Chapter Twenty

As Cass stepped onto the sprawling grounds of Marcus's multimillion-dollar mansion, her eyes widen with a mix of awe and wonder. She had stepped into houses of the rich and famous when she was a lawyer but this was far more grand than anything she had ever seen.

The exterior of the mansion was a sight to behold, It was an architectural masterpiece. The grand entrance with its double doors and intricate carvings made her feel like she was entering a castle. The white walls were accentuated by beautifully manicured gardens, bursting with vibrant flowers and lush greenery.

They kept driving down a lawn that didn't seem to end. Finally, Cass could see the hint of a mansion up ahead.

The car stopped but Cass was still in a trance at the beauty of the house.

"You can come in this way Miss Thorton" The chauffeur said pointing towards the door.
