Anelisa

I tilted my head to look at him and even though he looks angry with my attempt, he suddenly keeps a calm demeanor.

His eyes piqued with curiosity and the jaw which I saw ticked.

Annoyingly, I pulled out from him, breathing profusely and then turned around only to find the first blonde bouncing towards me.

Damn it.

I don't even know who to hide from.

However, I felt his hand again, so fast as it grabbed my wrist and shoved me aside as though preventing me from seeing him.

"Alaric?" He calls running his fingers through his hair before it connects to his face, just the same way this masked man does that signature.

"Go stand by sariah, I'd get back to you" he orders and I realized this first blonde was trying to peep behind ala... whatever his name is.

However, the masked man places his hand on the second blonde to prevent him from spying.

I hid properly with shaky legs.

The second blonde doesn't say a word and I guess he's a man of few words.

"When do I get to kill her? I can't even find her anywhere" he argues in a fierce tone that I wondered who's the controller among them.

I couldn't see if he's leaving or not because this masked man's posture felt like a tall wall.

My blood pressure shoots up as my legs shake as sweat forms on my forehead.

"She's mine to handle, now go handle that dragon of yours before I kill it!"

The masked man snapped and I could feel my heart pounder as I was suddenly bewildered by his declaration.

What does he mean I'm his to handle? Maybe he just wants to be the only one to kill me.

It certainly means it's a competition to kill me.

Nice, at least people fight to kill me now.

The blonde kissed his teeth, and I heard his grunt before hearing a retreating footstep.

The dragon that tried to attack me was the blonde's dragon.

As I was lost in thoughts, I suddenly felt a grab on my collar.

"Now I'm ordering you to stop all these your stupid attempts..."

I sneezed and squirmed inside gnashing my teeth as I didn't expect that.

He closed his eyes, definitely controlling his anger that would burst out.

"Stop..."

Another sneeze escaped my nose and I fluttered my lashes. Why am I behaving like this and in front of their ruler?

He heaves a sigh, tightening his grip around my collar that pain courses around my shoulders.

"What's your name?"

I got puzzled, drowning in his eyes as it felt like I forgot my name for a second.

He's frustrated, he hates my nonchalant attitude but then, he's still holding on to me.

My feet aren't even touching the ground, they are wiggling and that's the amount of lift I need to reach his height.

"It's..."

My stomach grumbled and I felt so embarrassed that everything was happening now.

He grit his teeth, irritated but I still placed a stern look, wanting to appear as fearless as I can.

Our eyes were fixed to each other.

"You know the kind of people I hate?"

"Wolves and that's why you kill us for your games"

I'm always swift to answer when it comes to such questions and I think that's my problem.

He wears a surprise whenever I give such a reply.

"Okay, that certainly means I'm putting you up for a game"

My brows pulled together as anxiety wells up inside me.

"Alaric, my dragon, it's sick!" The blonde yells in a frantic tone and just as I tried to push out of the masked man grip just so the blonde doesn't see me, he appeared in a swift.

He gasped unbelievably as the masked man kept me on the ground and I was stuck in between them.

"You brat! What did you do to my sariah!" He screeches and the masked man only heaves a sigh.

"Alaric! My baby, it can't even stand!" He complains like a kid to his father and judging from the appearance of the masked man, I doubt if he has a son this grown.

Or maybe, they just don't grow old.

I couldn't answer because I didn't do anything to that ugly dragon, the culprit is the masked man but why is he quiet?

I understand now, he wants to punish me.

I expected him to hide me again right? But a wicked smile lingers on his lips as he said;

"You prove to be brave, quite annoying and a frustration, maybe you should use that on him"

I was confused as the masked man moved some inches away from me.

Now, I'm faced with the blonde who was so furious that he'd tear me apart right here and no one would save me.

The masked man suffers from bipolar, I'm forced to believe that.

Aren't I his to handle anymore? How quick he is to change his mind. All my childhood memories keep dropping in my head until now.

Should I fall on my knees and beg that I did nothing and I'd never cross paths with him?

No.

"Fight, both of you and the winner..."

He paused and I shook my head, my eyes pleaded with him because I know there's no way I'd win.

He's wicked. At first, I thought the masked man was for me but this proposal only proves that he wasn't.

The angry blonde has already taken off his shirt, exposing that tanned skin of his.

"The winner will have a chance to belong to the court room"

The blonde seemed interested in that and his lips curved upward in a cocky smile.

"If she beats me, I promise to stay away from her but if I do, I'm eating her Alaric"

I quickly turned to look at the masked man who's muscles rippled in such a way that I'm rendered breathless again.

"Go on" he approves and before I could turn to look at the blonde, he lunged at me.

My body sank to the dead sand, and my head felt like it broke against a stone, his fingers were struggling to snap out the flesh on me as defending was futile too.

This isn't what I bargained for.

Rosie’s POV“Rosie, do you really have to leave?” My father asked as he stood at the corner of my room watching me pack my things. “We could find some other solutions here.”“Yes, my dear… please listen to your father. We can work harder and make a good living for the baby. You don’t have to run like this… what do you want us to do without you?”My heart shattered at her words. I stopped what I was doing and took her hands. “Mother, I can assure you that there is no other way. Father, there is simply no other solution…”“But you told us they don’t know about this. What is the worst that could happen?” My father insisted.“What if they both come knocking?” I asked, already visualizing the horrific scene. “Father, I would never wish for such embarrassment for you. No, please just let me go. Once I settle down, you may even come and stay with me… I am sure we will be fine.”My mother hugged me tight, not wanting to let me go. But eventually, my father understood. He slowly pried my mothe

Marcus drove in silence, his eyes occasionally flicking to the rearview mirror like he was checking for threats that didn't exist.I pressed my fingers against the window, watching the city blur past. My chest felt tight with anticipation. I hadn't seen my mother in days, and the last time I did, she looked so frail, so close to slipping away. What if she looked worse? What if the Don's promises were empty? My stomach twisted at the thought, but I forced myself to breathe. He said she was responding to treatment. I had to believe that. When we finally arrived at the hospital, Marcus walked me to the entrance, his presence drawing stares from everyone around. I didn't care. All I wanted was to see my mother. The receptionist looked up as I approached, and before I could say anything, she smiled."Miss Earhart, your mother is in room 304. Third floor," she said warmly.I blinked, surprised she already knew my n

That feeling of her abandoning them again.Aria heaves from where she stood handing the boys over to me like they're my responsibility. They ran towards me, cowering themselves around me and I swallowed.I rubbed their hair smoothly while my gaze drifted back to Aria who stood poised to her door frame, like one who needed an explanation."Hey boys, go sit in the car" I whispered, handing over the key to Chris who pulled Colton from his embrace and dragged him mildly to the car.Aria was still there, in that position with a frown on her face and my feet drew closer."Did she tell you where she's off to?""Her lover came picking her up," she replied, looking quite tired.I sighed, taking out a card from my pocket and shoving it to her face. That will settle it, for the boys must have put her through. Her face was still twisted as she snatched it away from me

[Rosie's POV]"That talk sure doesn't look friendly, it's like he's stressing you" Colton said letting out a soft sigh and I fussed."Where are we going? Is the house under siege too because of the guy who is sick in the head?""Chris! That's no way to talk about him, you saw what happened earlier, we were attacked and the mansion is not safe yet" I explained, trying not to raise my voice as every one of his questions leaves me hanging."Look mom, he's driving past us...now he's beside us!!!" Colton suddenly reported as he leaned to the window, smiling and knocking on the window.I thinned my lips, as I steadied my drive, letting out a soft pant."I want to be a biker mom, I want to ride through the highs and lows" he pressed on but Chris pouted his lips."Has he become our personal security? I'd want to hold her, if she'd let me.I almost pulled her for an embrace but this happy night would fade away soon if she knew who I was."So how are you doing today, boy?" She asked in a flirty tone, dumping the teddy bears in my hand."Well, happier than ever, now that you're here" I replied, hugging the bears and she pats my shoulder softly."Do you mind me asking how you got out?" I said in a brief smile as my eyes grazed her."Well, let's say I teleported," she said casually, forcing a laugh from me."I want to have that super power of yours"Saying that might seem flirtatious but I meant it in every way.She chuckled and then shook her head before attending to the boys who were leaping all over her."Oh look at you guys" she teases them, grabbing their wrists and flailing their hands. She was walking ahead of me now, with them as they were discussing, while I steadied my steps. My eyes roamed all over
