A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
The ice rink was similar to the one they had back home and having the place decked out in tinsel stars and colorful Christmas lights warmed Sierra’s heart despite the chill in the air.
“It’s your first Christmas here, I figured you’d be missing home so I thought if you couldn’t be home for Christmas, how about we bring a little home to you?” Roman smiled down at her with kind eyes, “It’s hardly a Christmas in San Francisco surrounded by the people you love, but even with eight-thousand miles between you, I knew there had to be something that would make the holiday time sweeter.” If her heart was warm before, his words melted her.

A PERFECT FIT“Catch me if you can.” Sierra laughed and took off down the street, it was the first time in a week that the weather was good enough to take a run outside in the morning so her excitement was through the roof. DESIRE Sierra listened to Roman’s rhythmic breathing as her mind replayed the events of the previous weekend; they spent Friday evening watching the local performers at the night market after their endeavors at the Ice Rink. The one thing Sierra loved most about the city was that it never slept, it didn’t matter what time you went out, there were always people mulling the streets and businesses open waiting for customers as if it were midday. They got home late that night, Roman walked her to the door of her apartment and left with a goodnight kiss on the cheek, she’d invited him in for coffee, but the early shift he had at the hospital stopped him, he was one of the only doctors who’d be on duty on Christmas day which meant he’d need all his strength, so she hid her disappointment and let him go.

A DANCE WITH DESTINYSierra collapsed on her couch after a long day of sightseeing and adventure.
