Chapter 002

Nova was getting dolled up for the dinner with Aeros and his important business clients. Reverie did not have any tattoos so she had to cover up the tattoo on her hip by wearing a long black silk gown which shimmered with every step she took.

Also to make her look identical to Reverie, they made her wear a wig chestnut dark brown hairs that reached till her waist. Nova had short hairs, being in prison for years she was accustomed to short hairs. 

They put on makeup and expensive jewellery on her, Nova barely recognised herself. She was an underground fighter who made money by injuring herself. 

She looked like a real young lady of an  elite family. 

"Be careful with the heels, and the driver will drive you to the location" Ms June uttered.

Nova shook her head in disagreement, "I'll drive by myself, Reverie has a licence, right?" 

"Yes she does but Reverie is an amateur when it comes to driving, she relies on the driver" 

"It's quite boring to sit and wait, I'll drive by myself, give me the keys" Nova reasoned out, 

"Fine, drive safely" Ms June said giving in her demand. 

The car looked super expensive, a Ferrari she always wanted to drive,  how could she miss such an opportunity? She slid in the driving seat putting in the keys bringing the engine to life, as she drove off to her destination. 

She reached the luxurious restaurant, she pulled the keys and got out of the car, there she saw a familiar figure with a woman by his side, she immediately recognised that man, he was her husband

She walked towards him forcing a smile, he gazed at her, "you're five minutes late" he uttered

'huh? His wife just came back from another country and the first thing he says to her is that she's late!' Nova thought to herself 

"Chill it's five minutes not fifty minutes" was Nova's response

"Take it more seriously, we're not here to play house" he stated as he walked in, Nova glared at him. Sienna smirked at her.

The employees of the restaurant bowed to him as they walked in, the manager showed them a private table. Nova made herself comfortable in her seat. Aeros looked at her furrowing his brows.

Nova gave him a confused look, is there something on my face? She thought to herself "what's your deal?" She questioned in a low voice

"That piercing, remove it" he ordered pointing his finger towards her eyebrow, she trailed her fingers on it as a gasp escaped her lips, fuck how did I not notice it!! 

She hurriedly removed the piercing, she knew that Reverie wasn't fond of such things. 

The vip clients arrived as they stood up from their seats in respect, Nova's eyes widened, "Calix" she muttered to herself lowering her face, 

It was none other than her best friend from Italy, Calix Diaz, the man she met in a street bike race, he was the sponsor of that race and got her into bike racing, she knew he was an influential man but she wasn't aware of the fact that he'd be the business client of Aeros. 

"It's nice to meet you, Mr Calix Diaz" Aeros uttered offering a handshake, he was a professional at this, Calix returned the handshake, "It's a pleasure Mr Aeros Valencia" 

He looked at Nova, "This is my wife, Reverie Laurent" Aeros said introducing Nova to him 

Calix squinted his eyes as he recognised the face of the woman beside Aeros, "You—" before Calix could utter another word Nova quickly picked up a glass of water and splashed it on Calix 

"Reverie!" Aeros exclaimed, Sienna let out a sarcastic chuckle

"I'm sorry, sorry" Nova fake apologised walking towards Calix, "Nov—" as Calix tried to speak Nova shushed him by covering his mouth, Aeros's face reddened in anger, before he could snap at her Nova uttered "I'll get it fixed for you" pulling him with her to the restroom 

She slammed him lightly on the wall, "what were you thinking?" She spoke

"It should be me who asks questions, why the hell are you Aeros Valencia's wife?" Calix questioned

"See I can't explain everything right now, things led to things and I ended up here but trust me I'm doing this because of a reason" Nova convinced the worried Calix

"Alright I'll play along, but what was the need of splashing a full glass of water on me!" Calix grumbled 

"I'm sorry for that, but you wouldn't shut your mouth if I didn't do that" Nova dictated pulling the dry towel from the corner and wiping his shirt with it. Calix slightly blushed by her gesture. 

Nova noticed his cheeks getting flushed red, "What are hell are you getting red for you pervert, do it yourself!" She remarked throwing the towel at him before turning her heels, 

she halted in her steps when she saw Aeros standing by the door, leaning against the door frame. He was throwing daggers at her like he would eat her alive. 

"Are you done yet?" He questioned in a dead serious tone

Nova did not know what response she should give to him, thankfully Calix stepped up for her, "She's an old acquaintance of mine, I was glad to see her again" he said 

Aeros sighed in defeat, as they were again sat in the awkward atmosphere with a thick air of tension, the next few hours Aeros and Calix discussed about business. Sienna also joined them by sides. Calix and Nova exchanged a few glances with eachother. 

The food was served to them as Nova digged in without hesitation. As the time ticked it only made Nova more nervous.

"That's it, Mr Calix I hope you were satisfied with our proposal" Aeros concluded, 

"I must say I'm intrigued but it would be a hasty decision by my side to sign off a deal now, how about you set up another meeting and we discuss the further details of the contract?" Calix inquired taking a bite of the steak 

"Sure, we're looking forward to work with you Mr Diaz" Aeros replied, 

Nova heaved a sigh of relief as the dinner was over, Calix and his secretary left awhile ago, Nova and Aeros walked outside of the restaurant. Sienna came rushing behind them, "Sir please drop me home" she pleaded in a cutesy voice which made Nova cringe.

Nova turned to leave, Aeros stopped her, "Where are you going? Get in the car" He said coldly 

"I drove my car here, why would I get in your car?" Nova replied,

"Fine" Aeros stated as he left with Sienna who gave Nova a smug look.
