LOGINThe forest was too vast, so Livia wouldn't be surprised if it took her until dawn to get back to the pack house. As she walked through the dark forest, with only the faint light of the moon illuminating her way, she couldn't help but cry as she thought about what had happened earlier. Her image had been tarnished by her sister's actions, and she didn't know how she could face everyone anymore.
Everyone seemed to think she was the bad one, thanks to Amber's manipulation. Livia didn't know what to do. Aldrake was even more angry with her now. She was trying her best not to engage with Amber anymore, hoping to improve her image and get Aldrake's attention, but it seemed like Amber was determined to ruin everything. It hurt to think that Aldrake wasn't listening to her, that his mind was closed off to her. She didn't have any other intentions; all she wanted was for him to notice her and show her some love. That's all.
"I told you, Livia, leave him! We don't deserve a bastard like him! We can still find a man who can love you back, and that's not him, Livia". Her wolf, Lilly, growled inside her head.
"But I love him--".
"And he doesn't love you, Livia! Come on, don't be so desperate! Leave him and let's find our happiness! He's not the only man destined for you, Livia. Our Moon Goddess has another plan for you, and I know that".
"It's easy to say "leave him", Lilly, but it's hard to do, especially when I love him so much".
"St*pid--" Lilly's words were cut off by a wolf suddenly appearing in front of Livia.
A rogue! F*ck! Why now, when she's not in the right state to fight?.
"Unleash me, Livia! Let me handle that dog. I want to release my burning anger toward that bastard you call husband!". Lilly's growl echoed in Livia's mind. Her wolf can't control the anger, so she growl loudly in her mind.
"You're not in a good condition to fight, Lilly!" Livia firmly told her, studying the rogue's every move.
Its teeth were razor-sharp, and it was drooling like it was ready to devour her.
"Trust me, Livia. My burning anger would help me k*ll that sh*tty dog!! Just unleash me, NOW!!" Livia was taken aback by Lilly's loud shout, which made her close her eyes.
She had no choice but to let Lilly take control of her body. "Take care" Were the last words Livia said before they shifted forms.
A loud howl came from Lilly after she took over Livia's body. Lilly was a large white wolf with gentle, deep-set blue eyes. She was a trained wolf. When Livia's best friend was still alive, she would often take them to train with the pack members. Livia used to be one of the pack warriors, to make her body stronger and more resilient. But after Kleo died, Livia stopped training. She wasn't close to the pack members anyway, since they preferred Amber's company. So, after her friend's passing, Lilly and Livia would train at midnight.
"It's nice to be in control. Now, show me what you got, sh*tty dog!" The rogue in front of them didn't waste any time and attacked immediately, and Lilly did the same.
While fighting, they were taken aback by three more rogues emerging from the darkness. "Sh*t! They've planned this!" Lilly said.
They became alert after being surrounded by the rogues. "Look at that, a Luna who got lost in our territory" One of the rogues said.
Livia fell silent at what she heard. She stared at him, and that's when she noticed he was bigger than his companions. At this point, it seemed like they were in trouble, especially since Lilly wasn't in top condition. It looked like the one in front of them was the leader.
"Livia, we better run than feel sorry. You aren't in a good condition, so we better run before they k*ll us!!" Livia warned Lilly, but she was stubborn. "Ain't my forte to run, Livia. I'm Luna's wolf, so I'm not going to run like a scared kitten. So be ready!".
"Lilly, this isn't the time to be proud! You're not in a good condition, so----Lilly!!" It was too late to warn her, as she charged at the rogues. Livia was scared for her life, since Lilly wasn't fully recovered from their training the night before.
Her body was weak due to the lack of communication with her mated wolf, and the same went for Livia.
They weren't bonded to their mate, which is why they experienced weakness at times. The third full moon was approaching, and they still hadn't had their mating session, which would have strengthened their bodies and wolf forms. And now, their fate is to fight until their ends come without any shared help with their mates.
One against four. They were at a disadvantage because the rogues were attacking them simultaneously. They didn't have eyes in the back of their heads, so Lilly couldn't avoid getting hurt.
"Lilly, let's just run!!" Livia shouted, but Lilly wasn't listening.
"Argh!!" Lilly growled in pain as one of the rogues bit into her leg, while she was also wounded on her face due to the rogue's long claws. Livia called out to her, "Lilly," but she didn't respond.
Livia was scared to death, thinking that this was the end for both of them, but to her surprise, a large black werewolf attacked the leader of the rogues. It bit into his neck before throwing him far away. The rogue's body even hit the tree trunk, which was the cause of its death. Then, it attacked the rogue's companions, and in almost a minute, it had killed all the rogues. Lilly collapsed to the ground due to the extreme weakness of her body from the wounds she had sustained. And because she couldn't control her body anymore, Livia slowly shifted back to her human form.
Even through the pain and the blur of tears clouding my vision, I still turned to look at him.I managed to smile as he quickly crossed the room toward me. Ria immediately stepped aside so he could stand beside the bed, and he gently took my hand."I'm here, my love. You don't have to be afraid anymore," he whispered before leaning down to kiss my forehead."W-What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in the Raven Pack for the alliance meeting?" I asked, struggling to speak through the pain."How could I not be by your side while you're giving birth to our first child?" he answered softly. His words made my heart ache with relief. He kept his promise—to be with me when the time came. I had thought it would be impossible, especially with the Raven Pack being so far away from Blood Moon. Then, I proceed to push until the pain went numb, and the first cry of our baby echo throughout the clinic. It made me smile, a wide smile before I fell into darkness. _________When I woke fr
“Luna! Please walk carefully—you might slip!” Ria fussed beside me, gripping my arm anxiously.I laughed softly because of her reaction. She worried too much. “Ria, I’m not going to slip,” I assured her.“Still, Luna… you need to be extra careful. Something might happen to you or the baby.” She eased me down onto a bench. We were in the vegetable and fruit garden they had once brought me to. Since then, it has become my favorite place here in the Blood Moon territory. The air was fresh, the colors soothing, and the quiet hum of nature always helped me relax. It was a perfect place if you wanted to have peace of mind, and help you to calm down your growing anxiety.“We’re fine. You don’t need to worry so much, Ria. Right, baby?” I said as I rubbed my belly. I laughed when the baby kicked back gently.I was still caressing my stomach when a loud voice called out like something bad happened.“Luna!”We turned to see Felly rushing toward us, almost slipping into her own foot.“You don’t
Pain. That was all Livia could feel as she stood in the open field of the Blood Moon Pack, staring at the countless bodies laid across the ground. She didn’t know any of them personally, yet the grief stabbed deeply into her chest. Her heart ached for the families left behind — especially the brave warriors who fought in a battle that erupted on what should have been a day of celebration for the Lunar Game. Now, with dawn breaking over the horizon, the first light of a new day touched not living faces but cold, lifeless ones.Livia remained rooted in place, unable to feel the burning heat of the sun against her skin; her entire body felt numb as she looked at the tragedy before her.Her hands were tightly clenched. Her jaw trembled with restrained emotion. She wanted to look away — wanted to cover her ears so she wouldn’t hear the cries of mourning families. But she couldn’t.The cries of the children were what hurt her most — their small trembling voices as they tried to wake their f
“Where are we going?” Aldrake asked as they sprinted through the forest.“Somewhere far from them. I need to rest… my power is nearly drained,” Amber replied breathlessly. But before they could get farther, a beam of light suddenly shot toward them from behind, forcing the three of them to crash violently to the ground.Amber quickly stood and turned, her fists clenching when she saw another sorcerer — one whose power equaled Florita’s.It was Madame Julie. Florita’s sister.“Julie,” Amber hissed.“Yes, Amber. It’s me. Don’t be afraid—” Madame Julie didn’t finish her sentence because Amber screamed back at her.“I’m not afraid! I have never feared any of you — only hated you!”“Is that so?” Julie replied calmly. “I can’t really blame you. I would also harbor hatred… especially if my parents were murdered.”“Shut up! Don’t you dare mention my parents!” Amber’s fury erupted, and black smoke swirled around her clenched fist. But Madame Julie only smirked.“And what use are your minions a
Half of the Moonlight Pack’s kingdom had already been destroyed. Corpses were scattered both outside and inside the palace, yet no one stopped. The battle raged on, each side fighting until only the strongest — the ones destined to stand — remained.Meanwhile, Aldus and the others finally reached the grand hall of the Moonlight Pack. The Elders stood at the front, along with Florita, their eyes fixed on the thick black magic coating the massive doors.“They’re inside,” Sebastian said, and everyone nodded.“Stand back,” Elder Caelum commanded before beginning his spell. The barrier covering the door slowly cracked. Moments later, it shattered completely, the explosion tearing apart the enormous doors of the hall. There on the throne sat Aldrake, as though waiting for them. At his side stood Amber, smirking at the intruders.Aldus looked around the room, scanning every corner — but he didn’t see Livia.“Where is she?” he asked, his voice cold.“She? And who exactly are you referring to
Minutes passed, and Livia could feel her strength draining away. She tried—again and again—to summon the power Florita taught her, but nothing happened. No spark. No warmth. Nothing.“Enough, Livia. You’ll only exhaust yourself further,” her mother said worriedly.Livia opened her eyes and sighed in frustration. “I can’t use the power Florita taught me. You’re probably right, Mom. This place is wrapped in Amber’s magic—that’s why I can’t unleash anything. I can’t even cast a simple spell to open the lock of this prison.” Her voice trembled with irritation.More minutes passed before Amber finally appeared. Livia and her mother instantly stood.“Well?” Amber smirked. “Have you all forgiven each other yet?”“You’re unbelievable, Amber! You’re truly shameless! You hurt the very people who treated you like their own child!” Livia shouted furiously.“You’re right. I am shameless, Livia,” Amber replied casually. “Why? Did you think I begged them to adopt me back then?”Her words struck like
