Lillian Pov

I sat on my swing in the library, rocking Zira and I. She is sleeping on my lap, while I play with her hair, reading a book. It has been a month since the disastrous meeting in the court and things have been peaceful. All the elders have learnt to behave themselves and I barely see Alma just a few times in the courtroom, but I noticed she is looking pale these days. But that is none of my business. But I have been having minor concerns about Asher. He has been sneaking off lately and anytime I ask him where he went, he would just kiss my lips and smile at me. I wonder what he is planning and even Ophelia has been smiling at me. Something is definitely wrong with those two and I am so curious about what they are planning. I dropped my book. I wasn’t even concentrating.

“Sky,” I called, looking at the sleeping hellhound. His body moved as he turned to me, yawning.

“Do you know what Asher and
