Keira's pov

I sniffed the pretty rose flowers as I walked down the pathway, lined with different flowers.

It was a cool beautiful evening, the perfect time for a walk and with Callum taking care of some pack business I had nothing to do.

I mused on how my life had changed drastically in a span of a month and what a wonderful month it has been.

Everyone at Callum's pack was warm and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable in their pack and so far no one had questioned me on why they had never seen me transform.

Callum was a whole different issue and I blushed at the mere thought of him.

The man was built to be a sex machine, to give unthinkable heights of pleasure. I couldn't, however, stop wondering why he chose to lie to everyone about being crippled.

The man he was once we were alone was anything but crippled or with any disability.

I wondered what his reasons were and I realized that I knew absolutely nothing about my husband except his sexual appetite.

A hand gripped my wrist and pulled me sgarply behind a tree and before I could scream a hand was placed over my mouth.

My eyes met familiar hazel ones and I gasped as the hand slowly dropped away from my mouth only to be covered with his lips.

Asher kissed me with such force I feared my lips would bruise.

Kisses I once enjoyed now seemed bland and sorely lacking, thanks to Callum, and I pushed him away.

My traitorous mind compared the two and I shook my head as Asher came out, sorely lacking.

He didn't make me burn with desire or go mad with need but he was my sweet, caring and protective Asher.

"What are you doing here Asher?" I questioned as he stared down at me.

"You aren't happy to see me." He deadpanned and I swallowed.

"Of course I'm happy to see you." I wrapped my arms around him and laid my head against his chest.

It was true. A part of me was happy to see Asher, seeing him again aroused tender feelings in me...feelings which were much more sweet and tender than the raging and burning passion I felt towards Callum.

"How can you ask what I'm doing here? Surely you must know wherever you are I will follow." He caressed my cheeks gently and I closed my eyes for a moment.

"You can't be here Asher, it's too dangerous." I whispered but he ignored me and scooped me up in his arms.

"Why did you marry him Keira?" His eyes searched mine and I looked away.

"I didn't have a choice. Maya ran off and if there wasn't a wedding my entire family would have been banished." I explained.

"And so you sacrificed yourself and our love." He deadpanned and I winced.

"I had no choice." I sighed.

"You could have come to me. Even if you were banished here I would have welcomed you into my pack without a moments hesitation." He proclaimed.

"And allow my family face shame when you know all they value is honour and prestige?" I quirked a brow at him.

"What has been done cannot be undone and honestly, I don't want to fight with you Peach." Asher cradled my face in his palms.

"I'm sorry." I whispered as tears prickled the back of my eyes.

"It's alright, It wasn't your fault." He comforted me and I closed my eyes and enjoyed the familiar warmth he offered me.

"Let's run away peach." Asher broke the serene silence and I jerked up to look a him.

"What?" My brows furrowed.

"Let's run away together. I don't care that that crippled beast has marked you. I don't care about anything else except you and me." He announced and I slowly pulled away from him. My first instinct was to defend Callum but I taped down the urge...it would only make Asher angrier.

"Asher, I can't-"

"Do you still love me?" He asked, cutting me off.

"You know I do." I muttered.

"Then let's go. This is the only way we can be together." He pressed on.

"Callum will kill both of us." I stared calmly.

"So he is Callum to you now." His nostrils flared and I looked away from him.

"Do you love him?" Asher asked, his eyes scanning my face.

"Of course not." I replied and a part of my heart clenched.

"Then there's nothing stopping us peach. I promise I won't let him hurt you, ever." He promised.

"Asher I'm sorry-" I began but he silenced me.

"Just think about it before you make a decision, we could be happy Keira." He whispered and I nodded slowly.

Satisfied with my answer for now, he placed a light kiss onto my lips.

"Take care of yourself." He caressed my cheeks one last time before he left.

I walked back to the pack house in a daze, my mind a jumbled mess.

I took great care to avoid Callum and headed straight to the shower to wash off Asher's scent from me.

"You were gone the whole evening." Callum commented as I strolled into the dining room.

"I wanted to take a walk and I lost track of time." I revealed, ignoring my pounding heart.

What if he knew Asher was here?

What would he say?

I looked away from Callum, afraid my guilt was written all over my face as I began to nibble at my dinner.

Loud voices echoed through the house seconds before one of the guards made their way into the dining room.

"Someone is here to see you Luna, they are quite adamant they won't move an ich unless you come outside and speak to them." The man informed me and my heart beat spiked.

I was almost a hundred percent sure it was Asher and I couldn't help but wonder if he had a death wish.

I briskly rose and made my way out, aware of Callum wheeling leisurely at his pace.

What would I possibly say when he say Asher?

As I pushed open the front door I stopped in my tracks as I stared at the ever familiar grey eyes I had known growing up.

"Maya?" I looked at her in shock and confusion.

I blushed as I stepped into the dining room.I was unsure how to act or what to say to Alpha Callum as he gazed at me across the dining room.He was back in the wheelchair and I couldn't help but quirk my brow in question."Good morning." He replied, his eyes followed me like a hawk as I slowly took my place at the table and was served my breakfast.I was sore but in the most pleasant way possible. Callum was insatiable through out the night and had woken me up for another bout of lovemaking in the middle of the night."Leave us." His voice boomed in the middle of our meal and the servants filed out of the room, closing the door behind them."How are you feeling?" He asked as he rose from his chair."I'm okay." I looked away from him but he gently pulled my face back towards him. With a swipe of his hand, he cleared the dishes from the table and they went crashing on the floor but Callum didn't care as he lifted me and placed me on the table, wedging himsel

My mother gently caressed my sister's cheek with affection."You've brought great honour to this family and tomorrow we would be the envy of all the families in the kingdom." She continued.
