Chapter 45

Nina POV

My head was throbbing and my body ached all over. What happened to me? Everything was pitch black and all I could smell was dirt, blood and sweat. I tried moving my arms and legs. I realized they were tied up with something. The clink I heard told me it was a chain. It was wrapped around my neck, down my back, wrapped around my wrist and down to my ankles. The way my breath came back to hit me, made me realize I had a bag of some sort over my head. Trying to clear my head, I pushed my memory. I remember the date. We were driving home and that’s it.

‘We were ambushed. Someone hit our car and we went rolling till we hit a tree that stopped us. You hit your head hard but I am doing my best to heal you!” Raven said.

‘You’re still here?! How could that be with the silver chains around me?’

‘I don’t know. I think a piece of your jewelry blocks anything from interfering with me. They cannot take me away from you as long as you have that jewelry on.
