Aria Pov

“Answer the question, you prostitute!” My stepmother’s angry voice cut through my thoughts.

I opened my mouth to speak but not a single word came out of it.

“Aria,” I heard my father’s cold voice.

“Who is the father of that pup you are carrying?”.

“Have you gone suddenly mute? Who owns the bastard pup you are carrying?” My father spat, his eyes scanning my figure.

I couldn’t figure out what word to say. My wolf was crippled and nobody wanted a mate like me.

“I swear, father, there is no pup,” I muttered, my hands trembling with fear.

“Can you hear yourself you this cursed child,” My step mother raised her voice. Her smirk widened as she stepped closer to him, her voice suddenly filled with mockery.

“Then explain this!” She said as she threw the positive pregnancy test right in my face.

“Why is it positive, Aria, when you claim that there is no pup ?” My father said with a stern voice.

“I can’t be pregnant Dad, I have no mate remember,” I tried explaining to him.

“Because you have no mate you rejected little witch, all you do is sleep around in this pack,” My step mother said her voice filled with mockery.

“She is just like her mother, The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree they say,” She sneered.

“Watch your mouth Melissa, she is my daughter,” My father raised his voice defending me.

Now he claims to be my father after he openly rejected me as his daughter on my eighteenth birthday.

“Am sorry Alpha,” My stepmother apologised, faking a huge smile.

This was what she had always wanted.

Always.

“I guess torturing this damaged beast will make her speak” My step mother convinced my dad.

“I have warned you Melissa, she has a name,” My Dad’s cold voice sneered, sending a cold shiver down my spine.

“Leave!” He ordered with a voice filled with authority.

“I am just raising an option Alpha” My stepmother said, bowing her head in humiliation.

“I said leave us alone Melissa”.

My stepmother hurriedly took her leave.

“Aria,” My father called out my name softly.

This was the first time since my mother’s death he had called my name in such a manner.

I fought to hold back the tears that welled up my eyes.

“Who is the owner of the pup you are carrying?” He asked calmly, his voice no longer cold.

“I swear by the Moon Goddess, I have no mate nor a pup to call my own,” I defended myself even as the pregnancy test read positive.

“Do we conduct another pregnancy test for you, Aria?" My father asked, his eyes softened as he looked at me with pity.

“Yes, father,”I replied quickly, my voice filled with joy.

“Organise the test for her,” My father commanded on one of the female gammas.

“If the test comes out positive, then you will be punished until you speak the truth” My father said, giving me a reassuring look.

I followed the female gamma, my heart beating like a war drum. If the test came out positive, I was doomed.

I was going to prove to him that my stepmother fabricated the test.

Soon we got to the hospital.

“Alpha Clement sent us,” The gamma said with a commanding tone to the pack doctor as he ushered us inside.

“I will wait here,” She said, not sparing a glance at me.

“This way,” The doctor said, giving me a warm smile.

I followed him, my mind filled with different thoughts.

What if I was truly pregnant with a pup?

Who was the father?

Who wants to be mates with a shunned wolf like mine?

“You are two weeks pregnant princess,” The pack doctor said smiling, not realising the disaster i was in.

“There must be a mix up somewhere, Sir,” I said, returning the smile to him.

“The test says you are having a two-week pup,” He said, showing the test result to my face.

Then it dawned on me.

I was really pregnant.

My stepmother's suspicions were true.

I was carrying a two-week pup with no father.

No mate to call my own.

“Please, I need the pup out before my father finds out,” I fell on my knees, pleading with the doctor.

“I am afraid, the Alpha has already been informed,” He said, giving me a reassuring smile.

“Ple..ase…” I cried.

But there was nothing that could be done,my Father was already aware of it.

“He is already on his way,” He said before walking out of his office.

I ran towards the door looking for an escape route, but it was too late.

The doctor had locked it from outside.

“Plea……se,” I cried but no one responded.

“Where is that cursed creature?”

I heard my stepmother's angry voice. My father must be here to punish me just as he had promised to.

“Open the door,” I heard my father's cold, commanding voice.

Buried in shame I prayed for the ground to swallow me just as the door burst open, revealing my father’s angry face.

Then, there was silence.

“Torture her till she speaks the truth,” My father commanded the gammas casting a disgusting look at me.

“You have to believe me father,” I pleaded but My stepmother cut me off.

“Whip her until she confesses the truth about that bastard pup in her stomach!”.

I was dragged out of the pack hospital not as a princess but as a criminal.

“Strip her naked!” My step mother commanded.

Soon the clothes covering my body were yanked forcefully.

My body was on display for the whole pack to see.

“Make sure she counts every one lash until she speaks the truth,” She ordered the guard, her voice filled with fury.

“Please,” I sobbed

I looked around my surroundings, I was in front of the pack— Naked, for whoever wanted to feed their eyes.

“Let me help us,” I heard my wolf–Carissa muttered weakly.

This is the first time I heard her talk. She wanted to save us but she was weak.

“You can't, you are weak,” I replied trying to shut her out, but she insisted.

The last time I let my wolf take over I was humiliated in the presence of the whole pack.

“Okay,” I said, letting my wolf take control over me.

I shut my eyes as my body twisted, my bones broke and reshaped.

I felt my skin tearing and stretching.

I opened my eyes, only to find everyone looking at me surprisingly.

Staring directly at me.

Like they had seen something—something monstrous ,something terrifying.
