With her heart pounding fast in her chest and the doctor's warning echoing in her head, Liliana ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
Every second she turned to check if Prince Martin had given up on whatever his intention was, she only realised how fast he was. How he was closing in on her.
Even though she was tired, she didn't stop. She kept running, every part of her desperately wishing she could fly.
“Liliana, would you just stop? Not as if this pup would make you any better than Sarah!”
More tears ran down Liliana's cheeks as Prince Martin's words hit her hard like a punch to the guts. Those words coming from the same man meant to be the father of her pup. Her husband. Her mate.
“We can always make another one together after I become the Alpha—”
“Did…”
Before Liliana could complete her words, she stumbled, hitting the ground hard like a bag of grain.
She tried to stand up and continue walking but she couldn't. Her head was spinning in circles, her body felt numb as her vision slowly turned blurry.
The last thing she could feel was Prince Martin's touch before the world suddenly went blank in her head.

“You are awake,” a nurse who was checking the drip fixed on Liliana, said calmly. “I would go get the doctor—”
“My pup… my pup…. Tell me my pup is alright. Tell me I am still pregnant!” Liliana screamed the moment she realized what happened.
Prince Martin's intention and how she fell before she had the chance to escape. And save the blessing she never imagined having in a lifetime.
“I am sorry, ma. I am not allowed to tell you this but,” the nurse paused, briefly glancing at the door to see if anyone was coming before dropping her voice to a whisper. “You were brought to the hospital with serious internal injury. Though your pregnancy was fine.”
“Was?” the single word tore out of Liliana’s lip painfully.
“You were operated on…”
Without waiting for the nurse to complete her statement, Liliana lowered her gaze to her stomach. The stitches on her stomach confirmed the nurse wasn't lying.
Her husband indeed had their pup aborted. The one thing she spent five years looking for. The one thing she had to endure mockery for— for being barren.
“Sarah, you don't have to bother again. Just concentrate on bringing my sons to this world,” Prince Martin's words made Liliana's legs weakened, reality hitting her more like a volcano. Swallowing her wholesomely.
It is still fresh in her head like yesterday. The oath they exchanged, his mark on her and how much he assured to choose her over anything.
“That is why I love you. I know you won't make the wrong…”
“Martin!” Liliana yelled out with a shaky voice. “After everything… this… this is the way you decided to pay me back, uh?”
“Liliana, what did you do for him that other women have not done for their men? Shouldn't you even be ashamed of yourself,” Sarah replied before Prince Martin could. “You should be excited that the Alpha's heir dimmed you fit to be his wife. Wait, if not for your father's wealth, would he have looked your way?”
“Look at yourself, if you were a man, would you choose a woman like yourself? Fat for nothing. A worthless Omega who has no wolf!”
Those words were like dagger, ripping Liliana's heart apart, doubling the pain overwhelming her.
“Mar—”
“We are going to get a divorce,” Prince Martin's voice, which was now as cold as ice, vibrated in her ears. “You don't have to bother…”
Liliana didn't wait for Prince Martin to finish up his words. She closed the gaps between them and without thinking, she landed a responding slap across his face.
“Did—”
“Sarah, you don't have to pay attention to this. Remember the doctor said nothing, absolutely nothing should stress you if you want our sons to be in good health,” Martin cut Sarah off before he returned his gaze to Liliana. “Liliana, this is where it ends for us.”
“I swear, Martin, I would make you pay for this. Even if I have to swim in fire I would do everything to—”
“I, Martin Xavier Moonclaw, rejects you as his wife and mate,” Martin interrupted her before she could complete the words etched in her mind.
Without looking Liliana's way, Prince Martin turned and walked away.
While Liliana on the other hand, clenched her chest tight, gasping for air. It was as if those few words Prince Martin said to her was a dagger, ripping her apart.
Before she could take a step forward, she fell weakly to the ground, her head hurting her badly like it was going to crack any second as a fresh wave of pain tore through every part of her.
She had heard tales of the pain rejection caused, but never in her wildest imagination had she imagined this pain to be this intense… like it was going to take her life.
“Miss… Miss…”
— Just a substitute.007“Your majesty, I already set up everything you want,” Beta Thorne informed, his gaze lowered. Even though thoughts were running wildly in his mind, every part of him wondering who she was going to be this time. Usually, Alpha Dablo always informed him and the others who his next Luna would be but it was different this time. He was woken up with Alpha Dablo's call instructing him to set up something rare. A diamond crafted dress for a plus-size female. Gold and Diamond jewelries. The most luxurious shoes in the kingdom….“What else do you want me to do, your majesty?” He asked after noticing the silent and glare from Alpha Dablo. “I want you to run a background check on… damn it. I did not even bother asking for her name,” Dablo replied, hitting the table hard enough for it to crack. Before he could try describing the striking beauty that never left his mind even though they only met briefly in a dimly lit corner of that event hall, the said lady walked in.
—And all negotiations come with a price. 006“Alpha Dablo, you are going to have me in return,” Liliana's voice echoed before Alpha King Dablo could walk out on her. Dablo turned to look at her, trying to make sense out of what she just said. Even though the lady sitting in front of him is nothing but an Omega, he is very sure even a runt won't pull out this joke. Not when she knows what she is offering means death wish!“If It is not enough, I would offer you my life,” Liliana added, her voice laced with sincerity. “I don't…” Dablo's voice trailed off the moment he recalled his Beta's words. They will be having a pack meeting tomorrow and he definitely knows the elders won't hesitate to talk him into picking another Luna which he is done with. Not after how he lost his last Luna. “You would offer me your life? Interesting,” Dablo muttered with a titled lip. After sitting down, he asked, “Who do you want to ruin and how do you want them to be ruined?”Liliana's face brightened
—who could possibly be more audacious than a woman who had lost everything?005“Ana, are you sure about this?” Agatha's voice echoed worriedly, making Liliana take off her hand from the last string of the dress. At first Agatha thought Liliana was joking, not until she messed it up by revealing where Alpha King Dablo would be tonight. And here is Liliana all dressed up like a doll, meaning all seriousness to attend the exclusive event even after all the warning Agatha gave. “How do I look? Can I seduce a man with this appearance or be called a fat…—”“You look hot. Even as a woman, I am dying to touch those boobs,” Agatha interrupted Liliana whose facial expression was about to change. “I doubt if men won't be drooling around you before you—”“Thank you for your cards,” Liliana interrupted Agatha before she could over exaggerate. She knows this is just one of Agatha's cheerups. But then, she didn't wait for Agatha to follow her out cause she definitely won't have it with her. Not
—What could possibly hurt than betrayal?004“Mommy, Daddy, when are we going to go to the Blueland? Our friends have talked a lot about it.”“Yes, Daddy. I and Carl wants to go to the Blueland even if it is just once before the school resume again.”“Don’t worry boys, I promise you, soon…”Liliana did not wait to listen to the rest of their conversation before turning away, tears pouring down heavily. That smile, what was happening in there, it was supposed to be her with her pup. If her pup wasn't taken away from her, she would have been around the same age with the two boys. ‘My promise still stands, Martin,’ she muttered inwardly as the most painful moment of her life flashed in her head again. She boarded a cab back to the hospital, hoping Agatha won't be in the hospital yet. She knew how much of a nag Agatha could be. The moment she got down from the cab, she hurried to her ward, making sure her sunglass sit perfectly on the bridge of her nose. “Ana, where did you went to—”
—Maybe the world has moved on.003Liliana slowly opened her eyes, feeling strange with a weird sense of heaviness overwhelming her. “Ana, you… Doctor… She is awake,” a familiar voice echoed, sounding like Liliana had just returned from the land of the dead. She remained still until the lady who just walked out returned with a young man dressed in a white coat. “Wow. I still can't believe she woke up after the test we conducted on her today,” the doctor said before he began to take off the oxygen and machine fixed on Liliana. He raised two fingers close to Liliana's face before asking, “How many fingers are this?”“Two…”“What about this?”“Four.”The doctor smiled faintly before turning to face the young lady who Liliana now remembers. It is her childhood friend, Agatha. “Miss Agatha, I would run a few tests on your friend and have the nurse get back to you on when she would be discharged,” the doctor said before walking out. “Agatha, my baby…. My—”“Liliana, I am sorry I came
