master of the famous Lu Family.

From today onwards do not be scared of me because I'm not the young master of the Lu family but a friend and fellow disciple of Mu Chen he said.

When his secretary heard him, he nearly fainted out of shock because of the words uttered by his young master. He had even began doubting if the man was truly their youngster or his lookalike.

After the dishes were washed, they both proceed to the study room where their tutor was already waiting for them with a very serious face  totally different from the person in the dinining room moments ago..
