Renna

Anger was pulsating through Xavier, his nostrils flaring and jaw clicking. Perhaps leaving it alone would have been wiser, but the idea of him viewing me as a slut was painful. I have kissed nobody else except for him or Ethan. Let alone gone any further.

I clutch at his shirt but I can see he is’s not in the mood today. He untangles himself from me, a snarl leaves his lips as he looks back towards the booth where Ethan, Lia and that guy are all sitting. One of the other waitresses has taken over. “Xavier … please let’s just leave it,” I whisper as I try to turn him back to face me. The only response he gives is a deep, low growl vibrating from his chest.

He pries my hands off of him as he goes back towards the table. “Xavier,” I call slightly louder. I know he can hear me; he is just choosing not to. “Xavier!” I hiss again as he starts walking swiftly back to the booth. I grip his hand and he spins towards me. “Renna, he disrespected you and me. He deserves a punishment.”
