Chapter Five

Aria's Pov

I slowly opened my eyes, my head throbbing with an insane headache.

I struggled to get on my feet but a pool of red thick liquid caught my attention.

No, this was a joke right.

Maybe the blood was from the bruises that were still healing.

I yanked my dress up to see where the blood was coming from.

“No,” I screamed using my hands to gather the blood together.

“Not my pup,” I screamed as tears flowed down my cheeks.

Sophia had managed to take the only good thing that happened to me.

I stood up, my legs shaking terribly as I rushed towards the door, but it was locked.

“I need to get out, the mating ceremony is this night,” I said inwardly.

“My pup is gone but I have a mate,” I whispered to myself rushing back to the small pool of blood on the floor.

“The Alpha seeks your attention,” I heard a low voice followed by a knock.

“My father?” I asked, my voice trembling with fear.

“Yes princess”

“Tell him I will be there in a second,” I said.

“The door is locked, pls can you open it?” I said trying to keep my voice steady not to raise any suspicion.

As soon as I heard the door unlock from outside, I sighed with relief.

“I was going to go see my father and act like nothing happened,” I said inwardly with a sad smile on my face.

“You seek my presence, father,” I said, bowing my head as soon as I entered the pack house.

“You know what lies ahead of you, Aria,” My father said, his voice filled with pain.

“I am fully aware, father,” I said, lifting my eyes, my gaze reaching his.

“I have a mate, father and I don't care if he cursed or not,” I said with a warm smile on my face.

“None of this was meant to happen if I had protected you,” He said with a sad smile.

“I will be okay, father,” I said, giving him a reassuring smile.

“But you will be dead in two days, I can’t afford to lose my only daughter,” He said, his eyes filled with regret.

“Your only daughter,” My stepmother scoffed as she walked towards me.

“You think just a few lashes will reveal what I did to your wolf?” She asked with a pitiful smile on her face.

“Ooh poor Aria, you will never outshine my daughter,” She said, her voice filled with hatred.

“Stop it, Melissa, this is not the perfect time for this,” My father said with a cold and angry voice.

“No you drop the act, Clement and tell her the truth,” My stepmother casted a disgusting look at my father.

“Father, the truth about what,” I muttered.

“It is nothing honey,” My father said, but his eyes said the opposite.

“You are really going to keep that away from her ,Clement?” My stepmother asked

My father bowed his head with regret for not daring to look at my face.

I was beginning to get scared. Why wasn’t he saying anything?.

“He is totally ashamed of what he did,” My stepmother

I turned to look at my father, his head still bowed.

“Aren’t you going to tell her about her mother?”.

“Are you not going to tell her about how you killed her mother?” My stepmother scream echoed through the pack house.

He killed my mother?

He killed her and blamed me for her death?

“Father.......you killed mom," I stammered my voice gripping with disbelieve.

"Ooh she finally knows," Sophia chuckled.

What is really going on?

Where is my FATHER??
