Chapter Sixteen

Amelia sat quietly with her arms folded around her knees and her chin resting in between them. She stared lazily at Ryan with a small smile of satisfaction playing on her lips. 

She had honestly expected the absolute worst to happen the minute she let Adrian leave her here by herself and at first, things did seem to be going just the way she had expected but that was until Ryan suddenly recognised her and called out her name. She had thought it was all in her head until she heard Ryan's voice call out to her again,  pleading that she ran out of the room and get as far away from him as possible. 

As expected, Amelia turned deaf ears to his words and did what any absolutely sane person wouldn't do. She moved closer to him and did the first thing that came to mind which was hugging him and getting that close to him made her realise that Ryan wasn't actually in his human form. 

The only part of his body that still looked human was his face but ot
