Boone’s POV

“So?” Stephanie leaned close to me and gave me a teasing smile. I looked at her with confusion and just shrugged her off. Her smile turned frowning when I disregarded her query. She bumped me with her shoulder that slightly pushed me over. “Isn’t he the guy that you’ve been talking about?”

“Hmn.” My way of saying ‘yes’.

“Oh my god. You’re acting shy right now.” She pointed out.

My hands were fast to cover her lips. She was too loud. That even the guards at the main gate could hear her blabbering.

“That’s nonsense.” I replied. Letting her go. “Can you tone down your voice? I don’t want him to feel uncomfortable.”

Her lips puckered. She went silent for a few seconds. As if she’s thinking of something that I couldn’t decipher. SHe crossed her arms, lying back on her seats. Almost slouching. “You know what for someone who’s smart, you’re quite stupid and blind.”

My jaw dropped at her utterance. If only she’s not someone I consider as a friend, I probably have said mean things
