BACK TO PRESENT
“How about a poem competition?” asked Prince Brayden. He was still looking at Agatha.
“Very well. Very well. It’s been a long time since the great hall has had some laughter. How about Juniper, you start?” asked King Leonardo.
“Humph, you two can play that game of looking at each other,” thought Juniper. “But I have my own ways of making you jealous too.”
“Make it as interesting as you can,” said King Leonardo. He clapped his hands together.
Juniper got up and started the verse of poem with the moon. She then turned to Austin and said, “King Austin, please continue the verse.”
Austin got up and recited his poem. His poem of the moon was par with war heroes. Everyone was praising how talented he was. It went around in a circle traveling from those who wanted to verse about the moon.
Then it was Brayden’s turned, and his moon poem was full of mystery. Everyone nodded their head as his poetry was quite mysterious.
Soon it was Agatha’s turn. “Humph, you want to embarrass me, no thanks. I will show you that even though I was forgotten I’m well gifted in my own way. Even without the help of my father I will succeed in my own way. I will make my own mark,” she thought.
Agatha stood up and talked about her poem. She compared the yearning of the moon with love and romance.
The crowd, shocked to hear such well-versed poem. They all stood up and applauded her. They all went wild with their comments and praises.
Agatha chuckled in shyness.
“Wow, what a way to talk about the moon and it’s lover,” said Prince Bo. He got up and also applauded her.
Prince Brayden also clapped loudly as he had never heard such a good poem before.
Austin was also stunned by her speech of poem. He was left again speechless. He also stood up and applauded loudly at her. He thought his wife was illiterate since she was locked up in a cell for most of her life. But didn’t expect his wife to be smart and was able to recite such a good verse.
Juniper clenches her fist tightly. “How could this curse brat take my glory,” she thought.
King Leonardo frowned. His neglected daughter was locked up for so many years with no one to speak to so how did she get so good at reciting poems. He held up his hand and the crowd went silent.
Agatha looked at her father.
“Now, Agatha, how are you good with literature and poems?” asked King Leonardo.
Agatha said, “While I was in my cell, down in prison there was this famous philosopher. He was always reciting poems, literature, war stories, heroes, reading from memories, and writing what he didn’t want to be forgotten. So, from there I listened and learned off of him. Studying what he was saying.”
“Oh. So that’s how you were so good.”
Agatha nodded.
Austin looked at his wife with a stunned expression. “Wow, no wonder you are so good,” he thought. “Looks like you might be of use after all.”
Prince Brayden stood up and went to Agatha. He took the cup that she was drinking tea from and poured some liquor in it. He raised the cup and said, “To the smart, talented, and beautiful Agatha.”
Agatha thought that if he drank her cup, it would be an indirect kiss.
Austin was frustrated that Prince Brayden was straight forward flirting with his woman now. Just because his woman is beautiful and smart, he is aiming for her. Not only that, but the fact that she happens to be the most gorgeous and stunning woman in the great hall he is purposely going for her. Unable to hold onto his anger he got up from his seat again and took his wife’s cup from Prince Brayden’s hand.
“What-” stuttered Prince Brayden.
“I will take drink for my wife,” said Austin.
“Oh. Very well, King Austin.”
“Yes.”
“Cheers,” shouted everyone.
Everyone down their cup of liquor.
Austin finished his drink with a “gahh”.
Prince Brayden finished his cup and smiled at her.
Agatha chuckled softly as Prince Brayden had some liquor at the corner of his lips.
Prince Brayden smiled at her and said, “If I saw that beautiful smile and heard that lovely laughter of yours before, I wouldn’t have hesitated to marry you.”
Agatha shyly giggled at his words.
Austin’s hand squeezed tightly around his cup.
The young women seating around her also giggled loudly. Whispering that Agatha was so beautiful that the handsome Prince Brayden couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. That and many other men whose gazes are falling upon her.
Irritated, Austin sat next to Agatha. Agatha frowned as to why he sat next to her.
Austin stared at her and had the look of, “Don’t you dare look at me like that.”
Agatha didn’t say anything and scooted over for him to sit next to her.
Austin looking at his wife asked, “Would you like something else besides liquor?”
Agatha frowned. She didn’t understand why all of sudden he was worried about her taste of winery.
“Would you?” he asked again.
Agatha’s frowned deepened.
Austin, irritated by her silence, snake his arm around her waist. He pulled her into his embrace.
Agatha let out a small moaned of, “Ahh.”
The young women giggled with surprises. They couldn’t suppress their shocking expression of how Austin was behaving around Agatha. How protective he is of her.
Agatha was uncomfortable. She thought, “What is this man doing? Why is he doing this all of a sudden?”
“Princess, do you by any chance need rescuing?” asked Prince Brayden.
Agatha looked up at him.
“My wife needs no reasoning to be rescued from her own husband,” answered Austin.
Prince Brayden frowned.
“Prince Brayden,” said Juniper. She ran to him. “would you like to have a drink with me?”
Prince Brayden looked at her and frowned. “Who are you again?”
“It’s me. Juniper.”
“Oh.”
Prince Brayden was losing balance and nearly fell on top of Agatha.
Austin pulled Agatha to him. She nearly kissed him on the cheek. Her breath was so close to his face that he could feel her breathing next to him. He looked at her. He gasped at how beautiful she was in her dress. Her red lips was secretly seducing him.
“I think that’s enough drinking for Prince Brayden,” said Prince Bo running over to his brother. He was helping his brother to stand correctly.
“Oh. Why is that?” asked Prince Brayden, trying to settle himself straight.
“You’re drunk brother.”
“Did I have too many to drink?”
“Yes. I believe you did.”
Prince Brayden looked at Agatha as she caught his eye again. “Who is this beautiful woman?” he asked. He reached out his hand to touch her face.
Agatha tilted her head and stared at him.
Austin saw that Agatha wasn’t moving. Frustrated, he tightened his hold on Agatha and moved her closer into his embrace. He then smacked Prince Brayden’s hand away.
“How dare you!” shouted Prince Brayden, wobbling.
Austin didn’t flinch at his words.
“Prince Brayden,” said Prince Bo, trying to steady his brother.
“Who is this man?” asked Prince Brayden, hiccupping.
“Her husband,” answered Austin.
“Husband?”
“Yes.”
Prince Brayden’s hands went to his face, and he laughed. He pointed his finger at Austin and chuckled, “Aren’t you in love with the King’s favorite daughter Juniper? So, why would you marry this beauty instead?”
Austin frowned.
Juniper stared at Austin. Austin avoided her stare.
Agatha pulled Austin’s arm away from her waist and scooted away from him.
Prince Brayden laughed.
Austin stared at her with his cold eyes.
Agatha looked away from him. Even as she looked away, she could still feel his glaring at her.
“Come on Brayden. We need to get going,” said Prince Bo.
“Where are we going?” questioned Prince Brayden.
“Home.”
“Why?”
“Ah, trust me. It’s about time we leave.”
Agatha also stood up and took a bow. She turned to leave the great hall.
“Wait. Beautiful woman where are you going?” asked Prince Brayden, half drunk.
“Have a good night, Prince Brayden.” Agatha bowed and left.
Austin stared at his wife as she left him alone in the great hall. “Just you wait till I get back into the room. I am going to teach you a lesson,” he thought.
“Wow, I cannot believe that that beautiful women is the cursed princess,” said one of the princess in the great hall.
“Yeah. To imagine a curse princess being married to that dying pack of wolves,” said another princess.
Austin clenched his fist tightly.
“Yeah. To imagine a curse princess being married to that dying pack of wolves,” said another princess.Austin clenched his fist tightly. After a short while, Austin also exited the party and left the great hall.Juniper, seeing that Austin had left the party made an excuse and also followed him out of the great hall.“King Austin,” said Juniper. She ran after him.“Princess Juniper, what are you doing out here?” asked Austin.“I came to find you.”“Find me?”“Yes.” She walked closer to him and pretended to trip on a pebble and fell into his arms.“Careful now,” said Austin. He was helping her steady herself.Juniper looked at him with shimmering eyes.“Are you okay?” asked Austin, with shock. His eyes widening with excitement at her alluring look.“Yes. Yes. I am. Thank you.”“Okay. Well then good night.” Austin turned around and left.Juniper frowned as to why he suddenly left. Didn’t he say that he liked her and fell in love with her at first sight? So why leave? Didn’t he ask for h
Austin couldn’t believe that he walked away from Juniper. The only person he wanted to marry to. She's the reason why he pledged his allegiance. She’s the reason why he went through all of this trouble to begin with. She's the one whom he wanted to be with. How he wanted her as his mate and his Luna. How he dreaded not taking her. Austin's pace quickened. He had to leave. Because if he didn’t, he would really do something he would regret. He would take Juniper right there and then. He had to go before he does something he shouldn't. That is hurting his mate. He nearly ran to his room as he was shaking off his feelings. When Austin got to his room. He stood outside, staring at the window. Looking at the woman who ruined it all, Agatha. How he hated her. How she had ruined everything. Austin went to the room and kicked the doors open. "Ah!" screamed Agatha. Austin stared at her with irritation. Agatha frowned at him. "You really have a way of knocking, don't you?" asked Agatha. A
“Meaning you and I will be in there,” Austin pointed to the bed. “consummating our marriage. Assuring our mating is bonded.” Austin whispers in her ears. "Everyone will watch as I take you." Agatha didn’t like what he was saying to her. She knows her father. Her father is short tempered and would probably do either one of those. Since her father wants to get rid of her, he probably forced them to mate so he can get rid of her. And that is something she doesn't want to do. Having a mate who’s going to cheat on her is a much more painful death than death itself. She doesn’t want someone who is unfaithful to her. Especially him, who is planning to bed someone else to break their bond. She refused to be with a man whose mind is always thinking about another woman. Alpha or no alpha she wouldn’t want any man like him. Being alone for so long she is fine with it. She would rather live a life alone than with someone else who would betray her. Someone who doesn't care or love her. Who thi
Knock. Knock. Austin’s face lit up as he thought it was Agatha. He rushed to the door and opened it but it wasn't. It was a maid. "Your highness, the carriage is ready," said a maid."The carriage?""Yes. Your carriage that you requested two days ago.""Oh.""Would you like for me to come get you ready?""No.""Very well." The maid bowed and left."King Austin," said Grump."What is it?" "Are you ready?""Yeah." Austin tied his hair up and put it into a bun. "Let's get going. We been far away for far too long.""Yes my king." Grump looked around and didn’t see the king’s mate. He asked, "Where is Princess Agatha?" "What do you mean?""She’s not in the room with you?"Austin frowns. He hadn't seen her all morning, so he wasn't sure where she was. Could it be that she went walking and got into trouble. She's been locked up for so long that maybe she doesn't know what’s good or bad. She probably can’t even tell whose good or bad either. He panicked and said, "Let's go.""Where?" asked
PLEASE READ THIS CHAPTER WITH CAUTION! It was nearly afternoon when her carriage came to a stop."What's going on?" she thought."Stop your carriage," said a man's voice."What do you want?" asked May."We want what's inside that carriage.""So, we went different paths because he was planning on killing me," said Agatha. "You dare touch our lady," said May. "I will chomp off your b*lls.""Oh. But we want her, and all your money," said the man."How dare you try to steal and robbed us."The man laughed loudly. "Kill them all."There was screams and footsteps running around her."He never planned on sending me away. He planned on murdering me. He sent me on my own so they could assassinate me. He didn't want to be involved in killing me, so he sent me away, so he won’t be caught or involved. How clever of him," she thought.Soon silence fell upon her. She could no longer hear the echoing screams of pain and agony. She heard laughter of the assassins."Let's get her," said a squeaky ma
Agatha sighed as the ghost disappeared. She looked up into the night sky and thought, “Where is my home?” "Your highness," said Grump."What is it?" asked Austin."I feel a distress from May.""What?""It seems they got into an ambushed.""Show me!"Grump played the visions of what was last seen by May.Austin was enraged as he heard the men trying to take advantage of his wife. He saw the leader rubbing his hands as he was excited about Agatha. His eyes widened and he panic, "Get to her quickly!" he shouted."Yes, your majesty."When Austin got there, he saw Agatha in her wolf form. “Oh, thank goodness we got here just in time,” whispered Austin. “They haven’t done anything to her.” “Yes. You’re correct,” said Grump.Austin looked at Agatha. She was pure white, her fur was thick and fluffy, and she had two tails. "What?" he questioned. He frowned as he had never seen any wolf with more than one tail. Her blue eyes was glowing beautifully. He gasped as he had never seen anyone like
Austin thought he tested her and asked, "There's so many dead bodies yet you're not afraid of them, Princess Agatha." "I have seen plenty of horrendous death in the palace. What more is these dead bodies to the horror of bodies in the palace?" Austin frowned. He had forgotten that she was locked in a cell. She must have seen and heard many screams and screeches of horror down in the prisoner's cell. He clenches his fist tightly that for such a lovely princess like her to be held in prison due to her father's hatred was totally mistreated. "Your majesty, everyone is dead." "Everyone?" "Yes." "Even May?" "Yes. It looks like they tried to r*pe her but couldn't, so they killed her too." "How do you know that." "Her clothes is torn, but nothing is done to her. It seems…" "What?" "It seems she put up quite a bit of a fight. Because of her resistance, they penetrated the sword to deep and it killed her before they could touch her." Agatha let out a sigh and walked away from them.
...."I wonder, how long you’re going to ignore me?" he whispers. When they got to his kingdom his pack welcomed them.“Odd,” thought Agatha. “I didn’t think he would actually present me to his pack.”Austin stared at her and said, “What? Were you expecting me to leave you in the dark?”Agatha frowned at him. “Of course, that’s what I expected. For you hated me that you even set up my assassination,” she thought.Austin sensing that Agatha have been quiet since the incident. She wasn't aruging back like she usual does. She wasn't even talking to him. Something about her frigidity is making him uneasy. It's as if he didn't like this distance she's pulling on him. “What’s wrong?” asked Austin. He lifted his hand to her face trying to sooth her eyebrows.Agatha flinched away from him and said, “Nothing.”Austin was angry at her sudden withdrawal. "How dare she not want to be close to me," he thought. "Even if my clan is not as big or strong as her father, even if my domain isn't as grand
