“Mrs Liliana, you are four months pregnant. Congratulations,” the doctor said, making Liliana’s eyes widened. 

This must be a joke. There is no way she was pregnant. Not with all the health implications she is suffering from and how impossible for her kind to carry a pup— she is just a wolfless Omega. 

“Doctor, are you sure this isn't a fibroid or one of the hormonal issues?” Liliana finally asked, trying not to get excited just yet. After all this isn't the first time she was going to be misdiagnosed as being pregnant. 

“Mrs Liliana, I thought it was like the others,” the doctor paused, staring into Liliana's ice blue eyes. “I even have to reexamine you thrice to confirm if this isn't like the others,” she paused again. 

“But it isn't. You are indeed pregnant,” the doctor added with precision laced in her voice. “I don't know how it happened, but all I can say is this is a miracle.”

Stretching the test result to Liliana, she continued. “Please be careful. Make sure not to stress yourself and also come for a checkup regularly.”

“Thank you so much doctor,” Liliana said with a bright smile before she took the result slip from her. 

Without hesitating, she slid it into her bag before hurrying out. 

She hoarded a cab down home, every part of her wishing she could just fly home. Or even meet her husband— hopefully today won't be another long day of his in the company. 

She just can't wait to let Prince Martin know she is finally pregnant. They would be having a pup of their own. All the rumors about her being a barren Omega and an empty barrel would…

Liliana snapped out of her thoughts the moment the driver stopped in front of her mansion. She swiftly pulled out a few cash, handed it over to him before heading inside the house.

“Liliana?” Prince Martin's voice echoed softly the moment she walked in. 

Liliana, who had her gaze fixed on the heavily pregnant lady who sat down with one of her legs on the other couch, snapped out of it. 

Pretending not to notice the lady, she walked down to Prince Martin. “I am pregnant.”

As if that wasn't loud and clear enough, Liliana added, “See, honey, I am four months pregnant. The doctor—”

“Babe, did you not assure me our sons won't have stebsibling?” 

The question came as a joke to Liliana for a second, until her gaze flashed down to the heavy belly bump. 

“I didn't know this would happen cause I have always thought she is barren,” those words from the same man that Liliana thought loved her wholly, left her shattered, everything finally coming together. 

The woman sitting right there is Prince Martin's mistress. So he has been cheating on her!?

“What—”

“Sarah, it is not too late. I will make sure to keep my promise,” Prince Martin said before turning to face Liliana. “I am sorry Lil. I need her pups to get the throne and I really love her.”

His words made hot tears roll down Liliana's cheeks. Even though all of this was like a nightmare to Liliana, nothing hurt her more than the fact that the man she got married to is trying…

“Liliana, we would have to remove the pup. I don't want a pup from you,” Prince Martin continued. “What if you give birth to a girl and she turns out to be a fat and useless Omega—”

“Like me right? So that is what I ever was to you?” Liliana asked, tears streaming down her face. 

It was as if every part of her was crumbling. 

Someone needs to wake her up and tell her this was a nightmare. Cause where is the man who used to tell her how amazing she was? How he loves her curves? How she meant the world to him? How he would choose her again even if she had no dime to her name?

“Please…”

Unable to stand the sight of Prince Martin or give him the chance to continue, she turned to leave. 

But before she could walk out of the living room, Prince Martin grabbed her hand tightly. “Where are you going? We have to go and have the baby removed.”

Without thinking twice or bothering to make Prince Martin change his mind, she bit him so hard and deep until his grip loosened around her.

“Your majesty, she is gone.”

Alpha King Dablo had heard those three words several times but nothing hit this hard and deep. For years now, he has tried. Did everything but it just doesn't make any sense that this is repeating itself. 

“What is the cause? Is it from what I did to her last cursed night?” He asked, his voice deep as he roughled his ice colored dreadlocks. 

His Beta only nodded to his words, almost like those words were too heavy. He can't bring himself to inform Alpha King Dablo that he is the reason he lost his wife for the third time again. Except for this time, his unborn pup died alongside. 

“Are any of them alive?” 

This time, Alpha Dablo’s thundered, loud enough to force the words out of his Beta's mouth. 

“No… none of them survived.”

“Fuck!” Alpha Dablo yelled, hitting the table hard. 

Without thinking twice, he left for the priestess, anger brewing in him. 

“When will all of this stop, priestess Ize? When? When will I stop being a murderer! A monster!” 

For the first time, Alpha Dablo's voice was shaky and laced with sadness. 

He is really tired of this— every ritual has been done. Every precaution has been taken. Everything just to make sure he doesn't hurt this one. He thought he was finally going to do it right. 

“I am sorry for your lost—”

“I don't want an apology, Ize! I want an answer! I want this to stop! Don't you get it?”
