After they were warned by the Alpha King not to treat me however they like and feel.

I was left alone for a while and that was because the Alpha King was always around the house, he goes to meetings very often,and it was not far from the house.

" You should watch where you are going," one of the maids said.

I didn't even get close to her, I was in my lane but she feels she has to act that way towards me.

She was only mad because Cara has not given them a new task, a new way of punishing me and making me miserable.

" You are the one to watch where you are going" I fired back at her.

She scoffed at me before heading out.

I shook my head. They were under Cara, that's why they feel like they can talk to me the way they feel.

I got to the kitchen area, I was hungry and my stomach won't stop reminding me that I had not eaten.

I was trying to stay out of trouble and I stayed in my room, but I was shocked to know that no one came looking for me, no one came asking me if I had had anything to eat.

I was not even terrible to them, even though I was, it will even make them get me my food because they will be dealt with if they don't.

" You want something?" One of the maids said, she smiled at me.

It was filled with kindness, but I was not ready to fall for that. I have been deceived, lied to and betrayed by my maid that was meant to serve me and protect my interest.

" I want some food" I said, keeping a straight face and not returning her a smile.

She stopped smiling and passed me the food.

I sat at the table as I began to eat, she looked so beautiful but I was never going to get friendly with her, no matter what.

She might be one of those secretly with Cara and I can not let misfortune befall me.

I noticed that her eyes were on me and it made my skin crawl.

" Is there anything I can help you with?" I asked her after I could no longer eat comfortablely.

" Not at all, I just want to stay here and watch you" she said, this time around, there was no smile on her face.

She was scaring me and I was not comfortable with it.

Why would she choose to watch me? Of all things to do in the house, she preferred to watch me?

Did Cara tip her to do that?

" Why? I don't want you around me, you make me uncomfortable" I said.

She stood up and left.

It did not take long, Cara walked in. Now I was confused,I do not know if she had walked away because of Cara or because of what I had said to her.

" You come in here and eat whatever you wish to eat, I swear you never had such a perfect meal where you are coming from," she said.

I was never hungry, even though they treated me badly.

" You know it amazes me how this is not your place but you think you have every right to treat people however it pleases you, you should be careful, I might not be so calm next time" I said, slightly upset.

Her mouth hung open, she was shocked that I was able to stand up to her, she was shocked that I returned the same words she would always use on me.

" Did the Alpha King have you already? Has he gone into you already? Because I do not know how you thought you could talk to me that way"

" You must be silly to think that I will let you do anything to me and get away with it" I said sharply.

I was like that sometimes, and the other times? I was calm and fearful.

Cara was pushing me to the wall and I was not all that quiet and obedient.

" Okay then, I guess you are only being this way because he is at home, do not forget that he might not be at home all the table and you will be left at my mercy" she stuck her tongue out at me.

I did not mind that he was not going to be at home most of the time.

He was not going to be available to save me from Cara and from Reynold,but what was important was that I get to save myself the stress by protecting myself and all that concerns me.

" I know about that, and I am not going to be at your mercy,what do you think I am?" I asked her.

She leaned closer.

" You are nothing but a weak girl, you think I do not know about you and what you tried to do with the woman your husband wanted to get married to? I also heard so many things you did, including the poison" she said.

I smiled. It did not hurt. It never did.

" Good thing that you know all of those things. You should be scared of me,you have no idea what I can do to you, don't you think so?" I asked her.

I stood up and left the table. She had her eyes all over me,not even a single word could come out of her mouth again.

She had the interest to go look me up and search for things about me.

She was scared of me and sees me as someone that can take her place.

The only reason I was scared to speak and defend myself in Enzo's pack was because Enzo never had my back, he would never support me.

But Alpha Xyren supports me and has my back, a good thing to ride on. I was going to use it to my advantage.
