Chapter 5

The woman bowed slightly to Sean and said, “Young Master, please, follow me.”

Sean nodded. His gaze slowly swept across Jennie’s and Fikri’s faces before he left with the beautiful secretary, leaving Natalie and the others standing there in silence, shocked and suspicious.

“But, Uncle, I truly don’t want to become the heir of the Diningrat Family! They killed my mother!”

“Young Master, please cooperate, alright?”

Sean and Roby talked for a while. He still did not want to inherit the family fortune, truly unwilling to give in to his father.

However, if he did not sign the agreement, Roby would never lend him the money, or worse, Arga might contact him directly.

Sean let out a helpless sigh and could only pick up the pen and sign the document. After that, he instructed Roby to find someone with the same bone marrow as Andin. He also told Roby to give him three hundred million, then left Martaguna Company.

As for how Roby would inform Arga about this matter, Sean no longer wanted to know. What mattered was that he did not have to contact Arga first. He knew Arga would not contact him first either.

Even if he accepted the inheritance, he had no intention of forgiving Arga so quickly.

When he arrived at the hospital, Sean walked toward the patient room carrying a suitcase. He saw Khair had returned. Not only that, Khair was sitting beside Mega at the edge of the bed, chatting with Andin, who had just regained consciousness. The distance between Khair and Mega was very close, and the two of them were talking happily.

Sean narrowed his eyes and strode into the patient room. He was just about to say that he had obtained the money, that from now on, he would no longer let Mega live in hardship again.

However, before he could open his mouth, Mega looked at him indifferently. “Sean, where have you been? The hospital staff came again earlier asking for payment. If Mr. Khair hadn’t helped pay in advance, Andin might have already been kicked out,” Mega said irritably upon seeing Sean.

Mega noticed the disappointment in Sean’s eyes. Even at a time like this, Sean still ran away for the sake of his pride, even leaving his child behind. She truly regretted marrying a man like him.

“Mom, don’t scold Dad anymore. I was the one who asked Dad for cake, so Dad went to buy it for me. Dad is also very tired,” Andin said after seeing her parents argue again.

Sean had been extremely upset, but the anger in his eyes disappeared instantly after hearing his daughter’s words.

He immediately squatted down and gently stroked Andin’s head. With a faint smile, he said, “Good girl. Dad isn’t tired. In a few days, Dad will find someone who has the exact same bone marrow as you. By then, our cute little beautiful girl will recover and be able to leave the hospital.”

“Is what Dad said really true?” Andin asked happily.

“Yes. Dad will never lie to you,” Sean nodded firmly.

“That’s great! Andin can finally leave the hospital. Mom, see? I told you Dad is really amazing. Right?” Andin laughed joyfully and looked at Mega.

Mega’s face immediately showed a smile when she met her daughter’s gaze. However, she looked at Sean with displeasure.

Her daughter’s condition was worsening and required a large amount of money. With Sean’s abilities, how could he possibly get their child discharged from the hospital so soon? To her, Sean was only making empty promises.

After some time, if he failed to keep his promise, let’s see how he would explain it to their child.

“Mega, don’t mind it. Maybe Sean couldn’t get the money, so he doesn’t want to disappoint Andin.”

“Sean, even if you didn’t get the money, I already helped you pay for Andin’s medical expenses. Besides, Andin has even called me Uncle,” Khair smiled coldly at Sean, looking down on him.

Sean slowly stood up after hearing this and looked coldly at Khair.

Mega frowned when she saw Sean staring at Khair like that. She said, “What are you doing, Sean? If Mr. Khair hadn’t helped us pay the three hundred million, Andin and I might have already been driven out of the hospital. Apologize to Mr. Khair immediately!”

“Why should I apologize to him? I also have three hundred million!” Sean said.

“You? Having three hundred million?” Khair laughed.

His gaze grew even more mocking. Sean was just a lowly security guard, Khair did not believe anyone would lend him such a large amount of money. Mega grew even more irritated, her eyes filled with hatred as she looked at Sean.

Sean let out a cold laugh in response to Khair’s ridicule. Without saying much, he directly opened the suitcase in his hand. Instantly, stacks of red banknotes were displayed in front of Khair.

“Three hundred million. Take this money and leave,” Sean said calmly.
