House of Terror

Inside the house, the air was thick with damp rot and fear.

Elias walked past the torn couch, into the back room.

The door creaked open.

The room was dimly lit by a single hanging bulb, buzzing like a dying fly. It reeked of sweat, mold, and fear.

And scattered around the room were the girls.

Seven of them.

Huddled together. Thin. Terrified.

Their eyes widened when the door burst open.

Some backed into corners. Others began to cry.

Reina’s body was dropped onto the moldy floor like garbage.

The girls inside scrambled away, gasping when they saw him. No one wanted to be seen. No one wanted to be touched.

“She’s fresh off the shelf,” Elias said, brushing dirt from his knuckles with mock tenderness. He nodded at Reina. “Say hello to your new sister, girls. Be sweet—we wouldn’t want her to break too soon.”

The others cowered, but no one dared to say a word.

Some cried.

Most hid.

But one didn’t move fast enough.

Elias’s gaze locked on her.

His hand twitched.

His jaw set.

  • The Devil's Nurse   They Were Two

CASSIAN’S POV“It’s me,” I said, my voice low, already hating that I’d called. But the question burned hotter than my pride — a quiet itch under the skin I couldn’t ignore. I had to know.I closed my eyes and gritted my teeth the second I heard that voice slither through the speaker.“Well, brother Cassian,” Vasili drawled from the other end of the line, that same theatrical boredom in his voice he always used when he knew he had the upper hand. “I thought you said you were never calling again.”My fingers dug into the edge of the desk, rage tightening every muscle in my body. I wanted to throw the phone away. Wanted to let the fury burn through the line and choke him where he sat. But instead, I forced the words out—growled them past the pressure in my throat.“I need to know something. Something important.”A long pause. Then the faint rustling of fabric. Probably lounging somewhere, enjoying a drink, detached from the fire he lit and walked away from.“And what could an old man lik

  • The Devil's Nurse   A Mole in my Home

CASSIAN’S POVLucas’s words echoed through my skull like a bullet:“The signal shows that he’s inside the premises, sir.”The line had cut. Silence slammed into me like a physical blow.My grip on the phone tightened until the plastic creaked. I didn’t move. I let the silence linger—held the weight of it in my bones. Then something explosive erupted inside me. My chair screeched back as I knocked whatever my hand and feet could find all over the place. The wheels of my chair spinning uselessly as I lunged forward and grabbed Lucas by the collar, bending him to my level.“Say that again,” I growled, low and lethal.Lucas didn’t flinch, but the tremor in his jaw betrayed him. “The trace pinged from inside the mansion. East wing. Someone let him in.”Let him in.The words repeated like a war drum in my skull. Not snuck in. Not hacked.Let. Him. In.I shoved Lucas back and stormed toward the exit, ignoring the chaos behind me—the frantic voices, the scrabbling for radio contact, the sharp

  • The Devil's Nurse   Boo!

CASSIAN’S POVMy grip on the phone tightened, knuckles cracking. My breath slowed. A coldness prickled down my spine as the hairs on my neck stood.I knew that silence. Then—A low chuckle slithered through the receiver. Slow. Rotten. Mocking.Tsskk.“I thought you were smarter, Cassian,” the voice drawled, dark and amused. “But taking your nurse… it was easy. Pathetically easy.”My teeth clenched so hard I tasted blood. I didn’t speak. I didn’t breathe. I couldn’t give him the satisfaction of knowing how deep that voice sank into my bones—how badly I wanted to crush the device in my hand and tear through time to reach him.Elias.The boy with blood-soaked hands and a rotting heart. The rat who wore my daughter’s death like a badge. And now he dared to put his filthy hands on Reina?I swallowed the roar building in my chest. Forced my voice to stay calm—icy and sharp enough to kill.“So after all these years, I finally get to hear the coward’s voice,” I said, venom sliding off every s

  • The Devil's Nurse   Bring Her Back or Die

CASSIAN’S POVThe second the words left my mouth—“Where is my nurse, Ethan?”—The entire courtyard went still. The kind of still that makes your ears ring. The kind of still that comes before the chaos.Ethan opened his mouth to speak.Too late.I pulled the trigger.Bang! The gunshot cracked through the air like a thunderclap. One of the guards behind him screamed as the bullet tore through his thigh. He crumpled instantly, a thick spray of blood splashing across the pristine concrete, his hands clutching at the wound as he howled. The others flinched but didn’t move. They knew better.I didn’t lower the gun. My voice came out low and blistering as I pointed it at Ethan. “You walk back in here empty-handed, no nurse, no goddamn explanation, and you thought you’d kneel like it was enough?”“Boss, please—” Ethan tried.I wheeled my chair with sudden speed—grabbed him by the collar—and slammed the butt of the gun against the side of his head.He grunted, falling sideways, blood already

  • The Devil's Nurse   Where’s My Nurse?!

CASSIAN’S POVThe moment the car pulled away from the lot, I wheeled toward the window, every bone in my body taut, every breath clawing against the chaos rising inside me.I watched the vehicle move further and further away until it blurred into the traffic and the haze of the city beyond. My fingers flexed against the armrest of the wheelchair, the leather creaking under my grip. A cold dread settled in my chest—tight, sharp, and insistent.I shouldn’t have let her go.This was a mistake.A fucking stupid one.We should have come up with a better plan. Something more secure. Something less reckless than using my nurse as bait.Wait—nurse. That’s all she is. Just my goddamn nurse. A property I own. A tool I wield. A pawn I placed on the board.I shouldn’t be concerned. This isn’t concern. This isn’t panic or fear or—Then why the fuck can’t I breathe?I leaned forward slightly, my hand bracing against the windowsill. My knuckles turned white. The air in the room felt thick. Unforgivi
