Chapter 22:

The blanket was nowhere to be found. I must have kicked it away in my restless sleep.

Darkness enveloped me like a shroud. I felt the dampness of my pajamas, drenched in sweat.

I was awake now, and my throat was parched and raw. I staggered out of bed. My head was throbbing and I nearly collapsed to the floor.

“Am I have a fever?” I wondered.

I touched my forehead, which felt slightly warmer than my palm. Actually, my whole body was burning up. Sweat had wetted my bangs and they stuck to my forehead.

It was only after I gulped down a glass of ice water that I felt a bit less hot.

Did I leave the door open?

The door of my room was somehow open, and the emergency light outside the corridor was not on either.

Looking out from inside, it was creepy and ominous.

I hesitated for a moment, then walked to the door. The blue screen on the wall that controlled the door switch was also dark.

Was there a power outag
