AESPIA’S POV

I sucked in a breath of air as I shot up, looking around frantically. My heart was beating so hard in my chest, I was sure it would explode at any moment.

I was able to denote three things from my panicked search; one was I was no longer back at the event which made me feel much more relieved.

That feeling didn't last long when I remembered how I was knocked out and packaged to wherever my buyer, the Alpha King wanted me. Thankfully, the drug had worn off so I was able to move at will although a bit sluggishly.

Two, I had been dumped on the cold tiles of a room that looked more like the throne room Enzo had back at the RiverMoon pack. Only this one was larger by a stretch and way more luxurious. Basically, it screamed money and power, one which I expected the Alpha King to have since he didn't bat an eye when he bought me at such a crazy sum.

The fact that I was left here alone didn't put me at ease but instead, it left me drowning in my thoughts. Each thought made me tremble. I had heard a lot about the Alpha King that ruled with an iron fist and killed without batting an eye lid.

What would happen to me next? Would he kill me off?

I immediately shook off that idea as for him to spend such an amount on me, he wouldn't just flush it down the drain by killing me. I couldn't say though as he might not care about such a little sum.

Why did he buy me and what did he want with me? Goddess, I wish Zyon was here. If she was, she would have told me what to do after calming me down.

No. There is no use hoping for comfort for someone who was clearly not around anymore.

With trembling legs, I pushed myself slowly to my feet, my gaze trained on the large double doors that were currently shut.

Instead of waiting here and wondering if I would die, I would try my best to run away. Yes I was terrified out of my mind but I also didn't want to wait around for the unknown.

One foot after another, I approached the door and then once I reached it, I stretched my hand to the doorknob.

The doorknob twisted but I noted much to my horror that I wasn't the one who did that.

I stepped back hastily as the door was pushed open and the man I had now known to be the Alpha king walked in.

His piercing violet eyes stopped on me and he raised a brow, his lips curving into a knowing smirk.

My breath caught in my throat and I immediately stepped back cautiously as I tried by best to shrink into myself out of fear.

His eyes, although they weren't spewing fire, seemed to ooze an aura that made me feel like I was facing a war god that would rip out my heart.

He suddenly chuckled and I blinked at him in confusion. “It's nice to see that you're awake and pp“running”, little white.”

Little white? What was with the nickname? Also, why was he laughing?

“Yes, little white. You look more like a little white cat than a wolf so I'll call you that from now on. Also, you might not realize it but you're quite hilarious. Your little actions of being brave while thinking of escaping only to act like a mice when I walked in. I mean did you think that there was no one on the other side of the door?”

My face immediately burned as I realized that I had just blurted out my inner thoughts and his reply made me feel even more embarrassed especially since he was right.

He suddenly walked past me and towards the large golden throne at the far end of the room. “Come little white, don't just stand there. We have things to discuss.”

I stood frozen, my body unwilling to move and it was when he sat on the throne and raised a brow at me with a bit of impatience that my heart skipped a beat and I rushed forward to stand right in front of him.

There was something about him. Something I didn't understand that was making me unconsciously lower my guard and I didn't like it.

“As I was saying, you're here for only one reason and that is to be my breeder.”

“Huh? Breeder” I couldn't stop myself as my hand dropped from my mouth and I blurted out in shock.

“Yes, Breeder. You know, someone who I sleep with and the person bears my child with no emotional attachment.” He explained to me slowly like he was talking to a dunce.

“I know what a breeder is. What I'm confused about is why?” I didn't even realize that all my fear had disappeared as I was speaking to the Tyrant Alpha King like I would an ordinary person.

He tilted his head like he was deliberating something before he eventually spoke. “Well, because I want you to be.” Such short words were spoke with a matter of fact tone and i just gaped at him.

“That…. I…. But I'm Barren.”

“That’s for me to decide.” That was all he said, cryptic and nonchalant.

“But…” I tried to find another excuse to oppose this very weird abc confusing arrangement but he held up a hand to stop me.

“Enough with all the chatter. I'm not an unreasonable person so you can be rest assured that you would get something you greatly desire.”

“And what does a slave desire more than her own freedom?” He smirked after saying that and I just kept staring at him wondering if I heard right.
