12. Cade and Kaya

When we entered Mark and Helen's makeshift shelter. I looked down at the ground to see them both still sleeping. There were clothes spewed all over the makeshift shelter. I knew what they had been doing before they fell asleep.

But why were they still asleep. I kicked Mark's leg. He moved and groaned a bit, turning over. I looked at Kaya. She began to chuckle at the scene. Did she know what caused this? "Do you know what happened to them?" "Yeah, potato juice." "What." "We collect many wild potatoes during the summer and distill it. So, they got drunk off the stuff; it is strong. Also, I would bet they had some sheesh." "What is that." "It is an herb we like to smoke. It makes you euphoric."

I looked at the two passed-out people. They had to get up. I bent down and began to shake Mark. He finally began to stir. "What?" He groaned. "Mark?" Hearing that it was me, he sat right up. "Alpha." "Calm down Mark. I am here to get you and Helen up. Get dressed; we will grab some food.
