                       Chapter 2

                    Five Years Back.

  Xinyi, Xinyi wake up it is morning already. Lee Chun, Xinyi's mother kept shouting as she tried to wake her up. 

  Xinyi jolted awake, she was surprised to see herself in her room together with her mother.

Didn't they kill her mother? Didn't they kill her ?

What is happening? She asked herself. Did you say anything Xinyi Darling, her mother asked her. No mum I didn't, she said.

I will go and washup now mum, she said and hurried to the bathroom to avoid her mother's interrogation.

As she entered the bathroom, she went directly to mirror to see things for herself. She was surprised and shocked to see the version of the girl  in the mirror.

This was a twenty years old her , this was before the time her mother was given poison . this was the very day her mother secretly took her to learn computer programming, she could remember how she quarreled with her mother on that day because she was against the idea.

She smiled, the heavens has indeed given her second chance to right all her wrongs. She will surely make those bastard pay for what they did.

She happily went to the shower to take her bath and dress up for her classes though her mother haven't told her yet.

After taking her bath, she tried her body and applied her skin care product . she now went to her closet to wear her clothes. The closet was very huge with various clothes for different occasions. Her mother is a fashion designer, so was she also but only few people knew about it. Not even her former boyfriend, best friend and father knew about it. Now she realized why her mother said that certain things should be kept secret from her friends.

After wearing her clothes, she went down to the dining table for her breakfast. Her father and mother were already sitted.

Xinyi hurry up, the food is getting cold her father said. She rolled her eyes and walk down the steps carefully like a pregnant lady till reached the dining . Good morning dad, she greeted her father as she sit on her chair beside her mother. Good morning to you too Xinyi, how was your night?. It was fine she answered. 

The food was served and they started eating, the breakfast was unusually quiet this morning, until her mother said, I will be taking Xinyi somewhere today. Xinyi saw her father paused , it was for a brief moment but she still noticed it. Alright he said nonchalantly but please be save he said as if cares.

We will, her mother answered and the breakfast continued in silence until they were done. After  breakfast, he left for work.

Xinyi go and dress up , we will be going out soon. To where mum? Li Xinyi asked.

You will know when we get there her mother said. OK she said as she ascended the stairs to her room to get dressed.

After thirty minutes she came out ready. Mum I am ready she said.

Alright darling let's go her mother said picking up her car keys.

As they reached their car, the bodyguards are already waiting for them

We will go alone, Mu Min Xinyi's mother said .

But madam, the head but tried talking to her but was halted by Mu Min.

Don't you dare disobey my words or else I will chop of your limbs and feed them to my pet dogs, she threatened them.

The body guards were silenced by this threat , so they backed off. They know how scary their madam could be when provoked. They have seen her in gym sparing with some of the guards before . she was a different person altogether when sparing and she is capable of protecting herself and the young miss if anything should happen. Little did they know that young miss who seem harmless was also ruthless fighter like her mum. She was trained by elite fathers whom they don't of.

They were brought back from their thought when they heard the  sound of the car leaving the mansion.

The head body guard sighed and went in to call their master and notify him about what happened.

Sir, madam left and asked us not to follow her , the bodyguard said as soon as the call was connected.

What did you mean that you are not allow to follow her? He asked as if not understanding the body guard message. 

Sir she threatened to chop off our limbs if we follow her, the body guard added.

Alright , ask the elite team to follow her secretly he said and disconnected the call.

Meanwhile in the car, Mum why didn't you allow the body guards follow us. Xinyi asked her mother. Mu Min smiled and said to her, Xinyi somethings are meant to be kept secret .  Alright mum but where are we going ? She asked again .

You will know when we get there was the only answer she received from her mother.

When she was about to speak again, She was interrupted by her mother. Xinyi help me put a call across to your father she said calmly.

Mum, is there anything the problem? Xinyi asked . No dear nothing happened I just want to issue a warning she replied.

Alright mum, xinyi said as she dialed her fathers phone number.

As the call was connected, she could hear people shuffling clothes , she could remember that in the past the same thing happened but when she asked her father he said he was arranging his files. How naive had she been then. She could remember her mother didn't say anything but just shook her head at his reply then.

Good day dad, mum wants to speak with you, she went straight to the point to avoid him telling her another lie this time around .

OK, give her the phone he said. Li Xinyi just  put the call on hands free .

Li Songhai, tell your elite team to retreat now if you don't want to lose them. Her mother bellowed even Xinyi was scared for a brief moment but regained her composure immediately.

The phone was quiet for a while, she even have to check if the call is still connected.

I will call them back, she heard her father say. Then the call was disconnected.

After the call, the rest of the journey was done in silence until the car came to a halt to what look like a dilapidated house.
