Chapter 15 Are you disappointed?

Aiden's furious voice sliced through the air as he called out, "Grey!"

"What's the matter? Your ex-wife has finally found her courage, and I'm curious to witness her transformation. She should have done it ages ago. Though I never liked her, she truly suffered at your hands," Grey retorted, his tone laced with disdain.

"Suffered? Did she consider that when she took her own sister's life? Did she think about it when she abducted her?" Aiden fought to contain his anger. "You are the chief officer here, do you want to be demoted?"

"You may have a point, but deep down, she's always denied pushing her sister and kidnapping her. What if there's some truth to what she said? And what if the child you killed was actually your own son? You should investigate further; there might be something hidden beneath the surface," Grey said, his words laden with seriousness. He had always sensed that there was more to this story, but Aiden, blinded by love, failed to notice.
