Two weeks later...

Zayden still hasn't woken up but the doctors said he was doing better. We should be expecting him to open his eyes any moment from now. Meanwhile Jade and I had done some research for baby girl names.

She had suggested something rare and unique like Iris, Calisa and Salomi. But, honestly, I won't be picking a name without Zayden.

Noah came to visit, and when I finally got discharged, he followed me to the new safe house Zayden bought before he went to prison. Oliver hired more bodyguards around the house, and I had at least two of them following me everywhere.

Tyrell attempted to get close to me once, but once again he slipped away before the cops or my bodyguards could catch him.

He finally sent me the location and time for our meeting. He requested I come meet him in Denver alone ten days from now and I was to come unarmed. He was stupid if he thought I would follow his orders.

So right now, preparations were being made by the cops since I was the bait. They assured me that I would get protection but I wasn't going to rely on that alone.

Oliver had one of my bodyguards teach me little self-defence tricks and how to shoot a gun. Of course, we got the weapon licensed, and it was approved by the authorities since we needed the defence skills for the operation.

Jade had been living with me and sometimes Oliver comes around. Whatever was going on between them was getting intense, I concluded that they were probably fucking when I caught them making out in the garage. I didn't question Jade; it was her decision, besides, she needed the closure.

Today was another sunny day and I just left the hospital after going to visit my daughter. She had grown bigger in size in such a short amount of time. She was the size of a notebook two weeks ago now she had doubled in size.

Around noon, I headed to the company.

Yes, I was headed to Kent Tech to pay Aiden a visit. Of course, I had to book an appointment two days ago since Zayden was no longer part of the company, and I could not just waltz in and out.

Lately, Aiden has become a trending topic. His name and pictures were on every street. It was like Zayden didn't even exist.

I'm happy at least he was doing well and the company didn't crash but what I didn't like was that he was deceiving the public.

And I was going to change that, I would do everything in my power to bring him down and Serve justice for myself and Zayden.

I got to the all-familiar building around noon. I was told to wait in the waiting area as Aiden was in a meeting.

Half an hour later, I stepped into the place that used to be Zayden's office. The interior had changed. The grey colour on the wall had been replaced with white. The desk had been changed, literally everything was changed and there was a lady in my old office.

Probably his new secretary. Aiden was sitting behind the desk when I stepped in, a jovial smile on his face.

I didn't smile back and just took a seat opposite him. He asked for his secretary to leave us, and as soon as she stepped out, he beamed, his face all too innocent."Lillian, how have you been?"

I contemplated skipping all formalities but that would ruin My plans." I've never been better."

He sighed, his face suddenly laced with worry. He was an incredible actor, and being able to mask his black heart was incredible.

" I heard what happened." He pinched the space between his brows." I knew Sage was obsessed with my brother but I didn't expect her to go that far. You must have been through a lot."

I clenched my fist on my thighs. He has got some nerves." Yeah, I didn't expect her to go that far either."

He gave me a warm smile." You don't have to worry about that anymore, she'll face appropriate punishment for her actions."

I couldn't tell the difference between Aiden and the devil. He was willing to pin everything on Sage when he was the mastermind behind it. Now, I felt pity for the poor girl especially since she was pregnant and the pregnancy was his.

" How long are you going to keep up this act?" My voice remained neutral.

He creased his brows in confusion."Huh? What do you mean?"

" Sage isn't smart enough to pull the act. She's not smart enough to get in contact with criminals and orchestrate my kidnap."

The smile on his face dropped, his face completely blank.

"and you want to know what was worse? Sage doesn't know where I live, well, no one does except you." I raised a finger at him, my voice like that of Ice.

" Are you throwing accusations at me?"He suddenly scoffed." I seriously don't know what you're talking about. You divorced Zayden and completely disappeared, how was I supposed to know where you lived?"

I leaned in on the desk." Of course, you don't know where I lived, but the day you came to my jewellery shop, it wasn't just to come to say hi. You waited till I left the building and followed me to my house. You waited for Jade to leave and sent your puppets to abduct me. Don't you dare deny it because I've done the math, and it all adds up?"

The office fell silent for a moment and the Aiden got to his feet. He walked over to the glass wall and stared out of the city.

"You're a smart woman, Lillian." He spoke, his voice devoid of every emotion." I did have feelings for you. You were such a sweet little soul. I enjoyed the time I made you laugh and the time we spent together." He turned around and took steps towards where I sat.

He had removed the mask he had been wearing all this time. The look in his eyes was dark and evil. That playful smile and cheerful look had completely vanished into thin air.

" But I hate sharing with my brother. I hate anything that belongs or is acquainted with him. I gave you a chance to be with me but you chose him." He paused, circling his desk.

" You see, I hate my brother and anyone close to him. That's why he has no one around him, but eventually, you were too stubborn to listen. I started hating you when you chose to marry him and it only intensified when I saw you were making him happy."

He placed both hands on the desk, his figure looming above me.

I didn't back down." He deserves to be happy."

He burst out laughing, his voice sounding like a song from hell." No, he doesn't. He's a monster, a murderer and a psychopath. He took everything from me, so he doesn't deserve any happiness, and I'll do anything beyond my power to make sure he doesn't get it."

I stared at Aiden. The man I once thought was a good friend of mine. The man I once thought had a kind heart. The man who had helped me when I needed a place to stay. It's funny how people change.

" Everything happened in the past. And he was locked up for it, isn't that enough punishment?" I breathed, sweat breaking out on my face.

He shook his head." It's not enough and that's why I'll make sure he'll rot behind bars."

Disbelief was evident on my face as I didn't break eye contact." So you kidnapped me because you didn't want to see Zayden happy."

He crooked a smile." Actually, I had Sage drug him and then make a video of them having sex. She was supposed to get pregnant because she was ovulating, but unfortunately, she didn't, so I took matters into my own hands."

I was breathing heavily by now, tears threatening to fall as I listened to how they set him up.

" It took a while and a whole lot of fucking for her to finally get pregnant. Oliver almost ruined my plan once when he ran a DNA test but the earth was in my favour that day."

My jaw tightened, the hatred I felt right now was so surreal." You are aware that Sage is carrying your child, right? And she's currently behind bars."

He shrugged." She messed up everything. She was too desperate to get you out of the picture so I had to be careful with my plans." He suddenly burst out laughing like a maniac.

" I have to admit, I loved the way Zayden broke when you two divorced. It accelerated my plans and next thing I knew, poof....he was no longer CEO."

I gritted my teeth, the first tear sliding down my cheeks." Do you know what you did! Zayden almost died trying to rescue me!" I yelled unable to control my emotions." I could have lost my baby."

He looked down at my belly for a moment." That was the whole plan, for Zayden to die somehow, and then my mother and all the people he killed would get justice."

I slammed my head on the desk "Justice? Zayden didn't kill anyone except Oliver's brother and that was an accident!"

He scoffed."oh, so he told you his little story. Don't tell me you believe him."

I snarled, anger bursting through my veins." Yes, I believe him. He barely had memories of what happened so don't go blaming him for something he didn't commit. You weren't even there to see it for yourself ." My voice rose, echoing through the walls.

Aiden walked around the desk and stood right in front of me, our bodies almost touching.

I won't back down.

"I wasn't there but my dad was. I have enough evidence to keep him behind bars for the rest of his life, and the moment you all are done with your little charade, I'm reopening his case,and he will be sentenced to life imprisonment."

I shook my head, taking one step away from him." No..you can't do that. You can't..."

He chuckled." You just wait and see Lily. All evidence would appear in court and you'd be shocked with the amount of power I have over this case."

I took another step back, wiping my tear-stricken face with my sleeve." That's if I don't put you behind bars first for kidnapping and torturing me."

His shoulders vibrated in amusement."I'd love to see you try."

I turned on my heels the next second. I can't stand breathing the same air with him.

"Wait." He called and I paused just as I was about to twist the door knob.

" I don't usually like leftovers. If Zayden hadn't fucked you, I'd probably consider dating you."

My chest boiled in anger as I turned around to face him." What did you just say to me?"

He sighed, closing the space between us." I'm offering you another chance. Be my whore and I wouldn't drag you down along with your filthy husband .You'll leave the life of luxury you've always wanted."

My eyes blazed in fury. My face turned beet red. The next moment I sent my palm flying to his face, colliding with his cheeks in a resounding clash.

Then I spat on his face, the saliva landing right in between his eyes.

"You're a disgusting bastard." I snarled, my fists inching to pound into his face.

He only chuckled." I don't usually hit women but I want to crush your head right now."

I was beyond disappointed. I was more disappointed in myself for not seeing this coming." You can go to hell!"

He wiped the spit from his face with a napkin and threw the piece of cloth to the floor." Get out of my office."

My chest heaved up and down as I stood there for a few seconds before opening the door and stalking out.

The moment I got outside and into my car, I was already sweating my guts out.

I nodded at my bodyguard and driver, and he turned on the ignition, and soon the car started moving.

A slow smile suddenly spread across my face. Now I have all the evidence I need to put that bastard behind bars.
