As Kat entered the second level where King Luisette’s harem resided she allowed her shadows to move through the level, darkening everything down. She could hear the startled screams and exclamations from within as she closed her eyes, feeling her way through the shadows, looking for where Luisette was within the rooms. She took a deep breath in, opening her eyes with a satisfied smile as she found him, lying within the bedroom of Lady Esmay. As Ruben walked into the throne room he looked around and surprisingly saw Von Dulce sitting behind his desk, frantically scribbling something down on a piece of paper. Ruben and Batton looked at each other before Ruben coughed for Von Dulce’s attention. They made quick work of rounding up the Lords they needed, as soon as they opened the doors to the rooms and the vampires saw the great demon as the shadows crept in behind them they quickly made their way down the halls with no great objections, their expressions grim and wary as they were herded towards their destination of the Throne room. As they all stepped in they gasped as they saw Ruben sitting upon the Throne looking very regal with the King’s robes around his shoulders and the inert body of King Alessandro Luisette lying upon the couch to one side. Ruben watched them with an eagle like stare as they were herded in and grouped together, surrounded by soldiers. Kat was enduring the preparations of her eternal bonding with Ruben. He had left her in the charge of the two fae women from Luisette’s harem, where she had been instructed to soak in a bath full of goat’s milk in which a drop of Ruben’s blood had been added, then showered clean, her hair and makeup done.Kat was dressed in a stunning gown of black, with a corseted waist and long straight skirt. After tidying themselves up they walked out of the catacombs and back up into the palace. Kat startled to see a small group of vampires waiting for them, amongst them was King Adicus Luisette, now wearing his crisp uniform jacket but instead of his peaked hat he wore the simple gold crown and looking very dashing. He smiled at them as everyone else applauded politely. Kat turned her head in embarrassment to see Ruben laughing with delight. He stepped forward and started shaking hands with the people waiting as they gave him their congratulations. Kat stayed where she was not sure if she should follow him or not. A voice behind her made her spin around with shock as Ruben did the same, grinning from ear to ear. “How about a hello to your favourite childhood friend?” Vladimir was standing there in all his flouncy glory, a young noble looking man standing behind him, both dressed up to the nines with frilly shirts and outrageous velvet suits. “Vladimir!” Ruben shouted with amazement.

As Ruben stepped into the private rooms at the top of a massive tower that were once occupied by Basille he looked around with distaste before looking up and gasping. “Holy shit, this is not what I expected…” The entire ceiling was see-through to the sky like a massive atrium. It was dark outside and they could see a million stars twinkling down on them. Kat hugged her arms around herself as she looked around the room with a small pout. “Even though this room was Basille’s it was my most favourite room in the whole castle.” She looked up at the sky with a whimsical smile. The Demon King was huge and sat upon an impressively massive throne that covered the entire back wall from floor to ceiling like organ pipes in a cathedral. Ruben’s eyes narrowed as he took in the mighty beast languishing on his throne. He was clearly about twelve feet tall, long black hair fell down to his shoulders as two foot long curled black horns stuck through it on either side of his forehead. He was chiselled and cruel looking, his eyes were literally flaming, swirling with red, orange and yellow, the pupils slits, where the sclera were usually white his were black and bottomless. He was dressed in a black house coat embroidered with gold thread depicting dragons, his bare chest and astonishing abdominal muscles were displayed with arrogant pride.
