Just keep going

The past few days hasn’t been easy for Erica, she had been sleeping too long than usual and been tired too much.

Erica lazily walked out of the bathroom with her soft white towel around her chest.

She finally felt a relief after having a long sweaty night. She doesn’t know why she’s feeling this way, could it because of her period is coming soon, and that should be any time today.

Her body was dripping wet, water dropped down her body slowly to the ground but she ignored it all and went to her bed as she fell heavily on it like a bag of rice.

She released a heavy sigh and ran her hands through her wet hair.

 Yes she kept her words, she hasn’t gone to work in the past few days, ignored Mrs Sandra calls and even her colleagues calls.

She wants to be seen gone to them and at the same time, she has been staying indoors.

She was already running out of beverages and needed to go grocery shopping but still what if she gets spotted out there.

She was afraid of shame.

How would they all react when the one good and well mannered Erica gets spotted outside especially after few days of hiding inside.

Erica turned to look at herself in her standing mirror and rolled her eyes.

“who cares? I can’t starve myself because of the fear of being seen in the public” she clicked her tongue as she stood up and walked to her closet to pick something good to wear.

Erica took out a black sweatshirt and wore it on a black crop top with a black joggers on.

She went to her shoe shelf and took out her white Nike sneakers and put in on immediately.

She went to her mirror to stare at herself, a smile appeared on her face.

“Looking like an idol” she smiled at herself and was about to leave but then she paused.

She had just seen something on her dressing table..

“I think I might need you too” she said to the face cap and picked it up then put it on.

Erica walked out of her room with her purse in her hands. With that, she left her room and the house.

There was nothing to eat but she was able to grab herself a cup of milk.

“I have to fill up the refrigerator” she clicked her tongue and shook her head looking into the almost empty refrigerator before her.

  Meanwhile, Aurelio was seated in the lobby room this time. He hasn’t gone out of his mansion for the past three days. He totally agrees with Rowan that Erica would be pregnant.

The little doubt he had in him had gone and now he is just waiting for the news to drop.

He went back on being cool with his father and grandpa with the believe he has gotten what he wanted from them already.

Aurelio had been having sleepless nights since the past few days.

All his mind was on Erica, Rowan was unable to bring good news home these past few days.

He said he could not find her at work, and even when he asked Mrs Sandra, she said the same thing that Erica hasn’t resumed work and she wasn’t answering her calls.

All her colleagues said the same thing that they had spotted her no where.

It was all giving Aurelio different pictures in his head, 

Could it be she left the city?

Or could it be she is gone already? 

With those thoughts in his head, he still tried to remain calm and get good vibes instead.

 It was another day, a bright morning infact. He had sent Rowan out for the day again still hoping he could get something out of today.

Rowan had left with some other of the guards as early as possible. This time he would be going to wait at her apartment.

Rowan had made up his mind to stay outside her apartment till she steps out even if it won’t be today, he will stay as long as possible till she comes out.

He believes she is hiding in her house.

 The black Bentley flying spur vehicle had been waiting few miles away from Erica’s apartment.

Rowan was in one of the car with some other men, they sat in patiently waiting for Erica to step out.

“like I said earlier, we are not leaving her until she steps out of that house. We need to get this done today and that is why I have gotten you all foods and drinks to help keep you up till whenever we leave this place” Rowan said to them

“Yes Sir” they replied him since he was the head of the guards.

 After seating in the car for minutes, Rowan picked up his phone to see if he has missed calls or whatever but then a guard exclaimed immediately.

“I think that should be her.. the one dressed in that outfit…the all black one” one of his men said and immediately Rowan turned to his right and could see Erica definitely dressed in an all black outfit.

Her head was low and she also had a face cap on, “who is she hiding from?” he thought.

Erica eyes turned to their direction and immediately he left his head to fall low.

He didn’t want to be seen , neither does he wants his other men to be seen by her.

She already stopped a cab and went in immediately “Follow that vehicle” Rowan said referring to the taxi Erica had boarded.

The car engine got revived and then the car went away slowly.

“I don’t want any of them to get suspicious of me.. that is us” Rowan said to him immediately and saw him nod his head in reply.

 The drive to the grocery mall was a very smooth one, Erica had already gotten into the mall and immediately went around to get the things she needed in the house.

Her budget was just to spend $200 or even less but with what she was seeing in the price tag. It is showing she will not be able to get all she wants. About few minutes later of shopping snacks, chocolates, sanitary pads, drinks, yoghurts and other food stuffs she would need in the house,

She pulled the trolley in her hands with herself to the cashier to pay for the items she had gotten herself.

Little did she know Rowan and his men were waiting for her outside the mall.

 And as soon as she was done she left the mall immediately since she was Hungry.

Erica wasn’t dumb, she could see distant men in black suits and a black shade on their faces.

“wow, nice security…” she said it lowly and stepped further to see the Bouncers outside the mall.

“Were they waiting for me ..?”

She thought and shook her head as she made her way to the other side of the road to get a cab and then she spotted a familiar car she had seen earlier by the other side of the road.

She remembered when she was leaving her house, she saw that car.

Erica became confused.

“Hope they aren’t following me?” she thought and stared at the car for sometime, she looked away and slowly looked around to see those men in black suit and black shades by every corner of the mall, they all spread themselves and that kept her thinking what’s going on.

She began to feel uncomfortable and kept standing waiting for a cab to come around but it was like none of them will eventually pass..

About minutes of standing without getting a cab, she sighted one of them standing few miles away from her and another crossed to the other side of the road.

“Is he coming to me?” she thought and one by one they crossed to the other side of the road.

“Yes sir, we are going to her now” she could hear one of them say.

She looked around and could see she was the only female around so there was no one else they were referring to but her.

“who are these men?!” her eyes went wide immediately.

 Just then a cab pulled before her, she rushed to the door to get in and could see that they were alerted 

“She’s leaving already” one of them said and she could hear that clearly. Without hesitation Erica immediately went in to the cab.

She turned to her back and saw that they already ran and some ran back like they were heading to the car.

“am I being stalked??” 

“by who?”

“So where are we going to ma’am?” the cab man asked her.

Should she just go home?

What if they follow her to her house?!! That would be a bad idea.

“miss?” the driver called her attention. She turned again to her back and saw the car was already coming after her!

“Just be going.. go anywhere! Anywhere around just be going and I’ll pay” she said to him and then he slowly drove away.

“and please be fast!” Erica said with fear gripping her heart.

 Rowan already got informed she was running away, it was all part of the plan.

He had a smile on his face, Erica indeed is smart. She could notice those men and things began to fall well in place.

“Go after her” he said to the guy over the phone call then he ended the call.

Rowan kept his phone low and drove the car away slowly.

“I must make sure Mr Aurelio gets what he want” he said to himself and then he put on his black shades over his eyes.
