(Elina)
"What happened to you?"
"Nothing okay," I said while keeping my best friend at arm's length.
"You gotta be kidding…I was worried sick the last two days you didn't show up for school,"
"Forget it okay, it's not a big deal," I cut her off before she could go into her detective mode and ask me questions.
“This… this is a two-way thing… we need to come up with a plan”
“I'm not certain… sounds like trouble”
“Elina, we are trying to solve this… I mean… W-what if the rascal hurts you” Hazel whispered while glancing around the cafeteria. Many people were eating. Hazel was a pain in the neck. I thought we could come here and have a decent meal after sickening class. Unfortunately, she didn't stop nagging me about different plans to escape my betrothal.
“And I say cut it out… I told you about my secret…but that doesn't mean you should lecture me” I whispered back, not wanting anyone to hear our discussion. Hazel was my human friend. We attended the same school and did most mischievous things together. She was like my right hand. I couldn't do without her. However, she was full of crazy plans. I was already knowledgeable about everything.
“Last summer… you said the same and look at us… you are going to leave me…it's not fair” she whined while stuffing her face with fries. It was funny how cute she looked whenever she pouted.
“I can't go against traditions okay… it's inevitable… everyone does it… so why can't I” I was done investigating how to get out of the situation. Violetta was somehow right. I needed to embrace this.
“Plus I'll be a queen or princess… I mean whatever title I'll hold” I said nonchalantly and took a sip of my smoothie. It was about time,
“But there has to be love… or feelings… I mean…” Hazel said, waving her hands in the air dramatically when she was cut short.
“Hey, ladies” came a male voice that always had me blushing. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was.
“Hey, Andrew… what gives” it was Hazel who said. The heavy male cologne hit my nose. So masculine and beautiful. He pulled out a chair and sat down
“Hey Lina…” he said and, like a fool, I looked up at him and nearly melted. His lips curled upwards into a cute smile. Such beautiful blue eyes he had. Andrew was my human crush. He was 20 years old. His friends called him Andy; hence I did the same.
“Hey Andy… Late for lunch again” I teased and he chuckled. His voice was deep and fruity.
“Well, I had football practice… The coach didn't leave us alone,” he said, and Hazel and I nodded. He was the star player. Handsome and liked by all the girls.
“I'm sure your coach is an asshole…why would he jeopardize your lunch…how crazy, “Hazel remarked, she had a loose mouth? Despite the many gestures, I was giving her to shut the heck up. She didn't do so.
“Okay… So now gotta run…buy Andy, “Hazel said as if realizing we wanted to be alone. I would rather not be alone with Andy. My brain didn't function well whenever he was around. “Bye Elina. I'll text you at night” She said her goodbyes and left the cafeteria. By now, some students were leaving. Our classes were done for the day. Hence, I just had to have lunch and then return home.
“So… how about a walk?” Andy said, turning back to me. It was awkward between us. I didn't know what to say when he was smiling cutely at me.
“Okay… I mean, if you would rather not have lunch… What am I saying, of course you need to eat something… should I call the waiter and…”
“Lina” Andy cut me off and like a fool, I buried my face in my palms. Exhaling heavily, I didn't know how I got like that whenever he was around.
“It's okay… I'll order something to go… come,” he said in between chuckles and reached for my hand. I didn't know what to do. But seeing his smooth hand with clean long fingers, I couldn't resist but take it, and he pulled me off the chair.
Soon we left the cafeteria, and we started heading toward the football field. By now it was empty. There was a secret garden there. It was beautiful and quiet. Andy normally studied there.
“You are never around. I mean, it's been years, and you still haven't invited me over for lunch to meet your family” Andy said as we walked, I had my smoothie cup in my hand. While he had a bottle of lime soda. Andy was on the gangster side. Wearing dark clothes with a leather jacket and boots. His brown hair fell over his face.
“Well… my dad is kind of strict… he won't let me,” I said, making up an excuse. I didn't know what to tell him when I didn't belong here.
“Oh…then I'm sure he has to meet me and decide… tell you what…how about I come over,” he said and like a fool, I froze in place. Andy stopped in his tracks and glanced back.
“What?” he asked, narrowing his eyes a little
“Well… I mean, Dad”
“He-he chill sweetheart… I won't force you… it's just that” he said with a chuckle and unexpectedly grabbed my hand. The electric current which flowed through me was something I couldn't understand. At the same time. I couldn't bear it.
“No!” the word left my mouth and stepped backwards.
“What is it… I didn't do anything wrong, right” he muttered and walked closer to me. By now we had both stopped at a hidden place.
“Umm, well… I have to go… Mom”
“Elina” he called out my name softly, this was my problem. I turned into a fool whenever he was around.
“I'm having a birthday party tomorrow. You didn't forget did you” he asked and attempted to hold my hand. I withdrew before he could do so.
“O-of course… How can I forget” damn it, I completely forgot about this? He already handed over birthday invitations. Andrew was a star of the school. Every girl wanted to have peace with him and I had a feeling he had a tiny thing for me.
“Please come…for the first time I want you for my birthday” he murmured, the urge to look up at him was imperative, but unfortunately, I kept my head lowered.
“I… I have to go” I said in a rush and stormed away from there. I didn't know if I would attend his birthday.

As soon as I reached home, I snuck towards my room, when suddenly I heard voices coming from my uncle's room.
“Dad… I would rather not, okay!” I heard Jasmine yelling as soon as I landed. She was my cousin, the beloved daughter of my uncle who wanted nothing to do with me because I had no powers.
“I won't let you do this to my beautiful daughter… She deserves a better man than a monster” This time it was Aunt Aural who shouted.
“You are a foolish girl… marrying the Werewolf king will be beneficial for you… you'll hold power” my uncle said, It seemed uncle was again forcing Jasmine to be the Alpha's betrothal, not me.
“Over my dead body will I let you marry off my daughter to a monster” it was the aunt who said. It was funny to hear. I didn't know how to react. So, I was suitable for the monster.
“Dad even if I have to marry some Werewolf… at least not an ugly one…you said it yourself… The alpha is so ugly Dad… why would you wish for me to marry him” Jasmine inquired, it was strange. Even I thought the eldest daughter was suitable for the Werewolf king. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, I quickly dusted myself and left from there
I had to see Mom before I headed to bed.
“For now, just make sure that girl marries him… maybe those wolves will leave us alone… plus… don't you want to rule the supernatural world?” Aural said and gracefully sat down. Collins paced around before he stopped before his wife. Jasmine stood to the sides.
“Dad, this is a good opportunity for you to be the official king… if you marry me off to that monster… then Elina has to stay and be our leader,” Jasmine said with a smirk. Everyone knew their grandma favored Elina and her sister. The old woman even appointed Elina as the next leader of the clan.
“Honey, just think… we are doing her a favor here… marrying her off to that monster will kill two birds with one stone, “Aural remarked shrewdly, her husband was naive. He only thought about power, not his future.
“I see what you are saying, but…”
“No buts' dad… I won't marry an ugly alpha” Jasmine cut her father off, she heard so many things about the alpha king. Many females didn't even desire to be his mate.
They said he was ugly. No wonder he wore a mask…no one had ever seen him.
“Beauty doesn't matter… you two should think twice… think about the power you'll attain as the Werewolf queen…everyone will bow before you… the entire world will be at your feet” Collins said and sat down in his chair…he failed to understand his wife and daughter. Instead of thinking about the future.
“Let that useless girl get married to him. I'm sure the two will suit each other… one ugly and one useless” Jasmine said with a scoff. She was beautiful, a gem who deserved a beautiful man…even if the alpha held power.
As soon as I reached my mom's room, I found her going through a few books. My mom was beautiful, calm, and kind-hearted. To my shame, she resembled my sister more than me. Both my sister and Mom had dark hair and dark eyesNo wonder I was called a freak. My hair color and eyes were different from the rest“You came early today… no tests” my mom asked without even turning around. With a smile, I rushed to her and hugged her from behind. “Sweet mother, you know I can't stay away from you,” I said, tightening my grip around her. The reason I didn't want to go was because of my mom and sister. These two meant the world to me. Leaving so soon was hurting me… I had to take care of them both. Who knew what would happen if I left“Young lady, do you need anything?” Mom asked and shrugged me away. Of course, she knew me very well. “Mom…come” Grabbing her hand I led her to the sofa. She sat down gracefully and I did the same. Looking at her, she seemed worried. I wanted to ask but dropped the
Elina was more than happy. Dressed in a black leather mini skirt reaching mid-thigh high with a matching strapless crop shirt. The black ankle boots went with the outfit. The small crop shirt showed off her toned belly, her blonde hair falling to her waist in waves.“Woah!” various screams erupted in the room even though the music was loud. Elina shyly made her way inside the club. The club in particular had an attached hotel. Hazel told her it had rooms where most lovers took shelter whenever they drank more than they should have. She had no idea that Andy was throwing her birthday bash in such a place.“What's up baby girl… looking hot” one of the guys passed commented when she walked right past them.“Hey, Elina… how about a dance” one of them blocked her way. With ease, Elina brushed her hair off her face and looked at the boy busy trying to flirt with her.“Melvin… are you seriously trying,” she said, arching her brows at him. The music was too loud and the many boys dancing with
Thunderstorms brought the ugliest memories, the heavy pounding of rain on the roof made it sound like the roof was about to cave in. The coldness from the wind made it hard for Elina to think."No…let me go!" She screamed her lungs out as she struggled to breathe."Mine!" Growls erupted from the man's blood-filled mouth. Her fragile form was trapped beneath the half-naked man."Ahh! This…this is a mistake…let go!" The icy feeling in her heart extended deep into her bones. No matter how she screamed, begged, and kicked. She was still in the man's hold."Little one ... .you better…keep still," the man moaned, this time he loosened his grip on her, and Elina felt cold fingers tracing on her belly. Sucking in her breath. She recalled that voice."No…no…please…" she pleaded as her eyes opened, it was dark and she couldn't see the person's face. But why was his touch making her feel hot all over?“Ahh!” A loud cry left her trembling lips when her clothes were ripped off her body together wit
“Huh…what the heck happened to you” it was even worse. Something disgusting, which I found when I woke up. I was in a dirty room, lying in bed naked. I didn't recall anything. Nor did I know the cabin I found myself in? The room was small and things were broken and lying all over the floorI was frightened. Afraid of what happened to me. But I saw it was morning. I had to run. To go home before anyone noticed I didn't sleep at home.“Elina… this is terrible” Violet's voice jerked me back to my senses only to realize I had been sitting on the floor weeping like a five-year-old. I was doomed, nothing went right, and now I had to answer to my cousin who happened to find me when I came in.“I… I don't know, okay… I don't know” I didn't know anything. All I recalled was red eyes and nothing else. I tried to recall something to help me understand the situation more… Unfortunately, nothing.“It's dark alright… l-look at this” Violet stammered and turned me towards the mirror so that my back
(Elina)Saying goodbye to my mom was the hardest, my heart was bleeding just the thought of leaving my home.My sister was well awake, for the first time I saw my sister she'd in tears. Even when she woke up in the past and found herself bedridden. My sister never shed a tear. She was my strength and my weakness. Leaving her was not what I wanted“I know okay… I love you very much… but you… you don't have to worry”I said, wiping her tears away. She couldn't speak, but only made sad muffled sounds. I asked everyone to let us alone… so, I could say goodbye to her“I'll make sure to visit you every season” it was hard, seeing her crying over my departure hurt me more than anything“I love you sis” I threw myself in her arms and rested my head on her chest. My arms circled her, I could feel her heart beating in desperation. It was like she was trying to tell me somethingIf only she could talk. Maybe she could tell me what was in her heart. Who attacked her and why was she always afraid.
Walking around the large castle-like mansion. I didn't know what to do. It was in the middle of the night. That lady, I didn't even know her name. Took me to a bedroom. It was on the second floor of the castle. The interior design was dark and Gothic. I didn't understand why I felt goosebumps all over my body just being here. Everything was horrible, I missed my mom and sister. I missed my bed and my little pet deer. I couldn't sleep mainly because I kept waking up, my throat was dry; hence I found myself out of the room and walking down the long dim passageway. It would have been better if they installed some bright lights. The dim ones gave a creepy scenery “Now…where is the kitchen, “I needed to drink water. My throat was dry and hurting. I should have asked that lady to get me some water, unfortunately, I was too nervous to do so. “Oh god… what should I do?” I was lost. Toast and damned because I found myself standing in a place I didn't recall passing through with the lady.
The lady before her was Florence, she wasn't old but with her stern face, she looked scary. She had dark ebony hair tied behind in a neat bun. She wore a black skirt reaching above her knees and a black long-sleeved tuck-in shirt with black. Sandals. Elina didn't know why the presence of the lady gave her chills“Young lady… you must have been exhausted,” Florence said, placing the clothes on the bed carefully. Elina scanned the clothes and then the lady. It wasn't an illusion, she saw everything, “please get ready because breakfast will be in ten minutes” the lady added and straightened up. Elina wanted to protest more, however, seeing how Florence was trying to ignore the situation.“When…when can I meet the Alpha?” Elina said, not sure if it was a good idea. She wanted nothing to do with him. It was good that she was sleeping in her room. It was cozy and spacious. Nothing like her old room back home.“Are you that eager?” Florence asked, sounding cold. Again, the strangest thing ab
(Elina)His voice was frightening as he gave his orders“For going against me…for breaking the rules… elder Shang, how about the four if you go on a hunt,” he said like a king, no one dared to move. I stood there frozen in place, one thing I was baffled about was his voice, deep and masculine. So scary and carried authority that my back hair rose from fear.“My wolves are hungry… how about you go on a hunt… kill the wolves in the woods…bring me their heads… failure to that… your heads will be delivered on a platter for me to step on!” his voice rang throughout the room, deafening my ears. How powerful was he, how cruel“Please alpha, we didn't mean to… spare us…”“My Lord… spare us… forgive us”“Failure to hunt, then you'll all die, now scram!” the king shouted as the men pleading kowtowed repeatedly. How cruel was he to send them on a hunt? I wanted to run. Despite the distance, I could feel a powerful aura radiating from the man seated on the high chain made of gold. Why were the
