Jules POV

“Ouch,” I groaned, blinking my eyes rapidly. The rays of the sun hit my face sharply forcing me to close them back immediately.

“Huh, where am I?” I muttered, my eyes darting back and forth as I scanned the room.

I was still half naked, lying on the floor with my clothes scattered around me.

“What happened?” I wondered, closing my eyes faintly, memories reeling in one by one.

“The herbs,” I whispered. “It must have knocked me out?”

“So, you lied to me?” Lucian's voice echoed in my hea

Jules POVThe evening was bright with laughter and warm light from the candles. The table was filled with roasted meat, fresh bread, and glasses of sweet red wine. Lucian, Aegon, Elena, and I sat around it, celebrating their engagement. Elena’s face glowed with happiness as Aegon held her hand tightly, and I couldn’t stop smiling at the sight of them. “I’m so happy for you, brother,” Lucian said, raising his glass. “Marriage duties soon, and then you’ll forget you’re the Beta of this pack.” Aegon grinned. “Just like you’ve forgotten your role as Alpha since you got married, leaving all the work to me.”Everyone laughed. The sound filled the room, soft and easy. For the first time in a long while, everything felt perfect..peaceful, almost too perfect. But then I felt it. A sudden twist deep in my stomach. At first, I thought it was nothing, but the sharp taste of bile rose up my throat so fast I barely had time to breathe.I pushed back my chair and ran out, holding my mouth. I barel

Jules POV“And the submissive crap?” I asked, crossing my arms and watching him closely. Lucian’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Oh that? Fuck that,” he said with a low growl that almost made me laugh. “I’ll do anything for you, Jules. When we get back, I’m abolishing that law, and no one can stop me.” His tone was sharp, confident, full of that Alpha fire I once fell in love with.I couldn’t help it…I smiled and threw my arms around him. The moment I felt his warmth, my chest ached. I had missed him so much. “I’ve missed you, Lucian,” I whispered, my voice shaking as tears filled my eyes.He pressed his lips against my hair. “I’ve missed you too, Jules,” he murmured. Then he lifted my chin, and before I could say another word, his mouth met mine. The kiss was deep and desperate, full of everything we hadn’t said for weeks. His hands pulled me closer, his breath warm against my lips, and my fingers tangled in his hair. The world outside didn’t matter; it felt like time had stopped

  • The Cursed King’s Captive: A Mate In Disguise   Chapter 98

Jules POVThis was too much to bear. My whole body felt heavy, and my chest burned with pain. My childhood had been a lie, every memory twisted by secrets no one cared to tell me. I covered my face with my hands, but the tears still slipped through.“Why are you telling me all this?” I sobbed, my voice breaking. Queen Nyx stood tall in front of me, her crown catching the golden light from the chandeliers. Her face stayed calm, too calm, like my pain didn’t mean a thing. “Because you deserve to know,” she said. “And because the Moon Goddess brought you here for a reason.”Her tone was cold, and that made me cry even harder. “You need to go back to the Ironhowl pack,” she said after a moment. “You can stay here for as long as you want, but you must return eventually. Staying here weakens Lucian.”I shook my head, wiping my tears. “I’m not going back. Lucian doesn’t want me, and they’ll kill me if I return.” She turned to face me slowly, her gaze sharp.“You’re still scared of them with

Jules POVMy eyes fluttered open, and the ceiling above me looked strange…smooth and carved with gold edges. I blinked a few times, trying to remember where I was, but nothing looked familiar. My body felt weak, like I had been asleep for days.“Oh, she’s awake, Luna,” a soft voice said from somewhere nearby. I turned my head slowly and saw a woman standing a few feet away from me. She wore a crown that glimmered even in the dim light, and her long dark hair flowed down her back in waves streaked with silver. Her eyes were calm, like they saw everything. She looked to be in her late forties, yet there was something powerful about her beauty. “Hi, dear. How are you feeling?” she asked with a warm smile that somehow made me feel even more uneasy.I didn’t answer right away. My eyes darted around the room. Every corner shone with gold…curtains, vases, even the legs of the furniture. The air smelled of roses and burning candles. It was the most beautiful room I had ever seen, but it did

Jules POVLucian walked off the stage without looking back. His steps were fast and heavy, and before I could think, I ran after him. My heart was pounding so loud I could barely hear the crowd shouting behind me. “Lucian! Wait!” I called out, but he didn’t stop. The guards blocked my way as we got close to the pack house. “You can’t follow the Alpha now,” one of them said.“Who gave you the right to tell me what to do?” I snapped, my voice shaking with anger. I stepped close to him, and he dropped his gaze. “Don’t ever talk to me again unless you want to beg for your life,” I warned. He stepped aside quickly, and I rushed into the pack house. Lucian was standing in the middle of the living room, his back turned to me. His shoulders were tense, and I could feel the anger rolling off him.“Lucian, can we talk?” I said softly, stepping closer. He turned around, and the look in his eyes made my stomach twist. His jaw was tight, his lips pressed together. “Why didn’t you tell me, Jules?

  • The Cursed King’s Captive: A Mate In Disguise   Chapter 95

Jules POVI woke up with a heavy heart that morning. All I could feel was sadness and confusion. I hadn’t seen Lucian since yesterday, and I needed to talk to him about the book and those horrible rules. But the pack had traditions, and one of them was that the bride and groom couldn’t see each other the night before the mating ceremony. My stomach was tight, my mind restless. I sat there, staring at my hands until the door opened and people flooded into the room…makeup artists, hairstylists, and maids carrying dresses and jewelry. Everyone was smiling and chattering, but I felt empty inside.“Congratulations, Luna,” one of them said with excitement as she placed the white and gold dress on the bed. “Today’s your big day.”I forced a smile. “Yeah… I know.”They worked on me for hours…styling my hair, brushing shimmer across my cheeks, tightening the lace of my dress. I barely looked at myself in the mirror. My thoughts kept drifting to Lucian. Did he really not read those rules? Di
