Steve went home straight from the restaurant, he was beyond devastated, he regretted every single thing, he really should have been careful.

In a dimly lit room, slight sobs could be heard resounding through all the corners. The strong scent of alcohol traveled across the room. He sat down looking broken on the floor, he regretted everything, and he wished he could turn back time.

"Mira, I love..." He didn't complete his sentence before he suddenly stopped "What the h*ll have I done??"

He sat down looking devastated and shattered, he was growing insane, regretting what happened, everything that happened...

The young man sat down on the floor and tried to remember how it all started.

****

Two months earlier~~

He was meant to sign a business deal with a company but to his surprise, his secretary informed him they were signing the business deal in a private room at a night bar.

Steve was the CEO of a company that was passed down to him as the eldest son of the Jim family.

Around 6:00 pm he arrived at the bar with his secretary, Catherine, they walked to the private room and saw a man waiting for them inside already, the man introduced himself as the personal assistant to the CEO of Fidel's Company, which was the reason Steve was here.

After introducing themselves briefly they started talking about the deal, Steve found absolutely nothing to his disadvantage so he accepted, they were both benefitting from this deal.

Although both companies were at an advantage and signing wouldn't be a problem, they both had to revise the plans keenly. After they finished signing, a waiter came in with a bottle of red wine.

"Let us make a toast for future collaboration with your company Mr. Steve," Mr. Gabriel said.

Steve wasn't the alcohol type, he couldn't hold his liquor but it would sound disrespectful to reject a toast, so he joined Mr. Gabriel and they clicked each other's bottles.

By the time they finished everything Steve was drunk as hell, he couldn't stand up to his feet on his own.

Catherine his secretary had to help him out, she rested one of his hands on her shoulders and held him by the waist for support, when they reached the parking lot, she realized that she didn't know where he lived. Their CEO never gave anyone his home address, so she decided to take him to a hotel, at the thought of this, Catherine grinned mischievously to herself.

She worked for him for the past three years, the first time she saw him, she was attracted to him, no doubt he had the money, looks, and everything a woman would look for in a man. She was there even before he had a girlfriend but he never noticed her.

After giving it much thought, she took him to a hotel nearby. Catherine booked a room and helped Steve to the room. When they arrived she dropped him on the bed carefully.

Catherine had plans of sleeping with Steve to tie him down to herself but she shrugged the thought away "No no no, that would make me..." She didn't complete her statement when the thought that Steve would go back to his girlfriend hit her hard.

She ended up choosing another means to get what she wanted.

The next day, Steve woke up with a severe headache, he tried to turn around but he suddenly heard someone sniff, and he immediately jerked his eyes open.

He gasped out loud in shock when he saw Catherine sitting on the floor, 'What happened?'. Their clothes were scattered around the room, which made him more confused.

She was sobbing, her eyes were all swollen, and her clothes... She covered herself with the sheets.

Steve felt like his head would set off very soon, he didn't understand, he wanted to remember what happened last night, but his head ached badly whenever he tried.

Steve held his head with both hands "What happened?" He asked Catherine, who didn't want to answer she kept on shedding tears like a broken dam.

Steve stood up and wrapped himself up, he went close to Catherine, "What happened last night?" he asked

" You... You forced me" Catherine said with trembling lips, her shoulders were shaking, and she didn't need to explain further, Steve could already understand what would have happened.

He felt his world crumbling beneath him, no no no. This can't be happening. When Catherine said so the first thing that came to his mind was Mirabel, what has he done...?

He was still in a daze when Catherine stood up, she wore her clothes still sobbing.

After she finished dressing up, she walked towards the door looking all broken.

Steve immediately came back to his senses and held her back.

"Please no one should know about this, I'll give you enough money," he said.

What?! Is this all he could say?

Catherine slapped his hands off angrily and walked out.

Steve felt like slapping himself, 'What did he just do? How did it end up like this' he fell to the floor, his head... It ached a lot.

****

Presently

He sat down all weak and shattered, his world crumbled right in front of him and he could do nothing to mend it back

He tried to tell Mirabel various times but he never had the courage to. The story didn't end there or else it would have been easier for him.

He planned on telling Mirabel about it a few nights ago but one night before, he suddenly got a call. His father invited him home.

On his way to work, he dropped by earlier. When he entered the house he was greeted with the grim look on his parent's faces, but what surprised him more was the lady sitting with them.

He was beyond shocked and surprised to see Catherine sitting there with his parents in the sitting room.

He felt like his world crumbled and shattered into pieces when his parents finally revealed to him that Catherine was pregnant.

When Steve heard that from his mother he knew he was done for, in the end, he had to marry her. The family's reputation was at stake.

Steve felt faint after everything, how was he going to ever face Mirabel, what was he going to tell her??

He didn't know how to face her and tell her that's why he called her and told her that they should break up; Yes, he knew he was a coward.

Remembering everything that happened made his head ache severely.

"Mira... I love you, I always did and I'll always do" he finally said and a tear rolled down his eyes.

FOUR YEARS LATER*** Axel's mansion was lively with kids playing around as the sun shone its light across the fields. Amora and Arden who were now seven years old, they sat down in the garden with Mabel as they played on the grass in the garden. Amora and Mabel's hair was packed into two ponytails, Amora had taken her father's black shiny hair, while Arden's hair was brown, falling to his forehead and covering it. Mabel on the other hand, had taken her mother's blonde hair, the kids played around together, under the loving gazes of their fathers who sat down on chairs facing the kids. "Who would have thought my silent little Mabel would end up becoming a chaotic little princess" Troy sighed. "A silent nature doesn't even fit her, to begin with, her father is so noisy while her mother is cheerful, I think her new behavior stemmed from you both" Stephen chipped in as he sat beside Troy, sipping from the cup of wine in his hand and occasionally staring at where the ladies sat down c

THREE YEARS LATER*** The sun was shining brightly in the sky, casting a warm glow over the beautiful outdoor wedding venue. A road of white chairs was neatly arranged on either side of a grassy aisle, leading up to an elegant white archway adorned with delicate flowers of greenery. The soft staring of classical music filled the air. As the guests eagerly awaited the bride's arrival, Axel stood nervously at the end of the aisle, his heart racing as he prepared to see Mirabel for the first time in her wedding dress. Beside him stood a young boy who looked beyond stunning, with a calm aura around him, dressed in a miniature version of his father's tuxedo, standing proudly as one of the groomsmen. Stephen stood with Axel trying to claim his friend down, and beside him was Martin. And then, finally, they heard light footsteps as someone walked in, a young baby girl three years old, walked down the aisle with a small basket of flowers in her hand, her smile was so bright that the guest

Six Months Later. Mirabel sat down in the garden taking in a breath of air, as she ate some fruits, her baby bump was now super obvious cause she was already nine months gone, her phone which was on the table rang out loud, and she picked it up and check the caller ID, smiling, she answered the call and moved the phone to her ear. "Hey! Quinn, how are you doing?" "Mira! I'm good, how's the baby?" Quinn asked, her words made Mirabel gently rub her baby bump and the baby respond with a kick, an action that the child does once in a while. "Fine," she said with a smile. "That's good. I'm coming to Country A in a few days with my father, he insists on meeting Axel's family" Quinn said. "Ok, we'll make preparations for it" They talked for the next few minutes before the call came to an end. Troy held her closely as her body pressed onto his, and the tension in the room increased. His eyes widened when Charlotte brushed her thighs to his member who was already standing hard. He didn't need anyone to tell him that he had also been drugged, he just wasn't sure how it had happened. He groaned as the place in between her legs slightly brushed through his member, he was only wearing a towel. He held her waist tightly as his body heated up, holding her waist, he stood up with her, their lips still sealed, he led her to the bed, dropping her on it, Charlotte looked up at him, she didn't know what was wrong with her, but he was the only one she could give in to. Her body was heating up and she needed him. "I'm so sorry, but I don't think this is right, you might end up hating me when you realize what happened tomorrow. I'll look for another way to help you, the last thing I want is for you to stay away from me. Let me think of something else" he said and was about to take a t

As the clip reached its climax, the music swelled to a fever pitch. The woman burst into a run, her pursuers hot on their heels. Just when it seemed that all was lost, she stumbled and fell, her body hitting the pavement with a sickening thud. The screen faded to black, leaving the crowd in stunned silence, for a moment, no one moved or spoke, the impact of the drama they had just witnessed lingered in the air. Slowly, the lights in the hall began to brighten, and the crowd began to stir. As the realization of the drama's impact set in, the murmurs turned into a wave of thunderous applause that echoed through the hall. The applause was loud and sustained as the crowd showed their appreciation for the performance and expertly crafted storytelling that had been brought to life on the screen before them. The waitress who had been standing by the door walked into the hall as the place brightened up. She went up straight to the table where the trio sat. She handed out the tray to the

Sofia paced around the corridor, at the far end of it, she brought out her phone and dialed a number, it was answered on the first ring. "Hello, Miss" the female voice from the other end greeted. Without returning the greeting, Sofia went straight to the point of the call "I don't care how you are going to do it, all I want you to do is slip the drug in a drink and hand it to him. If at all you fail to do this, you would regret it, and if you succeed, I'll award you with a million bucks" "Remember. No matter what happens at the end of the day, you must never call my name if you are caught. Deal?" Long silence from the other end "Ok, Ms. It's a deal, I'll do it. When would I get the money?" the waitress asked. "After you hand him the drink, I'll send the money" "Ok," the call came to an end. Sofia had a sly grin on he face, this was just her first plan and for some reason, she feels like she would get what she was here for. Sofia wasn't sure yet how she was going to put her firs
