4. Those Words...

"SOMETIMES," SAID POOH, "THE SMALLEST THING TAKES UP THE MOST ROOM IN YOUR HEART."

After that day incident Avery saw Ricardo Cassano everyday in her cafe. He comes at lunch time every day and orders something different every time. Even once Tia told her that he was asking how many different recipes she prepares personally. Maybe He like her cooking after all, but after their last conversation she was not really looking forward to talking to him. So instead she sat near her little library and read her favorite book eating her lunch like always.. But today she noticed something different, As she lifted her book and was about to open it, a note fell out of it. She deliberately picked it up, it was just a simple white paper decorated with beautiful letters, the handwriting was really pretty. It said, "YOU WALKED INTO MY LIFE LIKE YOU HAD ALWAYS LIVED THERE, LIKE IT WAS A HOME BUILD JUST FOR YOU." She read it and she couldn't stop smiling. Those lines suddenly made her feel warm and she knew someone had kept it there because they knew that she read it everyday. She took the note and folding it carefully slid it inside her bag.. Then while sipping on her coffee she got an idea. She took a pen and a small paper and wrote what came to her mind after reading the quote again. "THIS, IS THE BEGINNING OF LOVING YOURSELF. WELCOME HOME." She wrote, while that special smile never left her lips. Placing the note inside the book she kept it at it's place again and returned to her work as she saw the customers were crowding the cafe. The day came to an end and Avery was tired out of her wits. "Are you sure you'll be alright? It's pretty late." Samuele asked Avery as she was picking up her stuff to leave.

"It's really alright Samuele, I can't possibly keep you today, your mother needs you."

"You sure right?"

"Of course! Now go!" Avery said asuuring him to the door. She could clearly see the concern in his eyes. He was reluctant to leave her alone but his mother was ailing and he needed to rush

Before closing the cafe Avery made her way to the book shelf and took out that crimson book where she found the note. She opened and searched it but the note was gone. Maybe the one who wrote them took it, just like she took his....

Smiling, she switched off all the lights and closed the cafe. She looked at the time and it was almost 11pm. Usually she doesn't work till so late but as it was

holiday and christmas was approaching so they have to work double hard. Shutting the doors and locking everything she started walking down the street.

She knew it was already late and she would not be able to catch a metro before the service shut down.

She knew it was already late and she would not be able to catch a metro before the service shut down so Avery decided to call a cab.

"Fuck it'll take 15 minutes!" She cursed and stopped walking. The streat was not exactly deserted but there were very few people and an unexpected snow was rising. Everything went wrong all of a sudden.. She sighed deeply and looked up at the sky, another day spent too well... she walked back to her cafe while she waited for the cab, at least she'll be safe there. Sitting outside the cafe Avery messaged her dad about her current situation and that she'll be home shortly.

Suddenly her phone vibrated, "I knew." She said and picked up the call.

"Yes dad?"

"Where are you? I'm coming to pick you up." He said.

"Dad I told I'm ok! I just called a cab and it'll be here in a few minutes. Don't worry." She tried to calm her dad down. Although she is not his real daughter, he loves her more than his real daughter.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"I'm at the cafe dad, waiting for the cab."

"Are you sure you will be alright? I can come if you want, or send someone."

"No dad, it'll be ok. Really."

"Alright then I want you home in half an hour." He said and cut the phone. Shit. She was in a tight situation.

While keeping her phone back in her bag she saw a folded paper and took it out.

It's the one she found in the book. She smiled as she unfolded and readed it again.

Avery desperately wanted to know who this person was. She wanted to know where she had created this beautiful heart.

Then suddenly she heard the horn of a car right in front of her.

Avery lifted her head and saw a sleek black Mustang come to a stop in front of her. Her eyebrows crashed together in confusion but as the windows rolled down confusion was not the only emotion she was experiencing. It was a mix of confusion, surprise, thrill and a bit of anger that rose through her as she saw the face she was least expecting.

"Ms. Remires." He said, his voice so deep and rich that it took her a moment to collect herself.

"Mr. Cassano." She finally replied standing up. And she didn't miss the way his charcoal eyes travel down her body for just a second before they were back on her face again.
