Erica covered her ears with both of her hands. Her eyes were tightly shut close.

She really don't know what to do now..get up and run?

Where did the gun shot come from?

She smwas about to open her eyes and then she heard another gunshot “Ah!!" She screamed again.

“Erica!!" Rowan called out and she dropped her hands down from her ears as she opened her eyes and saw him standing by the door with a pistol gun in his hands.

He ran to her immediately and stretched his hands out at her as he pulled her up.

“R-r-rowan" she stuttered

“You're safe now, I'm here" he replied

“Where is Aurelio?" She asked him as she looked down at the ground.

Her body was still shaking..

“I'm not sure he knows of what is happening now, I'm really sorry I came in late" he apologized

“A maid ran to tell me she heard your scream and a gunshot" he continued and she nodded her head.

“How are you? Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked immediately as he checked up on her

“No, I'm not.. except that my hands are covered in blood" she replied as she looked at her palm.

He raised his brows at her hands and looked around the room to find two other men dead on the floor.

" Did you do this?“ He asked her as she nod her head.

" Wow, you're really the wife of a Mafia” he sighed

" You should go wash up and get dressed, I'll inform Mr Aurelio about what's going on” he replied as he walked to the slide door.

He took out his phone and made a phone call, " come into the masters room now” he said then took his phone down to make another call.

Erica hurriedly went into the bathroom to wash her hands in the washing sink.

 

She turned on the faucet and kept her hands beneath to let the water flow down to her hands.

Her hands were shaking vigorously like it won't stop…

“Ahh calm down Erica" she groaned as she grabbed the sink and looked at herself in the mirror before her.

“It's not your fault this happened, so don't blame yourself" she said to herself as she took a deep breath.

Erica exhaled heavily and resumed washing her hands.

  Aurelio was still in his car on his way to the company, a phone call came in immediately.

He turned to look at his phone on the passenger seat and saw the caller was Rowan.

“What's up?" He thought then reached for his phone to answer the call.

“Boss" Rowan voice came up and Aurelio could sense it was tense.

“What's the problem Rowan?" He replied with a question.

“It's Aryan…he sent some of his men to attack and they started with the Masters bedroom” he replied and immediately he stepped on the brake.

" Where's Erica?? Is she okay? Is she safe??“ He asked and immediately pushed the gear forward and stepped on the drive clutch as a made a swift U-turn.

“Yeah, she managed to kill two of them"

“Oh great, now I have to go deal with that guy" he replied

“Erica needs you badly, she's been trembling" he replied

“ I'm coming home now" I replied and gripped the steering wheel tightly in my hands with my eyes fixed on the road driving with full speed.

“Make sure you clear every other men of his, I don't want any to leave alive" I replied before I ended the call.

“You can't mess with Erica Aryan, not anyone else" 

  Erica got out of the bathroom and dressed up in a baggy shirt and on a baggy shorts.

She sat on the bed with her fingers intertwined. Rowan had ordered some of his fellow men to do away with the dead bodies in her room.

They were carried out of her room wrapped in a black bag.

Her eyes had been on the ground and her lips folded in.

“Where is Aurelio?" She asked again

" He's is on his way ma'am, he'll be here soon” Rowan replied as he collected the cell phones those guys were making use of.

Erica nodded her head and turned away to look at the slide door.

" Is it because I left it open?“ 

" No it's not your fault, they already planned to attack through this place here. The only issue now is that there were men tasked to secure the other way that'd lead to this slide door, what happened to them?“ Rowan replied and stood in akimbo as he walked out through the slide door

" Mr Aurelio will not be happy when he finds out, I'm scared he would deal with someone today” he added and another man walked in.

" Sir, we found them unconscious, they had drugged them before they made their way in through this slide door" he said to Rowan

“Damn it!" Rowan cussed beneath his breath

“Found anyone else?" He asked him

" Not at all, just those three” he replied and he walked back into the room to Erica.

" Do you want us to leave the room or you wait in here for Mr Aurelio?“ he asked Erica.

“Uhm, I'll stay in here. Help me call in the maids to come clean the floors, I don't know if I can stay here until they clean it" she replied

Rowan nodded his head before he bowed his head lowly and walked out through the door.

About few minutes later, a maid walked in with a bucket of disinfected water and a mop stick in her hand.

“Oh yeah thanks" Erica breathed out as she sat in the middle of her bed..

She pulled the duvet over her laps as she looked down on her hands waiting for Aurelio to come in.

 Minutes later, 

Aurelio walked into the mansion through the door, he could see Rowan and other men but ignored them.

First thing first, Erica. He needs to see her and see for himself if she's okay.

“Erica??" He called out

Erica heard the door open loudly and immediately Aurelio was standing before her.

“Aurelio!" She cried as she jumped down the bed and threw herself around him.

He wrapped her in his hands tightly and caressed her back “I am really sorry you had to face it, I'm so sorry my love" he said to her ears.

“Don't go anywhere" she said to him 

He pulled away from the hug and nods his head, just then a phone call came in from Aryan.

Aurelio glared at his phone screen before he swiped the screen answering the call.

“You bastard! How dare you?" He yelled at him immediately and Aryan laughed.

Aurelio was really angered.

How dare Aryan try to attack Erica?

“you killed three of my men, again Aurelio…”

" You tried to attack Erica! You have the guts don't you?“ He replied

" Since you couldn't release Erica, we got something else important to you" he said and Erica felt her heart begin to pound.
