The Cursed Alpha and The Rejected Half-breed.

Alpha Max couldn't keep his eyes off Rosana during the banquet, the way she swayed her hips as she moved from table to table serving the guests drew him in, he wanted her and so did his wolf.

“This banquet is in honor of your tenth anniversary as Alpha, Max, why are you so distracted?” Luna Anna whispered gently to him, a smile playing on her lips as her eyes traced Max's gaze to see what was distracting him.

Alpha Max cleared his throat and shifted his gaze from Rosana to meet Luna Anna's eyes, flashing her a smile. "I'm not distracted, my love. I'm simply making sure all of our guests are looked after," he reassured her.

Luna Anna smiled with one corner of her lips, she knew Alpha Max was lying, his eyes were on Rosana, his fated mate whom he had rejected.

“The guests are well taken care of Alpha, you don't need to worry yourself,” she said, giving him a gentle pat on the shoulder, a subtle warning for him to behave himself.

Alpha Max understood what Anna was saying though she spoke no words, he knew her enough to know she was warning him to behave himself.

“The pianist plays so well,” he said, commending the pianist who was playing at the banquet, trying to change the conversation.

“Yes, I brought him in from the human world, he is quite famous among them,” Luna Anna explained.

“Pour me a drink, Rosana,” Beta Drake called out Rosana from his table right beside Alpha Max and Luna Anna.

“Yes, Beta,” Rosana answered as she moved to his side, pouring him a drink,” 

“Do you want a drink too, my Lord,” Luna Anna asked Alpha Max, tempting him.

“No, I will pass,” Alpha Max said as he shifted uncontrollably in his seat, he could barely control himself whenever Rosana was very close.

“We need to mate her,” he heard Drey, his wolf telling him, he was as impatient as him because he longed for her.

Drey had disapproved of Max choosing Anna and not waiting for their fated mate. Ever since they discovered Rosana was their mate, he desired her.

“My Lord,” Rosana called out to him, bringing him out of his deep thoughts as she added, “Luna Anna ordered me to serve you a drink.”

Alpha Max had been lost in his thoughts and didn't know when Anna had called Rosana, he had said he didn't want a drink so what game was she playing?

“I do not want a drink,” he firmly rejected.

Luna Anna smiled as Rosana bowed and left, she could smell Max's arousal and she knew it wasn't for her, she knew it was a little time before he would give in to his desire and that would allow her to strike.

“I know Drey wants her, Max, you can stop pretending. I'll let you have her so that Drey can satisfy his lust,” Luna said.

“Liar!” Drey called out.

“Anna, I am fine, I chose you, I cannot mate with a low half-breed omega like Rosana, Drey had adjusted and accepted you,” Alpha Max said, sounding as reassuring as he could do.

Luna Anna kept quiet, she knew he was only pretending, Drey would never be okay until Rosana was dead or far away from him.

Luna Anna and Alpha Max enjoyed the rest of the evening, they danced, and everyone toasted to Alpha Max's long reign bringing the party to an end.

“I'll retire to my room now,” Luna Anna said as she yawned.

“Feeling sleepy already,” Alpha Max teased.

“Yes,” Luna Anna replied, placing her hands on his shoulder.

“Goodnight my Luna, thank you for being by my side these past ten years, I would not have been able to achieve all of this without you,” Alpha Max appreciated Anna, placing a kiss on Luna Anna's lip.

“I'll do anything for you, Max,” Luna Anna said, smiling as she played with his hair.

“I have some unfinished business to attend to with Beta Drake, I'll join you in the room later,”

“Tonight?” Luna Anna asked, frowning a bit.

“Yes, yes, just something minor, don't worry, go and sleep, you have put so much effort into planning this banquet so you need to rest,” Alpha Max smiled, kissing her right cheek.

“All right,” Luna Anna agreed, leaving for her room.

Alpha Max sighed as Anna left, he signaled with his hand for Beta Drake to join him.

“I have some unfinished business to do in my study and I do not want to be disturbed,” Alpha Max said.

“Okay, Noted, is there anything you would like?” Beta Drake asked.

“Send Rosana to my study with some wine,” Alpha Max ordered as he turned to leave.

“All right, she will come right away,” Beta Drake said, bowing as Alpha Max left.

Alpha Max couldn't contain himself any longer, his body burning hot with desire for Rosana. Even though Drey seemed to struggle to restrain himself, Alpha Max feared Drey might lose control and try to claim Rosana for himself if he didn't mate with her tonight.
