Katie's POV

I was sitting in my living room, scrolling through my phone when I received a call from Isabella's husband, Mike. My heart sank when I heard the panic in his voice.

"Katie, Isabella's been rushed to the hospital. It's really bad. Can you come down here?" he asked.

Without hesitation, I rushed to the hospital, my mind racing with worry. Isabella and I had been best friends since we were kids, and the thought of something happening to her was unbearable.

As soon as I arrived, I found Mike in the waiting room, pacing back and forth. He looked up at me, his eyes red and swollen with tears.

"Katie, she's in a coma," he said, his voice breaking. "They don't know what's wrong with her."

I felt a lump form in my throat as I tried to hold back my own tears. "We'll get through this," I said, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
