故事簡介

Dark Romance

Steamy

First-Person POV

Actor / Actress

Weak to Strong

Seraphina Blackwood spent four years as the invisible punching bag of Blackthorn Academy. Bullied for her braces, her shyness, and her refusal to act like the powerful heiress she was born to be, she clung to the only person who paid her attention—Marcus Ashford, the boy from the weakest family. He promised her forever. Their first time. And then she caught him in a hallway with Vivian Voss, the mean girl who'd made her life a living hell. On graduation day, Seraphina broke. She stepped onto the school's iconic statue, screamed at the world, and ripped off her bra in front of everyone. Her mother called her a disgrace. Her father—the most powerful man in the mafia underworld—told her he was proud. And Damian Blackthorn, the heir of Family No. 1, wrapped his jacket around her trembling body. She raised her middle finger and walked away. That was three years ago. Now Seraphina is back—a famous actress with a black eye she hides behind sunglasses, a career she built from nothing, and a secret: she's been in love with Damian Blackthorn and She just didn't know it. But Damian knows. He's been obsessed with her since the day she called herself "silly Willy" and healed his bruised elbow in a garden. He's watched her from the shadows, protected her from afar, and waited fifteen years for her to see him. Now she's back. And he's not waiting anymore. But Victor Blackthorn—Damian's father—sees Seraphina as a weakness to be eliminated. Vivian Voss is desperate to destroy her. Marcus Ashford wants her back. And Xander Vance, her abusive ex, wants her dead. Seraphina has one choice: run like she's always done or stay and fight for the love that's been chasing her since childhood. She's done running. And this time, he's catching her.

Statue Of Icons

---

POV: Seraphina

---

I was tired of being invisible. So I decided to be UNFORGETTABLE.

The highlights were new. The skirt was new. The pantyhose? I'd never worn them before. They felt strange against my skin. Wrong. But also right. Because I was WRONG. I was the wrong girl in the wrong family doing the wrong thing. And for once, I didn't care.

Blackthorn Academy loomed before me like a monument to everything I hated. Its stone walls had witnessed four years of my suffering. Four years of whispers. Four years of laughter at my expense. Four years of being the nerdy girl who belonged to Family No. 2 but acted like she belonged to nothing at all.

Not anymore.

The iron gates creaked open. Students flooded the courtyard. Graduation day. The day I was supposed to smile, accept my diploma, and fade into obscurity. The day I was supposed to be grateful for surviving.

I stepped through the gates.

And everything changed.

Whispers rippled through the crowd like wildfire. Heads turned. Eyes widened. They didn't recognize me. Of course they didn't. The girl with braces, with her head down, with her clothes two sizes too big—she was dead. I'd killed her last night in the mirror.

The highlights caught the morning sun. Gold. Bold. Everything I wasn't supposed to be.

"Is that Seraphina Blackwood?"

"Look at her skirt! It barely covers anything!"

"Who does she think she is?"

I kept walking. My heels clicked against the cobblestone. Click. Click. Click. Each step a declaration. Each step a middle finger to every single person who'd made me feel small.

The statue of the school's icons stood in the center of the courtyard. Three figures. Three founders. Three names that meant power, legacy, and fear. The Blackthorn name was carved into the stone base. My ex-boyfriend's surname. The surname of the boy everyone feared. The surname of the boy who'd never looked at me twice.

I climbed the statue.

"Get down from there!"

"Someone call a teacher!"

"She's lost her mind!"

I laughed. A wild, unhinged sound that tore from my throat. Lost my mind? No. I'd found it. For the first time in four years, I'd found it.

I screamed.

The sound echoed off the stone walls, silencing the crowd. Everyone stared. Even the birds stopped singing. I screamed until my throat burned, until my lungs ached, until every last ounce of shame had been expelled from my body.

Marcus stood in the crowd. With HER. Vivian Voss. The mean girl. The bully. The one who'd made my life a living hell since the day I walked through these gates. And Marcus—my Marcus—held her hand like she was precious. Like she was everything.

I didn't care.

I really didn't care.

He'd promised me. He'd promised we'd do it together. Our first time. And he'd given it to HER. In a hallway. Like I meant nothing. Like I was nothing.

He was right. I was nothing.

But today, I would become everything.

Teachers burst through the crowd, their faces red with fury. "Get down! You're making a mockery of yourself!"

I smiled down at them. "Good."

I bowed. A dramatic, sweeping bow. Like I was taking my final curtain call. Then I raised my head, looked directly at Vivian, and—

I ripped off my bra.

Gasps. Screams. Flashes of cameras. Everyone was taking pictures. Everyone was capturing this moment. The moment Seraphina Blackwood, the shy girl, the nerd, the invisible nothing—finally became SOMETHING.

Vivian's face twisted with rage. Marcus looked like he'd swallowed a bug. The teachers tried to climb the statue, but I kicked at their hands.

I stood there. Exposed. But I wasn't ashamed.

I was FREE.

And then—

The crowd went silent.

Not a whisper. Not a breath. Just... nothing.

And then I saw him.

Damian Blackthorn.

He stepped out of the shadows like he'd been waiting for this moment. His surname was carved into the stone beneath my feet. His family owned this school. His family was Family No. 1. Untouchable. Unapproachable. The boy every girl wanted. The boy Vivian had tried and failed to keep.

He was beautiful. Dark hair. Ice blue eyes that saw through everything. A jaw that could cut glass. And he was walking toward me.

Every step echoed. Each one deliberate. Each one sending a ripple of fear and awe through the crowd.

He climbed the statue. He didn't ask. He didn't hesitate. He just climbed.

And then he was there. Right in front of me. Close enough to touch.

His jacket came off. It was expensive. Custom. I could smell his cologne—something dark and woodsy that made my head spin.

He wrapped it around me.

"Get down," he said. His voice was low. Controlled. Commanding.

I should have listened. I should have said thank you. I should have been grateful.

Instead, I huffed.

He offered me his hand.

I ignored it.

I raised my middle finger. High enough for everyone to see. High enough for Vivian to see. High enough for Marcus to see. High enough for the whole damn world to see.

And then I climbed down. Walked through the parted crowd. And strutted out of the school.

The last thing I heard was Damian's voice, barely a whisper:

"Finally."

I didn't look back.

I didn't need to.

I was done being invisible.
