Alaric parked his car in front of a huge cottage nestled in the woods of Citervile. It was a dense forest about a hundred miles from the city.
He had driven all night to reach the cottage as soon as possible. A yawn escaped his mouth as he stretched his arms and got out of the car.
He drew in a deep breath as the cool wind slapped against his face. His wolf was purring with excitement. It was almost two years since he came here.
*I am so glad that we are here. Please tell me that we will stay at least for a few weeks.* Liken said jumping up and down.
*You will find out soon.* Alari
“It is such a pleasure to see you Mrs. Trotswood. Please come in…” Sienna said in a sweet voice. Rather than replying she just stretched her right hand.“Ummm… madam…. I…” Sienna stuttered, trying to think of a way to convince her. Mrs. Trotswood gave her a dirty look and dragged her out of the room. Then she shut the door with a bang and locked it up. Tears streamed down Sienna’s face as she begged, “Please give me some more time… I promise I will pay the rent…”
An intense rosy fragrance assaulted Alaric as he neared the storeroom. It was as if he had neared a garden where roses were blooming in full spring. He halted in his steps and took in a deep breath. A sweet smile spread on his lips and he closed his eyes, pretty much enjoying the moment. Liken was swooning at the smell. Warning bells went off inside Alaric’s brain but he couldn’t do anything about it. He walked inside the room hypnotized by the fragrance. It was as if his legs had a mind of their own. It was then he saw her for the first time. She was sitting on the chair. So, he could only see her side profile. Though h
The glass door of the AE's office swung open and everyone’s eyes flitted to the door. They were stunned to see a tall, handsome man dressed in an expensive suit enter the office with authority. They were even more stunned when he looked at his watch and said, “Why are you all still here? Isn’t it time to wrap up?”They were flustered but they soon filed out of the office in twos and threes. Their mind was plagued with millions of questions but they didn’t dare to ask any questions. They didn't want to displease him as he looked like someone powerful.
Alaric ran as fast as his legs could carry. He wished that the wind and the noise of the vehicles would drown the chaos of his mind but unfortunately, it did nothing. People watched him awkwardly as he zipped through the streets, bumping into people. At a crossing, He almost got hit by a car. Had it not come to a halt at the right moment, he would have been dead meat. “Are you mad? Do you want to die?” The disgruntled driver shouted, putting his head out of the window. Tearing his hair, he muttered,
The next morning Sienna woke up from her sleep to the sound of birds twittering outside the window. She didn’t open her eyes waiting for the alarm to ring. She turned to the other side causing her to fall with a thud on the floor. “What a way to start a morning!” She grumbled, unwilling to open her eyes yet. Did she have to fall in the morning? F***! How could she fall? She slept on the floor at home. She gasped as her eyes snapped open. She pulled the comforter around her as she looked around in panic. Memories flooded her mind…
Ruby heaved a sigh of relief when her phone lit up with instructions. It was suffocating to see Sienna cry like this. She was no saint but seeing someone cry like this could move the heart of a stone. She kneeled before Sienna and gathered her into a hug. She held her as she cried, rubbing her back. “It is okay, Sienna. Everything will be alright.”“How, Ruby? How? I have lost my home and I don’t have anywhere to go… moreover that heartless woman burned all my belongings too. I am
Alaric was seated on a plush leather couch in his room. The screen in front of him displayed the live CCTV streaming of his office. He tapped his knuckles on the handrest as he gazed at the screen. “Waiting for your mate to enter the office…” Aunt Sue asked as she walked in with a tray of coffee and breakfast. “Hmmm…. How did you know?”Aunt Sue chuckled as she placed the tray on the table in front of him. “Anyone can tell that with the way you are looking at the scree
“Alaric! Come quickly. It seems like your mate is in a problem.”Aunt Sue’s shrill voice struck Alaric like a bolt of lightning. He threw a shirt around his shoulders and trotted down the stairs buttoning it. A growl escaped his throat as his eyes fell on Jamie. Punching his palm, he exclaimed, “F***! I had forgotten all about this moron. When did he get discharged from the hospital?”His blood boiled as he saw Sienna’s scared expression. He tapped his feet as he turned on the
