Chapter 39

"Alpha, can Jessy have her seat?" She asked politely.

" I should have known that she has a guardian angel seated here.

"Did I make her stand in the first place?" I replied firmly.

Bella then knew that was my go ahead. She touched Jessy and whispered to her to sit. She did slowly looking at me as if I would tell her not to. The lunch started in silence. Whenever I eat I do love to hear reports about the pack because it increases my appetite but now we have a stranger admit us. I wouldn't want to do that and my men sure understands that. Even the plan I was planning to share with them has to be later.

As we ate, I noticed her eyes was regularly glancing at me. It's not that I too was so focused on eating but I didn't want to look at her. It got to the point that I couldn't help it and I looked at her. Our eyes met and she choked on her food. I shook my head at her clumsiness.

Bella quickly gave her water patting her back gently. None know why she choked except me.
