Chapter 48: Fishy

Lyra watched her own reflection in the mirror as she practiced her smile. It was stiff and awkward, but she’s trying her best to improve it. She grabbed the pencil she kept in her pocket and chuckled to herself. It's bizarre how she's about to attempt to imitate the silly video she just watched, in which a girl practiced her smile while biting a pencil. It was a bit unusual, of course, but Lyra wanted to try it to see if it would help her out. It is her first photoshoot with Derrick, and the whole world will be able to see it.
