CHAPTER 22— DON'T HATE HIM

“Come on...it’s time to return.”

Kiara pouted at the stony path they took on their way to the market and then at the bracelet around her wrist. “Why?”

“Because Zique said so like an hour ago.”

“But I—”

“It doesn’t matter, we can come back another time.”

“And what if he says no?”

“He won’t, come on.”

“Bu—”

“Kiara...” Gabe groaned. “You can be annoyingly ‘annoying’ at times.”

“I know.” Kiara responded sadly. “You’ve told me so many times since we’ve been here.”

“Then at least shut up for once.”

“I-I’m sorry.”

Gabe groaned again, looking over at her as she took tiny and hesitant steps forward. “You’re pouting again, I’m starting to think you do it in order to look pitiful. If so, you’ve succeeded...you look like a f*cking lost puppy.”

“B-But I’m a wolf.”

“I know you’re a wolf, but aren’t puppies more adorable?”

“I-I don’t know.”

“You’re so dense, anyway, walk faster the alpha’s getting anxious...he’s cursing me out and threatened that if he doesn’t see us back in a minute.
