LOGIN“Whose birthday are you celebrating?”
Ana silently stared at the man before her, her features similar to his also turned serious. “Whose birthday are you celebrating?”
With those words repeated multiple times, Lancer frowned slightly.
But he furrowed his brow even more at the mention of the formal term for him.
He took a deep breath, and smiled, picking up the fallen gifts slowly one by one, “Are you mad at daddy because daddy is late for your birthday?”
Lancer voice were very soft, his prepared gifts piling over on his arms.
Ana turned her back, huffing quietly, but still enough for Lancer to hear, “Childish,” leaving Lancer who paused, his smile fading bit by bit as he looked at her retreating back.
Aliana chuckled gently, seeing her daughter finally enter her room, slamming the door shut.
Her weak pretense in front of her daughter from earlier, disappearing.
Lancer slowly turned his head over at Aliana who laughed just after the kid was gone, her head tilting as the corner of her lip curled up, taking a piece of a cut cake on the table and forked a tiny fallen piece from it.
“Never thought you would be treated by your daughter like that, huh? Lancerixious,” as if thinking of something funny, she softly laughed again, her shoulders trembling in forced tries, to not to laugh out loud.
“Did you sow discord between me and my daughter again?” Lancer asked coldly, though the gaze he used to look at her says otherwise.
Aliana paused, looking at Lancer's face before snickering, as if the way that Lancer asked her such a thing was funny, but still leaving her baffled.
“Sown discord?”
How could she even possibly have sown discord when this guy was the one actively looking for someone to sown discord?
This guy, really is…
Aliana sighed, putting her fork on her plate, she crossed her arm.
“You know…” instead of answering Lancer's question, Aliana started to say, the corner of her lip curling up in some mockery as she remembered the conversation she had with her daughter earlier. “Someone very ‘close’ to you, suggested that I leave you because you’re a scumbag and it doesn’t matter anymore what would happen if I really did it. So tell me Lancer,” she paused, taking the expression of her mate in front of her.
“How could I possibly sow discord between you two, when your daughter already dislikes you so much that she came up with such suggestions to her mother?” Aliana smiled, her dark green eyes twinkling.
Though, the whimpering of her wolf, voicing her protest softly, but is felt strongly, made her feel as if there was an electric shock on her body.
Aliana bit her lower lip, about to fight with her wolf, when..
“Grrr.”
Aliana flinched at Lancer growl void of strong violence, but she bared her teeth, growling back angrily at Lancer who suddenly came closer, pushing her against the edge of the table, his back bent as his face neared her own, having those golden eyes darkening with rage. “How can mates divorce? A blasphemy against the moon goddess fated threads!”
“It will never happen. Don’t dream!”
His voice was low as he growled, his adam apple bobbling up as green veins burst out of his forehead and hand, because of the force he used while restraining both of her sides.
Aliana relaxed, she blinked, then silently stared at him. When Lancer calmed down and about to let her go, his expression cooling and returning to the once cold and detached emotion he had towards this bestowed mate of his, Aliana laughed.
She laughed.
“Are you sure?”
Aliana voice was soft as she asked, “Are we really mates though? Am I… really your mate? Lancerixious.”
Those dark green eyes stared back at him, it seemed to have a little bit of red that tint within them, showing the turmoil of the owner behind those eyes.
Lancer bent down, once again agitated. A little bit of fur appeared on his left arm, his golden eyes flickering to her sudden manic gaze. It made him feel a chill running down his spine. But he just frowned slightly, thinking it was a normal trait for a dominant omega to have.
“Don’t let me force you to get that thought out of your head—”
His words were cut, as Aliana claws came out of her left hand, scratching the side of Lancer cheeks, dripping down a cut of blood down to his chin.
Slap!
Lancer eyes slowly widened, raising his hand to hold the cheeks that went bloody.
Slowly turning his head to look over at the woman he didn’t even bother to spare any attention with except for their heat cycle month, had his jaw clenched in suppressed anger, “You dare….”
Aliana cut him off, her head tilting as she brought her claws close to her lips, savoring the blood that was on them, “Yeah, and I even dare to ask the moon goddess again if you were really my mate.”
“Or… was recognized my mate as a mistake,” Lancer growled, his face becoming furry as his own golden eyes shimmered in fury. Aliana gritted her teeth, her wolf, who realized she was in danger was about to automatically shift on her form, but she stopped, as Aliana took the opportunity to hold the loose cross necklace on Lancer neck, yanking it towards her violently. “Cause Lancer, if you really are my destined mate. The moon goddess should have punished you for your infidelity long ago..”
“Am I right?”
Aliana let him go, her eyelashes flickered down, calmly taking a tissue out from the counter as she wiped off the blood from her claws, “Maybe I could even ask… if that recessive omega is your mate instead.”
Lancer transformed, his towering silver wolf form hovered above her head, growling, his mouth opened wide, as if to eat her if she was to say more.
“…”
Her wolf hidden inside her, paused, whimpering in disbelief at her bonded wolf act of violence towards her, then growled in anger when Lancer took a step closer towards her. Aliana snickered, looking at Lancer whole wolf form that looked quite agitated, facing her.
“She’s starting to hate you,” pausing, Aliana laughed, "Just like how I hate you all along,” she mocked.
“...”Silence filled the room once again as Ana stared at him, stepping back, putting another considerable distance between the two of them. The movements were too small, but quite done naturally. As if putting a distance between her and him has already become a habit that he cannot come and undo.“Why?”“Don’t you want to give them the rightful identity to have..?” Ana paused, lifting her eyes, “Don’t you want the pack to not ostracize them by being a homewrecker–?”“Ana!”Ana flinched, biting her lower lip, those dull eyes finally brightened, though were filled in hate towards him.Lancer froze, his throat tightening.“It’s getting late. You rest early.” He quietly turned his back, hurriedly leaving the room. The wooden door once again shut close. Ana took a deep breath, slowly walking towards her baby seat, staring at the transparent moonlight outside.Only after several moments did she quietly curl her whole body up, hugging her knees tightly.“..I really hate him. Why is he, my
Lancer left, thumping his foot on the ground as he walked upstairs, hoping to catch a little bit of Aliana attention downstairs. But Aliana didn’t even bother to glance his way, as she continued to chat with his cousin with those eyes shining so brightly, making his gaze darkening as green vein bulged out from his nape.If one who don’t know better were to see these guys..They will surely mistake Aliana and Jasper as the mated one instead.“...”Lancer stopped in front of his daughter bedroom door. Though—his mind went blank instantly, not knowing what he should do next.He paced back and forth outside Ana bedroom door, fidgeting while holding the gift intended for his daughter. He stopped, hand hovering just before the wooden door, hesitating for only a second remembering how Ana acted at him, knocking twice as he took a deep breath.Knock.Knock..“Ana?” he called out softly, knocking rhythmically before the wooden door.Silence.Absolute silence..Lancer forehead creases slightly,
The silver wolf form paused as her words fell, as Lancer reverted back to his human form, his shirt torn to shreds hanging loosely between his well defined waist bulked by eight toned abs."..."Aliana tilted her to look at Lancer who silently stared at her back after transforming to human form. She smiled, feeling the thread bonding the two of them thinning pitifully when the attempt for a murderous attack was made.Aliana raised her brows. So she really is bonded to this guy. But... raising her head to look at Lancer who stared back at her with eyes red filled with fury after reverting back, clearly being repulsed by his own wolf, she tilted her head and asked with the corner of her lips curled up in mockery, "What? Even your wolf hates you now huh--?""Shut up-!" Lancer coldly interjected her, when he was also cut off by his phone ringtone. His cold demeanor instantly softened as he took his phone out of his pockets then answered the call. Aliana silently stared at Lancer back who

The dining room were filled with silence, gloom hovering above as the little girl with a birthday hat worn on her head, hung down loosely."Mom..." her childlike voice sounded, so low that it seemed barely a whisper. It was filled with so much sorrow that Aliana flinched, unease growing inside her heart.Silence...Aliana pursed her lips, uneasily rubbing the corner of the gold plates lying cold at the table, before she turned her head to look at her daughter."Yes, sweetie?" Aliana smiled, though it looks too fake if seen by someone she knows, because even if she tried her hardest best to give a truthful happy smile, her still eyes didn’t move, still the same melancholic as before. Her dark green eyes stared at her daughter in hidden sorrow as the wolf inside her whimpered, an agonized howl escaping right after, affecting her once-steady mood. Her eyelids twitched, clenching the fork in her hand, looking straight at her daughter's watery eyes.Ana, her daughter, with a birthday hat
