When I decided to take a walk around the house, I had not been to most of the parts of the house and that was because I was scared to leave my room and I spent most of my time in Xyren's room.

I took just myself out, I never mentioned it to anyone that I was going to be out.

I walked to the back of the house and it had a great view, the one I have not seen before.

I stood there, looking at it and was feeling a bit cold so I wrapped my hands around my body even though it was never going to do anything.

" You should not catch a cold," I heard someone say.

I turned to see who it was. It was someone I have not seen before. He looked good, like those prevailed few around the Pack.

" I'll be fine," I responded.

He walked closer to me and stood beside me.

" I have been here longer than you have been and you should hear me out when I say that you are going to catch a cold," he said.

His voice was calm and filled with care, but I was never going to get too comfortable with that because of my past experiences.

" Thank you, I only want to stay out longer," I said.

" You are the new Luna, I heard about you and I decided to see who has graced the Pack with her presence" he smiled, revealing his neat dentition.

I was not comfortable with him around me, his behavior appeared so nice but I was skeptical about his eyes.

" Thank you, I have heard a lot about this place"

" I know they are good things. Even though you might have a little problem with the first Luna, you know, with Cara" he said.

I wondered how he knew about it, and how he got to know that we were not flowing so well.

" Who are you?" I asked him, I did not want to take chances.

" I'm Drake, I visit this place often, everyone around here knows me, I keep this place in order as well" he said.

" You must have been here for a long time to know so much about Cara," I said.

" Sure, I have been here for a very long time. She does that to every Luna that has ever come here, she has never been kind to them because she feels threatened by them, but you have to relax and face her" he said.

I nodded my head. He was telling the truth, it was always about Alpha Xyren, she feels I am getting way too close to him and it upset her so much.

" What do you want me to do? How can I stop being in her way?"

" I doubt you are ever going to be in her way, you just have to adjust and find a better way to get her out of your way each time she comes, but I doubt it is ever going to be a permanent solution" he said.

Well, he was right, but why was he concerned about me? It was strange that he cared about me and not on the side of Cara.

" Thank you, I will be careful, Drake," I said.

I still remembered his name. He flashed me a smile.

" The others could not survive here, I want you to know that you can trust me and make sure you come to me whenever she does something terrible to you, do not let her win" he said to me.

His smiles were warm, so it was easy to get me, I loved the way he spoke to me.

" Thank you, I'll keep that in mind and make sure I update you on what's going on" I said.

" You should come to me whenever you are free, there is someone I want you to see, the other Luna's never survived this place, I want you to meet up with him so you can stay here, we are all tired of waiting, we want the Alpha to have a heir" he said.

I got to know that the Alpha was seeking for an heir, he had told me several times that it was the reason he was getting married to me, but I already told him that I was barren and there was not even a chance of that happening.

I thought about my inability to give birth, will I be chased out of here? Or killed? And why was the Alpha so into me even when he was aware that I was barren.

" You said the person is going to help me?" I asked.

Maybe I can get help and he helps me take away my bareness.

" Of course, he can help you fix anything," he said.

It sounded unreal but I was willing to try it out. I did not want to be kicked out of here like the others. Cara is going to be so happy if that happens.

I began to think of the place I would go to if he kicks me out or if he kills me for not getting pregnant for me.

What is going to happen to me if he sells me to others? What if he gives me out to another Alpha. I did not want my life to keep taking such turns.

" I'll let you know when I am ready," I said to him.

" You should be ready as soon as possible. You need to remain here, the women who have been here never lived, they are all dead, you do not want that right?" He looked at me keenly.

" No, I do not want that," I said.

I became scared of my safety but I tried to shake it off with the consolation that I was going to get help soon.

I left him there and went back to the house.

" You should be careful around him," Cara said, looking outside the window.

Then it hit me, she might be aware that he was trying to save me.
