Elisha’s POV
I punched him in the face, and I gasped in pain. It felt like I had hit a rock, and my hands hurt. I held my left hand while I stared at him in shock and confusion. Suddenly, my left hand hurt so bad that I could only grit my teeth and endure the pain.
His eyes broadened, and he grabbed my hand to see if I was all right. But I stepped back and told him, "Don't touch me!"
I walked inside the hospital and he followed me inside, he looked for a Doctor to look for my sprained knuckles.
“Doctor, can you take a look at her hand?”
"Yes, Of course!"
The Doctor stopped what he was doing, and then took me to his clinic. Then he said, “Did you punch a wall? It looks like your knuckles hurt so bad, it was swollen already.”
I sighed and looked over at Arman, who was standing in the corner and listening to the Doctor's query. Arman's eyes landed on me. I gave him a dirty look and said to the Doctor, "Damn, I didn't know his face was made of metal."
"Oh, that's it? So you smacked someone in the face?" The Doctor tried to put an ointment on my knuckles and told me, "Avoid doing things that hurt, make you swell up, or make you feel uncomfortable. Ice. Use an ice pack or an ice slush bath right away for 15 to 20 minutes, and do this every two to three hours while you're awake."I give a soft chuckle, "Thanks, Doc!" "You're welcome."The Doctor left the room, and I stood up with a disgusted expression on my face, then Arman said, “Next time, don’t try to smack my face with your soft, weak knuckles.”
“Well, you’re too vulgar, why did you whisper something to me—”
“Like what?”
“Like you want to bed me—” I covered my mouth when an old couple walked past in front of us, and they stared at me in disgusting expressions.
“New generation today is too vulgar, you know?” The woman whispered to her husband.
“Yes, they are too wild and liberated nowadays…” said the husband and then left.I blinked my eyes slowly, and couldn't even believe what I just heard from them. “How could they react like that without hearing the whole story?”
Arman said, “So do you want them to know about everything?”
He’s really getting into my nerves and I rolled my eyes in annoyed feelings, then walked to my mom’s room, where I saw Cristella reading a magazine in her hand and my mom was still sleeping on her bed. The nurse greeted me, “Hello, Miss Elisha. Thank God, you’re here, don’t worry your mom will be discharged today, and it’s only a minor injury–”
“Injury?”
The Nurse answered, “Yes, I guess your sister can tell you about what happened. Excuse me.”
The Nurse put her hair in her earlobe, and winked at Arman in a cute way, like she wants Arman so bad to take her to bed tonight. I held Arman’s arm, and closed the door. Then Cristella said, “So…everything happened so fast, and now—this hot bad boy is your boyfriend now?”
“No, Cristella.”
Cristella threw her magazine on the table and asked, “Then what? A fling? You got the nerve to be so happy, living the best of your life, and being so selfish while your family was suffering in a miserable situation!”
Arman clears his throat, “Your sister—” But I cut him off, and told him to shut his mouth.
“Okay, this is what happened—I married Arman, I’m married….” I showed Cristella the ring on my finger.
She dropped her phone in shock, and her lips trembled in anger, “How could you—” she was out of breath, and gasped. “How could you marry this man without telling us? Yes! You are so selfish!”
Mom woke up, and said, “Cristella, why are you screaming?!”
Cristella walked towards my mom and said, “Mom! Your daughter married a stranger!”
“Harry’s family is going to haunt us….they’re going to kill us for this disgraceful act!” Mom cried softly, sobbed continuously. “Your father will be rotten in jail, how could you save your father, Elisha?!”
Cristella screamed at me, “You married this man to get away from Harry, I don’t care if this man is hot, and handsome—but Elisha! What’s wrong with you? You know that Harry….” My sister realized something. She continued, “Oh gosh, Harry died last night….what should we do?!”
My mom was in panic also, and I said in the middle, “Guys, guys! Can you please calm down?!”
“Do you expect us to calm down?! Do you know how powerful the Davidson’s family are?! They are known to be powerful in this town—and Ruthless. If you did something to them, you’ll suffer from their punishment!” Mom said.
Cristella agreed, and wiped away her tears, “Damn! How are we supposed to calm down? I hate this, I hate it when you marry someone to get away from your problem! But how about us?!”
I glanced at Arman who had a blank expression in the corner, his hand was in his pocket and his forehead creased as he looked at me with full attention.
He stepped forward, and said cooly, “Anyway,” he paused for a moment, and everyone was staring at him, and they are ready to hear his statement,"I married her for my own reasons, but don't worry. I'll get Mr. Hart out of jail with the help of my best lawyer, and..." He looked at me again and crossed his arms over his chest. "And I'll send my men to protect you. They'll surround your area to keep you safe, and then we'll get a protection order against harassment for you."
My mother sighed in relief, made the sign of the cross, and then said, "Oh god! God bless you! Who are you? How can you stay so calm when your life could be in danger because our family was in a terrible situation?"
“I don’t like introducing myself, but sooner or later, you’ll get to know me.” Arman said with an assuring smile on his face.
I wanted to get out of this awkward situation, but then Arman said, “I guess me and my wife need to rest now.”
My mom and sister were silent as they stared at me; most shockingly, Arman opened the door for me, and I didn't bother looking at my family's faces anymore. It was so awkward, and I was glad Arman handled it well. I didn't know what to do if it was not with him tonight; I'm pleased he went with me inside the hospital and not leaving me.
As we left the hospital, he looked at my hand again and blew slowly on it as if trying to calm me down. We were staring at each other with our eyes locked, and as we did, we heard a wolf roaring in front of us. He put me behind him, trying to move the big black wolf before us. How could a big wolf get in here? And how could Arman make the wolf afraid of him? The wolf runs back inside the woods. He held my hand as we walked, then I pushed him away but he said, “We have to go now…you still need to pleasure me, you owe me big time tonight.”
I blink my eyes, “What?”
“I’ll tell you what to do when we arrive at home.”
“Wait….what?”
Elisha’s POV“Arman, we have been waiting for you for an hour now. Come on inside, we need to have to talk—” A woman who had a pair of eyeglasses glanced at me. She paused a little, then continued, “Well, tell her that we have an important meeting tonight. This can’t be tomorrow.” Arman escorted me inside the house while his hand was over my waist, “My butler will take care of you.” A woman in a suit smiled at me but looked like she could easily punch me in the face if I did something wrong. I sighed, sat down on the couch while scrolling something on my phone screen, and said, "Fine."Arman left the living room when he heard the woman outside, but I didn't know that they went to another building. There's a group of people outside, and it looks like they're having a conference room meeting. The Butler said, “Ma’am, may I?” She was staring at my bag, and I shook my head, “No, it’s okay…” She folded her hand together gracefully, then smiled, “Okay, let me show you your room…” “My
Elisha’s POVI came back to him just to snatch my bra in his hand, and he got a very sweet smile on his face while he was staring at me.“Arman, I’m not playing with you!” He winked at me, “Neither do I…” “Stop looking at me like that, it doesn't suit you, okay?” It feels like he was having fun to make me feel angry, and embarrassed at the same time. I walked inside the room again and put on the bra; after that, I went downstairs and saw everyone laughing and chit-chatting around. I took a step forward and saw a lot of people outside. It looks like I was staring at a group of clans in Arman’s family. The giggling ended as soon as Arman caught sight of me and stopped what he was doing; simultaneously, the corners of my lips began to pull apart in surprise. Arman stepped toward me and beckoned me over, saying, "Hey....come here, baby." “So, is this the human that you are talking about, bro?” The man with eight packs asked and winked at me. “Hi, I’m Zel.” Zel extended his hands and
Elisha’s POV"No." I walked away from him and grabbed my purse. Everyone saw me leave the Villa, and Arman had nothing to do with it. He just saw me leave the Villa and stopped chasing me because it might look like he was desperate for me, so he just let me go and told the guards, "Close the Gate!" I heard his mom ask, “What is going on, son?!” I walked into the street without looking back, and when I saw the gate close, I walked as fast as I could and tried to find a taxi, but I thought this was private land and no public transportation goes here. So I walked and walked until I got to the street where people looked for public transit. When I got to the Hart Empire, the building looked empty. It made me sad to think that the building used to be full of life and happiness, but now it seems like an abandoned building. I took a deep breath and tried not to cry as I looked at everything that was missing.I touched the building while trying to break down but I couldn’t help myself but c
Elisha’s POV“He’s in a coma.” Four words immediately put my heart skipped a beat, and my world stopped moving as I heard that from my sister. I couldn’t stop thinking about my Dad and what would have happened to him in the past few days. “Mom, let me explain.” I tried to talk to my mom, but she was distant and glared at me angrily while pointing at the exit; she gulped and said in a cracked voice, “Leave…..I don’t want to see your face!” “Mom—” “I said, Leave!”I had to leave with a sad heart because she didn't even listen to what I had to say. Where did I go wrong? Do they ever think I could do something like that to Dad? As I slowly walked away from the hospital, tears slowly came out of my eyes. Then I saw him again. I quickly wiped away my tears, and my nervousness went away when I saw him take a few more steps toward me. His eyes were like magnets that wanted to pull me back to him, but I stood still and didn't even dare to move. “Arman…” I whispered under my breath. The
Elisha’s POV He was fast…strong and wildly capable of doing something that was impossible for humans like me. Even though I had been gazing at the wall the entire time, I could only see Arman's face—his grin and the crimson glint that appeared in his eyes whenever he became enraged. I had convinced myself that I was merely hallucinating, but I saw his red eyes again today. As he struggled to keep the car from careening off the edge of the cliff, his eyes flared a bright crimson, and in an effort to keep me safe, he held both my head and the door of the car and embraced my body so nothing happened to me. When I opened my eyes, I found him covered in blood with cuts on his arms, legs, and other body parts. My first fear was that he would lose his arms, but his body quickly returned to its previous state, and he carried on as if nothing had happened. "Mrs. Ashford...." I thought no one was calling my name because I was deep in thought, but I heard a woman call my name for the third
Elisha’s POV “If he was not like this before, so was he a bad guy in his past?” I asked softly without blinking. The Butler smiled at me, “Well, maybe.” I groaned softly, “What’s your name?” He scratched his head, “Uhm, don’t tell this to him, he’ll be mad at me if I was telling you something about him.” I agreed with him, “Yes, your name is?” He politely answered, “I’m Marcus.” I extended my hand with a smile on my face, “I’m Elisha…” He didn’t take my hand because he was scared of Arman who was staring at him at the doorway. I blink my eyes slowly innocently and Marcus bowed his head and left the living room with a sweating forehead. Arman walked up to me and said, "You don't want to ask about the robber who stole your Dad's bank information and the one who took your fingerprint so they could open the vault and get into any account and make it look like you took all of your Dad's money?" I pouted in complete sadness and said, "If it were that easy to find that man,
Elisha’s POV"You mean what?" I take a big breath, and it feels like my mind is spinning in confusion. I don't know what she means because today I saw three big wolves, and they are wolves. But they are so big that they are even bigger than a human. I put my hand up and said, "I...I don't get it." Cristella continued driving and said, “There are no wolves in this area, it’s been a long time since wolves were gone.” I sat silently in the corner and didn’t have any idea how to explain this to Cristella—but I saw big wolves today, and I was not daydreaming or hallucinating. I saw it in my own eyes right in front of me today.Cristella added, “Unless some people owned a wolf as a pet. But wild wolves? I don’t think so…” I didn't say anything for a second, and then I didn't say anything more to my sister because I knew she wouldn't believe me. We don't get along with each other at all, and when we talk to each other, we always end up arguing and rolling our eyes. I called my mum, and l
Elisha’s POVCristella fake a laughed, and said, “I was just kidding!” Arman smiled at her, and I didn’t like it when I saw him smiling at another woman’s witty behaviour. I suddenly felt hatred towards my sister, and it wa snot my intention to feel like this. Cristella smiled at him, and swirl her tongue. I grabbed Arman’s hand and said, “Okay, I’ve seen this a lot. Cristella, please behave yourself….” Cristella shrugged her shoulders, “I didn’t do anything, right mom?” My mother was already tipsy when she went into the house without saying a word to anyone. I suppose she has many things to think about, particularly the issue with Dad and the practically unbearable scenario we are in right now.Cristella was standing in the very corner of the room with her arms crossed as she watched Arman and I walk. When I looked in her direction, she rolled her eyes in jealousy.I scowled at Arman, "I need an explaination---" "About what?" he cut me off. "I was wondering why you kept wolves
