Killian clasped his Samsung Galaxy Z Fold tightly, resisting the urge to call her. He had been doing that for a while now.

Mayeli was messing with his head. First she liked him, now he liked her, she wasn't interested in him. It didn't make sense. And now they were other guys? Huff, what was he going to do?

“You said you wouldn't contact her first”, Tyse said, lying on Killian's bed. “I love your room, Zed”.

Killian ran his hands through his hair, letting out a frustrated sigh. “I don't know what to do, Cas”.

“I'm sorry you got rejected, but I think you should let her be”.

“She said she needed time to think. I didn't get rejected”.

Tyse chuckled, sitting up. “That's also a way of saying I'm not interested”.

Killian’s already depressed mood dampened more. Why would Mayeli reject him? They spent quality time together, and she had been happy, so what was her reason?

“Perhaps she likes the Nathan dude. Didn't you say they were so close?” Tyse asked.
