Valen
The room was pitch dark with the single candle being the only light illuminating the room. An unusual sound was rising in the room which was coming from the maid kneeling on the carpet. “I’m sorry master. I didn't intend to kill you!” She exclaimed in her cries. My eyes were fixated on her as she went on pleading which are nothing to me. She made a mistake and she's going to pay for that. With her life. I don't give second chance. If you try to misbehave, I discard you.“Take her away” I said. And the three men appeared from the dark and grabbed her.“Master! Forgive me please!”“Master!” her voice echo all over the room. I wasn't a least bit moved and I have no intention to. Her voice was no longer in sight when they closed the door. I reached for the lamp and press the button. The room lighten up with dim blue right. I pour in the remaining beer that was left out from the bottle and gulped it down.A knock sounded from the door. “Come in” I commanded my voice coming out hoarse. The person from the other end made his presence known as he enters.“Master we have news” My personal guard commenced passing me a while envelop.“What is it about Vito?” I asked not taking the paper from his outstretched ones. I don't want to waste my time in matters that are not important.“I received a letter from our chip. Your father is having a housewarming party. And he's planning on acquiring the Castel pack”I knew a day like this will come. He has been planning it for a while. He wants power in his hands. And I'm afraid things are going to he midway soon.“When is that going to take place?” I asked again this time around I sat up making slow steps to my room balcony. The night was at the peak. The half moon was staring directly at me.“In two days” I clenched my fist. Someone I need to come up with a way to stop that from happening. It was so easy to lure my father. So frustrating that I won't be able to get out of here like I wanted.“What should I do Master” Vito voice revamped to my eardrums once again.“Await for my order”“Alright Master. And I have one more news”“Go on”“The full moon is coming up in the next three days” And that grabbed more of my attention. I turned around and spared the man a glance. I might get a chance this time around. My father is taking over the Castel pack in two days and the full moon will appear in three days. Something needs to be done.“Summon the sorcerer”“Sure Master” I watched as he turn on his heels and walk away before I turned my attention back to the scenery outside. The silence that engulf me was something I was used to. I don't know for how long I stood there until another knock sounded from the door followed by the voice of Vito.“Master”“You called for me Master Valen” The elderly woman said bowing her head a bit.“Have a seat Adelaide” I ordered. She did as told and grabbed the old sofa that was facing my main seat.“I know I don't need to explain anything further. You know what is going on” I commenced as I sat down on my master chair.“Yes Master Valen. There's a storm coming in the next three days”“A storm?” I repeated. She chanted some unfamiliar words counting the beads in her hands.“Yes. A huge storm”“We have to stop it then” I uttered.“It cannot be stopped. Its destined to happen. It might or might not be a threat to your life master Valen” Adelaide has been my personal sorcerer the very first day I was exiled to Mont Givana. The day I was locked out of the presence of the world. I know whenever she said something is happening, it does happen.“We just have to wait for the storm. And hope it won't destroy your life”“My life?” I found it funny when she said it. Do I even have the life?“Adelaide you're talking about life that is not there. What life would a cursed beast like me have” I asserted.“You have a life master Valen. Your heart is just dead. The curse has weaken your heart”“Alright Adelaide. Thank you for your time” I said changing the topic. I know if we keep on talking about it, she’d keep dragging and possibly say something that I would not like to hear.“Thank you master Valen. Do have a good night rest” And she left. Her walking stick being her support. I sunk in a deep breath. I have to mentally prepare myslef for the storm that is coming.“Master don't you think we need to do something about what the sorcerer said”“No Vito. Adelaide doesn't give false message. We won't be able to escape it even if we try. We just have to wait for it”“Okay Master. As you say”“You may take your leave Vito”“Thank you Master” Vito walked himself out of my room. And I was left alone to think of the upcoming storm. I’m getting more chained day by day. I can no longer summon my wolf due to the curse. Like Adelaide said my heart is dead same as my wolf. I have discarded the thought of having a mate a long time ago. I could recall the day my father gave the order that I should be taken out of the pack house to prevent calamities from befalling in the pack due. I was assigned not more than five maids with four guards and the sorcerer. Since that day I haven't seen the light of the outside world. I was caged inside. Left in the curse cold Mont Givana. It has become a routine before I retire for the night, I drown myself in the pool of the night moon. From the balcony of my room I can see the outside gate of Mont Givana. The gates that opens once in a full moon. And the full moon appears once in two month. When it opens, I get to wander around the outside world.I remembered the day I went out to get some fresh air around the stream. Then I met her. Talking to her wasn't the plan but something ignite in me when I heard her sniffing a cry. I didn't expect her to lash out on me when I was trying to help. It's not my thing to comfort other. I don't even know how to. But something about her made me let one of my guard down. And her return gesture wasn't pleasant. I wonder from which pack she was and what really happened to her.At times her thought used to cross my mind. Nevertheless, I don't put much thought in it because I know we aren't meeting again. It was a coincidence the last time. I don't think that coincidence will happen again. I changed into my sleeping robe before proceeding to retire in bed. The light from outside was still illuminating the room as I closed my eyes and allow sleep to engulfed me.As normal as it is to me, I woke up with the pain in my chest which I started feeling few months ago. Adelaide has informed me it was the curse spreading in my body. If that keeps going on, my body will paralyze completely. A cure is the only way out. But then, we haven't found the cure. Adelaide is trying her best to find a solution to it. I'm afraid it might be too late. What will be left for me is to dissipate from the life of the world.I gulped down the pill that was given to me by Adelaide to subside the pain. My breakfast was being served by my maid Cindy. I was the only one occupying the master chair as I eat. The living room was quite with no sound making out inside. The only sound was that of the spoon fisting against the plate. By me.I took in the last spoon when Vito walked in making his way towards me. “Good morning master” He greeted in his respectful voice.“Morning Vito. Hope you had a great night”“I did master”My brows furrows when he didn't move an inch. Normally if we exchange greeting in the morning, he will go on his way. Yet, whenever he stays after the greetings means something is up his sleeves. “Do you have any news Vito?” I asked.“Actually yes master”“What is it about this time around” I hope my father didn't make change of plans. When I'm yet to make mine.“We have an intruder”Gianna"Mrs. Rosa, I'm hungry!" Maria stepped in positioning herself beside me. I entered the kitchen and met the woman cooking too."Well, you know I don't delay breakfast. Just be patient" The woman answered as she mix the wet and dry ingredients together. Maria tapped her foot on the floor pushing her lips forward. I find it hard not to laugh whenever she's behaving that way. So much like a small kid. "Don't you have any work to do?" I don't know whether the question was directed at me, Maria or both the two of us. Maria and I glance at each other. "Me or Maria?" I asked."The two of you. You girls should not disturb me with too much talk" "I'm back from cleaning the garden. What I need right now is a hot tea and your heavens on earth bread" "I'm done with my morning work. I need a hot tea too" I copied Maria's action. We thought the woman will lash out receiving silence from her but later, she turned to face us. "Now you believe I make delicious meals" The corner of her lips
Gianna“Excuse me. I'm still standing here” It seems they have forgotten that I was standing and listening to their confusing interaction. “You haven't given us the answer we want to hear” Vito said. While the other passed me a look which was not pleasant to me. My body doesn't fail in shuddering whenever our eyes met. Something was unclear about him. I know nothing about him but somehow I’m having the feeling somewhere. “I think you should call your master and we'll talk because I just don't understand what is going on here” Something flickers in Vito eyes. Like anger. He charged forward almost closing the gap between us. “Look girl, mind your tongue. You're standing in front of pr-”“Let it be Vito” And he stepped back with a scoff. “Listen girl, I will spare your life but that will be possible only if you come clean. I don't give second chances” I didn't try to stop the chuckle that erupt out of me. I had to access him closely. “What are you? A King? Or a prince?” If he's a kin
GiannaMorning came faster than I anticipated or should I say because I couldn't get a wink of sleep all through the night. I kept hearing the growling and cries of wolves through the walls of the room. Like they're in a fight with each other. I tried waking Maria but to no avail. She sleeps like a corpse. I was frightened because the sound was so intense that I felt like they will break down the walls. And on the accord, what happened behind the gates. I couldn't forget about the woman’s words. She knows something about my parents. I only want to know one thing, if they're alive or not. Somehow my mind is telling me there's more to what I know about them. And the woman is the key to everything. I was left to leave through the gates alone. I left the same way I entered without restrictions. Yet I don't know what they're talking about it has to be on the full moon. Which is in three days. Definitely I will have to do something within that time. Everyone was sleeping normally as if the
GiannaIt took me another minutes closed to hours to finish tidying up the room. All the while, I kept replaying Lady Hera's voice. An omega will always be an omega. So weird that I found myself thinking about it too much. I don't use to bother whenever I've been taunted with my rank. But somehow today, It hurts. The bitterness that settled in me when she uttered those words were unexpected. And more reason because of the situation. I know I cleaned up the room before leaving with Maria. I can't get it wrapped around my head why everything is out of space. As if someone did it on purpose. I don't want to jump to conclusion when I don't know the truth behind it. But then again, if someone didn't tamper with the room, it wouldn't have been in the situation. I don't understand it. I descend down in a slow step. My heart did a flip when Lady Hera threw me a look. She was seated at the dining together with the Alpha whose attention was focused on the newspaper that sat in front of him. Th
GiannaTwo days have gone by like I decades. Maybe because I was counting and anticipating for the full moon. The house went low. No troubles. Or any sort of noise from Selena. Except yesterday when she almost got into a fight with Vanessa. Maria was right. The two will definitely fight. Thank God Lady Hera was able to stop them when she overhead their argument. But then Vanessa got more insult from Lady Hera than Selena. Before leaving the secluded place, they have warned me not to come back again. But then, what the woman said isn't making me calm. I will not sit by unless I find out something. That was why I planned to go there again. Since the gates opens on the full moon, I will take advantage of that. I finished off my work as early as I can. Maria and Vanessa will take over the cooking for the day. So I have enough time to prepare how to sneak out of the house. Without anyone knowing. I was on my way out when I bumped into Maria. “I was on my way to meet you. Lady Hera wants t
GiannaA thick silence fell in the room as the woman chants her words of sorcery. All the while he kept advancing small glares to my way. I didn't miss how his jaw was clenching and unclenching. The woman kept on with what she was doing for more than five minutes before she later unwind her eyes. "Are you ready master Valen?" She asked her gaze landing on him. "You know I am. I hope there won't be any problem like you said last time. I need to reach there before my father take the wrong decision" He sat up. That was when I noticed he wasn't wearing that robe. He was dressed into a normal outfit. I wouldn't deny he looked better in them. "There won't be. The full moon will appear in fifteen minutes. I suggest we wait at the gate. You know it doesn't stay for long""Let's go then" And we all proceed to move out of the house. Valen stop turning to me. "Where are you going?" He asked accessing me from head to toe. "To the gates. Why?" I asked my brows furrowing. "If you follow us to
ValenI reckon over what transpire some hours ago. No matter how hard I tried, I can't seem to put the bits together. I was close to stepping out of Mont Givana gate. Very close. Yet, I couldn't. I felt it. How my wolf growl for the first since I was exile. I felt my body almost taking charge of it. However, such didn't happen. Instead, the omega girl worsen the situation. She fell unconscious. I knew she'd be a handful the very first time she entered through the gates. I'm not the type that give second chance but something about her piqued my interest. Possibly because we met at the lake view the last time I wandered around. I was able to recognize her through her voice. Things must've been better for her. I think. The door sounded followed by the presence of Vito. I could hear his heavy breath. As if he ran a marathon. “Master. The girl has regain consciousness” He said. And I sat up and walked out. I need no hindering secret. Adelaide will have answers to what was going on. Becaus
GiannaThe sound of spoon fisting against each other mixed with my thought was the only thing I was doing at the moment. Different scenario were coming in my head. What will happen to me now? Will I be able to get back to the pack? What will they think if they come to know I'm missing? Will they look for me? Will they have the thought of maybe I went through the gates? It came ringing in my head over and over again. I couldn't concentrate. I was only putting the food in my mouth without paying attention to it. Valen was silent too. Maybe lost in his own world. What could be my connection with the gate? Why was I able to get pass the gate before the full moon and couldn't get pass it after the full moon? Everything just seem mixed up. An exaggerated groan left my lips. “If you're not going to focus on what you're eating you can kindly keep it aside. We don't waste food here” A scoff left my lips. What is he trying to say? Can't he see I'm in some kind of situation. If he wants me out
