“That’s just your normal physiological response…” Claire smiled awkwardly, looking a bit embarrassed.

She tossed the thing in her hand into the garbage bin.

I took a deep breath, shaking my still woozy head. I couldn’t hold it any longer and plopped down on the floor, soaking the ground with a large puddle."

"Physiological response?" I laughed mockingly and hid my face in my knees.

“Can you still stand up?” Claire asked, supporting my arm and half-pulling me off the ground.

I had been holding back some of my body’s reactions when I was hurrying to bring the centrifuge tube to Alice. Now that my nerves relaxed…

“I feel as soft as cotton, soaked cotton.” I moved my fingers, following the tug of my nerves. They barely lifted a bit, then fell down, lying limp on one side. “It feels like I’ve been anesthetized…”

And it was the kind of ‘anesthesia’ that sent electric shocks through my body, leaving only a tingling pleasure.

"Are you okay? You're very not yourself now!" Claire hugged
